Stability Analysis and Fault Changes on Wind Turbine Effect in Multi Machine Power System

This study presents stability analysis using a new approach to model the disturbances that occur in multi-machine systems connected with wind turbines. Consideration of stability and operability of conventional electric power systems planning and developing facing problems with the integration of installations in wind power plants (WPP) is needed because the current system is connected with renewable energy. This study highlighting the effects of WPP connected to a multi-engine 9 bus system from the effect of changes in disturbances occurring on several buses when operating. Disruption in multi-machine systems connected with wind turbines can affect system stability. The noise changes from bus to bus in the voltage drop effect on the system bus. The effect of wind turbine when a fault has a small moment of inertia can make the system unstable on the bus. The results of simulations carried out using ETAP to observe system stability have been carried out. The simulation results show that a system disruption that occurs in a multi engine system connected to the wind turbine does not result in a decrease in the bus near the fault then the stability decreases.

The amount of waste in Indonesia is estimated to reach 68 million tons in 2019, of which 9.52 million tons is a plastic waste. With this amount, Indonesia is ranked second in the world as the largest producer of plastic waste. One area that suffers from plastic waste is the coastal area. This plastic waste is difficult to decompose and cause environmental problems. Likewise, it happened on the Tambaan coast in Tambaan sub-district, Panggungrejo subdistrict, Pasuruan city. Currently, accumulation of plastic waste is evident throughout the coastal area. The accumulation of scattered plastic waste and its proximity to the residents' settlements has become a hotbed of mosquitoes and caused a pungent smell. The Serving Doctoral program at Universitas Brawijaya offers a solution to process plastic waste into fuel oil such as diesel, kerosene, and premium. The technology used was Muryani's distillation from Wlingi, Blitar Regency. The technology can change certain types of plastic waste to produce fuel. Karang Taruna Bina Hang Tuah was acted as a reliable partner to assist the implementation of the technology on site. This study aims to strengthen the capacity of Karangtaruna in Tambaan Village to be more concerned about the environmental problems of Tambaan beach by processing waste that has been polluted by plastic waste. The results of plastic waste treatment showed that 10 kg of dried plastic waste can be transformed into diesel, premium and kerosene with the efficiency value of 60%, 35%, and 15%, respectively.

This work investigates the effect of alkali metals (Li, Na, and K) doping on silicene sheets (2D silicon) by using Time-Dependent Density Functional Theory (TDDFT). This includes Si 13 H 22 , Si 19 H 30 , Si 54 H 74 , and Si 104 H 134 silicene sheets. The results show some variation in the IR and UV-Vis spectrums as the sheet size change, with the largest structure showing an onset of absorption in the visible spectrum. Also, the results show that excitation energy decreases significantly by 29% as the number of atoms increases from Si 13 H 22 to Si 104 H 134 . Also, this work investigates the doping effect of alkali metals (Li, Na, and K) on the silicene sheets. The doped structures showed a dipole moment as high as approximately 10 Debye. The doped structures show a significant increase in optical absorption in the visible spectrum, as well as the potential for high reactivity.

Wireless transmitters in measurement instruments act for transmitting data or signals using radio frequency or currently better known as WIFI by means of 2.4 GHz. WIFI is a wireless local area network (WLAN) communication network. With the existence of telecommunications, measurement and control in industrial processes are heading to a high level of reliability compared to the conventional wired instruments in reaching hard locations or dangerous and hazardous areas. However, this cannot be done easily especially in maintaining the communication performances. Research is needed on the reliability of the wireless transmitter itself. Several factors such as communication disruptions are new challenges for the industry of wireless technology manufacturers to be able to prevent or to minimize errors that can arise in wireless network control systems. Signal strength mapping is needed in designing wireless network control systems. In this paper, the mapping is performed by measuring the signal strength parameters (Power Level) and the use of channels (Channel Usage) at planned locations. The measurement results are then used as sample points in the mapping. Data show that the signal strength measurement at each channel has a maximum of - 60 dBm and a minimum of -105 dBm. Mapping is performed by using two methods, namely Inverse Distance Weight (IDW) and Spline Interpolation (SI) methods. The paper proposes an algorithm to select the appropriate wireless communication paths from the planned locations. The mapping results indicate the appropriate area to place the transmitter and the receiver devices in a wireless data transmission network. With good placement, it is expected that measurements using wireless transmitters have minimum disruptions. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Kemiri sunan (Reutalis trisperma (blanco) airy shaw) is a plant that has the potential to be developed as a biodiesel feedstock in Indonesia because its fruit seeds have several advantages compared to jatropha and palm oil, including its oil content and productivity. The biodiesel production process consists of three stages, namely, esterification, transesterification, and purification. The process requires strong mixing to obtain sufficient contact between the vegetable oil and the catalyst or alcohol, especially at the beginning of the reaction. It is carried out manually in the reaction process through mechanical mixing (stirring) and heating in the transesterification process. Furthermore, biodiesel production process is greatly influenced by the accuracy of concentration and type of catalyst. This study aims to identify the optimal method for the process of biodiesel production from kemiri sunan oil. The research was conducted with a one-stage transesterification to determine the biodiesel yield and quality. The results showed that several biodiesel parameters satisfied the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for biodiesel (SNI number 7182:2015). However, the kinematic viscosity of biodiesel was still higher than the standard.

The provision of more comprehensive bathymetric data, for not just apply to the modern marine application but also the development of national data infrastructure. This demand has created a series of development in bathymetric data acquisition throughout the year from the lead line, ship-borne sounding, to air-borne Lidar. However, it has pros and cons in each bathymetric data acquisition related to cost, time, manpower and accessibility. The integration idea drives from the successful of Satellite-Derived Bathymetry technique in solving the problem, moreover, this the way to achieve the data with a uniform resolution in acceptable time and cost. Therefore, this study conducted to generate bathymetric mapping at '`Pantai Tok Jembal'' using Single Band Algorithm (SBA) for two visible bands (Blue and Green) and Green Band Algorithm (GBA). Two comparative analysis conducted in this study first is between SBA-Blue and SBA-Green to evaluate the ability of each band to estimate bathymetry at '`Pantai Tok Jembal'' shallow-coastal water area and while second is between SBA-Green and GBA method to evaluate the ability of each statistical approach in computing absolute water depth. Further, the result evaluated using SBES ground truth data. The root mean square error (RMSE) and R-squared (R 2 ) computed between Single Beam Echo Sounding (SBES) data and Satellite-Derived Bathymetry (SBA and GBA), and the result shows that SBA-Green stand out in both analysis; moreover, this study successfully produces 49.69 km 2 area (Extended Area) bathymetric mapping at '`Pantai Tok Jembal'', Terengganu, Malaysia. However, to support marine application and national data infrastructure, it requires more comprehensive bathymetric data which is giving high in accuracy and reliability, further research needs to undertake to fulfil this support.

The impact of forest degradation due to open-pit mining activities causes sustainable ecological damage. Mining activities that are not organized due to the mineral exploration process have resulted in many forest areas experiencing degradation. This degradation certainly reduces the level of carbon sequestration in the area, impacting the sustainability of environmental functions around the mining area. The high carbon stock (HCS) approach is a way to help companies implement their 'no deforestation' commitments. The high carbon stock approach will identify forests that must be protected and land that can be developed. Forests with high carbon stocks are maintained because they function as carbon stores, habitats for biodiversity, and provide the necessities of life for local communities. Therefore, this study aims to obtain data on the potential for carbon stocks and create a spatial model for distributing carbon content in the concession area of PT. Vale Indonesia can later be determined as high conservation value (HCV) areas using the high carbon stock approach. Measurement of carbon content in the study used an allometric equation that has been developed, then the distribution of carbon was made using the spatial vegetation index model obtained from Sentinel 2 imagery. The results showed an area of 30,526.49 (42.97%), which had high carbon stock with an average carbon stock of 106.09 ton/ha, which needed to be maintained as an area of high conservation value in the mining area of PT. Vale Indonesia.

Bone Watershed is one of the major watersheds in Gorontalo Province. Bone watershed has a very important role for the people of Gorontalo Province. The role of Bone Watershed is mainly related to the providing clean water, producing oxygen, controlling flood, providing habitat for endemic flora fauna and other environmental functions. The role of Bone Watershed for the community's economic sector is also very important, the Bone watershed provides livelihood for surrounding communities includes fertile land resources for agriculture and plantations, forest products, and livestock feed. This research is important considering the Bone watershed has limited availability of land for agriculture and the high risk of natural disasters such as floods and landslides. Geospatial data includes topography map, landform map, soil map, integrated with field survey results and soil properties were analized to determine conservation management of agriculture land in the Bone Watershed, Gorontalo Province, Indonesia. The result of this study shows that based on soil properties and physical land characteristics, land use for agriculture should consider appropriate conservation techniques, land capability and respect to local wisdom. © 2018 The Authors, published by EDP sciences.

We explored THz emission from $\mathrm{Si}^{2} / \mathrm{SiO}_{2} / / \mathrm{Ta} / \mathrm{Fe} / \mathrm{Ru} /$ $\mathrm{Ni} / \mathrm{Al}_{2} \mathrm{O}_{3}$ spintronic emitters. We tuned magnetization alignment of Fe and Ni layers by varying the interlayer exchange coupling (IEC) strength using a range of Ru layer thickness t. Depending on IEC strength, magnetization hysteresis shows either ferromagnetic $(t=1.1 \mathrm{~nm}, 1.5 \mathrm{~nm})$, antiferromagnetic $(t=1.3 \mathrm{~nm})$ or canted $(t=1.7 \mathrm{~nm}, 1.9 \mathrm{~nm})$ relative alignment. Competition between IEC and an external magnetic field results in a dramatic difference in THz emission from the ferromagnetically (FM) and anti-ferromagnetically (AFM) coupled structures. The resulting THz emission from IEC structures is a result of an interference of THz transiens generated by the individual $\mathrm{Fe} / \mathrm{Ru}$ and $\mathrm{Ru} / \mathrm{Ni}$ emitters.

An Analysis of Coal Post-Mining Land for Agricultivation Uses (A Case study on PT ABK in Kutai Kartanegara District, East Kalimantan Province)

The characteristics of coal surface mining activity are vulnerable to environmental degradation due to soil excavation, although only causing a lower risk in worker's incidence and economically beneficial as requiring a lower cost than the underground mining method. This study aimed to analyze the types of post-mining land use worth developing for the local community's livelihood around the post-mining land on the concession of PT Anugerah Bara Kaltim (ABK) in Kutai Kertanegara District, Kalimantan Timur Province. The method used was a cost-benefit analysis (CBA). The analysis results indicate that the pepper plant cultivation on the post-mining land within six years produces Net Present Value (NPV) at Rp 49,484,637.00, Benefit/Cost (B/C) Ratio at 1.347, Net B/C Ratio at 2.56, and Internal Rate Return (IRR) at 39.20%. Meanwhile, rice plant cultivation stimulated within six years produces NPV at Rp 8,653,754.00, B/C Ratio at 1.035, Net B/C ratio at 1.3871, IRR at 8,50%. The economic analysis results based on all indicators: NPV, B/C, net B/C, and IRR, demonstrate that the pepper and rice plant cultivation activities are feasible in the coal post-mining land.
