Public health on social media: Using Instagram posts for investigating dengue hemorrhagic fever in Indonesia

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), an acute capillary leak syndrome caused by dengue virus, is one of the major public health problems in Indonesia. Several major DHF outbreaks have occurred, and the incidence rate has increased from year to year. The increasing use of social media for health-related activities and the geolocation social media data can be leveraged to enhance the current surveillance system for controlling communicable diseases, including DHF. This study explores Instagram, one of the most popular social media in Indonesia, to analyze posts about DHF toward improving the surveillance system. We extract Instagram posts in 2017 - 2018 with geolocation and date-time value, that contained one or more DHF keywords in Indonesian language (i.e., demam berdarah dengue, demam berdarah, dengue, Aides aegypti, and fogging), resulting in 665 posts in dataset 2017 and 976 in dataset 2018. The preprocessing of the dataset includes tokenization, word normalization, stop word removal, stemming, and building the term-document matrix. The training dataset is labeled into news, education and information, and other classes, and the K- nearest neighbors (KNN) is applied to classify the DHF posts. The accuracy of the KNN classifier is 71% for the 2017 dataset and 77% for the 2018 dataset. For the deployment, we perform spatial analysis and compare the results with the actual DHF cases from the Ministry of Health of Indonesia. The spatial analysis results report that 17 provinces reveal similar changes between the number of DHF posts on Instagram and the number of actual cases from 2017 to 2018, while 17 other provinces reveal the opposing changes. The results and findings of this study show that Instagram posts may contribute to enhance the current surveillance system. For example, the frequency of Instagram posts and its sharp increase may indicate unusual events about the DHF situation in a specific province.

The adoption of e-wallet service is on the rise among Indonesian customers. People use e-wallet because it is convenient, more secured, and offers advantages over physical cash. In line with the growth of e-wallet adoption, the number of e-wallet services in Indonesia has increased to more than 50 providers in 2020. This situation leads to a competitive market in e-wallet service. This study examines key factors affecting customer satisfaction and continuance intention to use e-wallet services and applications based on the integration of Diffusion of Innovations (DOI) theory, Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Expectation-Confirmation Theory (ECT). The data collected from 663 participants were analyzed based on structural equation modeling partial least square. The results show that confirmation, perceived ease of use, compatibility, and trialability have positive impacts on customer satisfaction, and perceived usefulness, satisfaction, and habit contribute to continuance intention on e-wallet. In addition, customers prioritize security over ease of use when using e-wallet and consider it part of e-wallet usefulness. Based on findings, this study recommends strategies to maintain customer’s satisfaction and to increase continuance intention, such as security prioritization on e-wallet, a customized promotion for each customer, application update based on customer’s feedbacks, and market expansion to include small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The Black Hole Explorer (BHEX) is a next-generation space very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) mission concept that will extend the ground-based millimeter/submillimeter arrays into space. The mission, closely aligned with the science priorities of the Japanese VLBI community, involves an active engagement of this community in the development of the mission, resulting in the formation of the Black Hole Explorer Japan Consortium. Here we present the current Japanese vision for the mission, ranging from scientific objectives to instrumentation. The Consortium anticipates a wide range of scientific investigations, from diverse black hole physics and astrophysics studied through the primary VLBI mode, to the molecular universe explored via a potential single-dish observation mode in the previously unexplored 50-70 GHz band that would make BHEX the highest-sensitivity explorer ever of molecular oxygen. A potential major contribution for the onboard instrument involves supplying essential elements for its high-sensitivity dual-band receiving system, which includes a broadband 300 GHz SIS mixer and a space-certified multi-stage 4.5K cryocooler akin to those used in the Hitomi and XRISM satellites by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. Additionally, the Consortium explores enhancing and supporting BHEX operations through the use of millimeter/submillimeter facilities developed by the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, coupled with a network of laser communication stations operated by the National Institute of Information and Communication Technology. With the emergence of the Web of Things (WoT) as Internet of Things (IoT) enhancement in web application, the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has developed very rapidly. Its technology has been commonly used in various fields of life, especially in agriculture. One of the crop plants is often achieved by vegetable farming, as vegetables are the staples of daily life. Aim this study is for plating mustard green seeds and watering plant using WoT. This method begins by doing literature review, requirement analysis, design and implementation. The result shows the developing of prototype to planting mustard seeds and watering plant is successful that it can be remotely operated through WoT. The planting and watering process uses Gcode command to carry out seed picks, planting seeds, and water plants.

Stroke is a neurological disease and is a significant cause of disability throughout the world. Patients with stroke or post-stroke usually still experience interference in walking in the form of a drop foot caused by atrophy of the anterior tibialis muscle, so they cannot perform dorsiflexion. Drop foot disorders can be treated by rehabilitation using Posterior Leaf Spring Ankle-Foot Orthosis (PLS AFO). PLS AFO has the advantage of a higher level of flexibility compared to other AFO types. The primary purpose of this research is to observe the level of resilience based on the influence of AFO thickness. This study uses the finite element analysis of three model variations in the initial contact, midstance, terminal stance, and calf loading phases. The material used in this study was carbon fiber. The simulation will result in the distribution of stress, strain, and deformation values in each AFO model. The simulation results show that AFO resistance is affected by variations in AFO thickness where the increase in strength is proportional to the increase in AFO thickness. The AFO with a thickness of 10 mm is the most suitable for the tibialis anterior atrophy case.

Nutmeg oil has an important function as natural tropical biomedicine activity which commonly found in Batang region. This essential oil is one of the dominant traditional export product from Batang instead of patchouli oil, Clove oil, and lemongrass oil. The objective of the research was to analyze chemical compound of essential oil of nutmeg leaves from Batang region produced by traditional destillation. Research methods was conducted by GCMS method. The biomedical activity against some tropical diseases was analysed in-silico. The results showed that essential oil from nutmeg leaves showed potential antimicroabial activities in silico againts several tropical diseases in skin. The GCMS result showed 2-.BETA.-PINENE and .gamma.-Terpinene as the major compound with values 34,46% and 30,28%.

Hemodialysis treatment is a replacement therapy renal function. Hemodialysis therapy with reuse system causes a risk of bacterial infection. In addition, routine vascular access by hemodialysis patients also factors of bacterial contamination which can increase the comorbidity and mortality rates of patients. This research aims to obtain biocompatibility and antibacterial properties by adding concentration chitosan in three variations. The functional group test showed the presence of a bond between PU-CA-PES-CS at a certain wavelength. SEM test proved that the pores produced on dialyzer membrane are still within the size range for the hemodialysis application at 0.001-0.1 μm. Hemolysis test results showed that the percentage of hemolysis in Sample A, Sample B, Sample C, and Sample D were 4.18%, 3.34%, 2.30% and 1.67% respectively. The percentage of hemolysis at less 5% is safe for contact with blood. Antibacterial test results revealed that PES-PU-CA membrane samples coated with chitosan variation are antibacterial. It can be seen from the formation of clear zone around the sample disc with diameter of 6,946-11,086 mm. PES-PU-CA dialyzer membrane coated with chitosan is a safe composite and potentially applicable as an antibacterial dialyzer membrane based on functional group test, antibacterial test, hemolysis assay, SEM, and cytotoxicity test. © 2018 University of Dicle.

Coral triangle eco-region is hotspot of coastal blue carbon, and contributes to the global carbon cycling. This study aimed to elucidate the blue carbon dynamics in mangroves and their importance services as source of blue carbon in the coastal zone of coral triangle ecoregion. The blue carbon content in mangrove sediment was analyzed, while blue carbon production and its export frommangroves leaf litterfallwasestimated. The results showed that the blue carbon content in mangrove sediment was significantly higher in deep of 40-50 cm than other layers(P< 0.05). The annual blue carbon production (g C/m2/year) was 495.80 for R. mucronata, 572.52 for C. tagal and 335.56 for R. apiculata. Moreover, the annual blue carbon exported g C/m2/year was 148.74 for R. mucronata, 171.76 for C. tagal and 100.68 R. apiculata. Overallcarbon production and carbon export from these mangrove species were 1403.88 and 421.18g C/m2/year, ***, huge blue carbon production and export by mangroves in this region contribute to the global carbon cycling in the coastal and marine environments. Thus, conservation of mangroves and their services is very important for maintenance the coastal productivity in the coral triangle eco-region.

Load Balancing is very well applied to the distribution of internet access at any point of the Wi-Fi area so that the use of limited devices can be optimal and on target. The proper use of the Greedy Algorithms when applied to an access point device is very capable in resolving excessive loading in a single resource to take the best choice at every stage in an optimum process. Access point device is also a success factor in running the optimization of the distribution of Wi-Fi access on the Access Point is strongly influenced by the parameters set. In this research, user access factor in one very high Wi-Fi area also influences the possibility of incoming access failure. For the application of the results of this study can be utilized on all access point devices that have limits, but for speed internet access remains at the capacity provided bandwidth. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper studies reduced-order modeling of dynamic networks with strongly connected topology. Given a graph clustering of an original complex network, we construct a quotient graph with less number of vertices, where the edge weights are parameters to be determined. The model of the reduced network is thereby obtained with parameterized system matrices, and then an edge weighting procedure is devised, aiming to select an optimal set of edge weights that minimizes the approximation error between the original and the reduced-order network models in terms of H2-norm.
