Some disabilities caused by sensory malfunction, accident, or congenital disorder could cause people difficulty in grasping the computer mouse. A well-known substitute uses an inertial sensor to monitor the body's orientation. This paper evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of different methods of holding the sensor. There are two modes of holding the sensor, the grasping mode and the attached mode;we also evaluate a mouse as a baseline. The attached mode works by placing the sensor on the back of user's hand. The quantitative and qualitative evaluation procedure is based on ISO/TS 9241 part 411: Ergonomics of human-system interaction standard. The test consists of four levels of difficulty and indicates that the throughput and task completion times were not statistically different between grasping and attached mode. We also found that grasping mode and attached mode did not show significantly statistical differences in comfort and fatigue based on the questionnaires. The results also suggest that the orientation of the hand used in grasping and attached modes is suitable only for lower-impact computer use. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Based on the results of the questionnaire distributed to Primary Teacher Education Students, 96% of students said that Physics is difficult to understand because the material is very complex, many formulas, especially the learning process is done online. This study aims to describe the influence of providing feedback on the motivation of Primary Teacher Education Students in primary school physics courses. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Meanwhile, the instrument used was a questionnaire which was distributed to 115 elementary school education students. The result of the research shows that giving feedback consistently is able to motivate students. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaires distributed, each indicator is of very good value.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a pervasive developmental disorder that will affect children in terms of interpersonal communication, social interaction, and imaginative levels in play. Many therapies to help the motor neuron performance is one of them Pretend Play. Pretend Play is a therapy that invites children in playing to demonstrate something else and tell how to use objects that are considered in the child's imagination. However, in the era of highly developed technology, many fields have used the Augmented Reality method as a visualization of various aspects. With this method researchers will present the therapeutic visualization of the block to 3D transportation tool that is useful for strengthening motor nerves and visual strength of the child. The system can run well during marker detection, marker movement, and 3D object display with the accuracy of precision angle and distance between virtual world with real world reach 100% with angle 0 at distance 31 cm and the maximum distance from the marker is 46 cm and the maximum angle is 30. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

As the intensity of global environmental challenges increases, so does the need to understand and strengthen the resilience of interconnected systems. This research underscores the crucial role of adaptive governance in navigating the complexities of the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem nexus, particularly under the pressures of changing climatic conditions. The study conducts an in-depth analysis of adaptive capacities by identifying critical components such as assets, flexibility, organization, learning, and agency as fundamental elements of adaptive governance in sanitation practices. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using binary probit and logit models to examine how these attributes influence community engagement in sanitation. Cryptography is the science and art of maintaining the security of messages when messages are sent from one place to another. One of the ways securing the form of text message information is by the encryption process using the Vigenere Cipher algorithm and utilizing the One Time Pad (OTP) algorithm as a key generator, where the message will be random when it is opened. The message encryption process used the vigenere cipher algorithm while OTP is used to secure the key with the same formula. After this research has been done, an application was designed to secure text messages by converting the text message into a random message so that the message was unreadable due to a secret message that could not be known by others. The results achieved can secure an encrypted message that cannot be reopened and if those messages were reopened, they must be decrypted. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

LED and binaural beats sleeping mask as sleep-wake cycle regulations based on brain wave stimulation

Depression rate has reached 17-27% in Indonesia, while about 5-10% of world population have sleep disorder. Unsurprisingly, one of the symptoms of depression is sleep disorder. Sleeping disorder could be treated by sleeping mask. The material of sleeping Mask is PLA (polylactic acid) in 3D printing. There is Arduino Uno as microcontroller to control alarm for sleep-wake cycle. Device works until the first 30 minutes for blue LED and delta binaural beats and the last 30 minutes for yellow LED and gamma binaural beats.. Blue LED and delta wave of binaural beats can stimulate the delta brainwave which related with deep sleep. While yellow LED and gamma binaural beats could stimulate the gamma brain waves and trigger awakening. This research employs causal quantitative method with experimental primary data collection. Additionally, there are two tests in this research, namely sleep and awakening test. A delta wave stimulation is shown in lead C3-C4 during the sleep test. Stimulated delta wave records 23.42 times higher rate than without stimulation. Thus, the system can actually trigger a deep sleep faster. During the awakening test, the stimulation using gamma binaural beats and yellow light shows that delta brainwave amplitude in lead C3-C4 is lower;while alpha brainwave amplitude in lead O1-O2 is higher. Thus, this system is able to stimulate alpha wave faster than without stimulation. The mask could regulate sleep-wake cycle for alarm device and enhance sleep quality. © 2018 University of Dicle.

Background Reliable cognitive impairment screening tools that are easy to administer and minimally time consuming are greatly needed. Given the high sensitivity of neuropsychological (NP) exams in detection of cognitive decline, we seek to develop an automated screening tool to detect dementia and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) based on digital voice recordings of NP assessments. This could enable wide-spread screening for dementia and accelerate preventative efforts. Method We used natural language processing methods to create a screening tool that identifies different stages of dementia based on automated transcription of digital voice recordings. The transcribed sentences were classified into 8 main sub-tests including memory assessment, naming and language skill, verbal fluency, general questions, etc. Using the idea of transfer learning, we encoded the participants' sentences into quantitative data. This data and the participants’ demographic variables such as age, sex, Apoe gene, and education were employed to train and test three binary classification tasks, (I) Normal cognition versus Dementia, (II) Normal/MCI versus Dementia, and (III) Normal versus MCI. Result We evaluated the performance of the classification tasks using the digital voice recordings of NP assessments, collected from the Framingham Heart study, containing 410 cognitively intact subjects, 387 MCI, and 287 subjects with dementia. The average Area Under the Curve (AUC) on the held-out test data reached 92.6%, 88.0%, and 74.4% for differentiating Normal from Dementia, Normal or MCI from Dementia, and Normal from MCI, respectively. Looking at the importance of the sub-tests in differentiating MCI from Normal, we note that general questions can be more useful for assessment of MCI, whereas verbal fluency would not be as useful in this task. Significant population and economic growth, caused increasing of energy demand. Depletion of fossil fuel moreover coupled by climate change issue that caused by increasing carbon emission, become necessity to continuously encourage achieving renewable energy mix in energy primer. Large potentials of hydro renewable energy source and small utilization of it, micro-hydro and pico-hydro power plant are suitable to develop especially in country side. The research gap in the current turbine application chart is a challenge for Gravitational Water Vortex Power Plant (GWVPP) strong existence in pico-hydro power, besides conventional turbine design has been developed into it. However, development in vortex flow and basin geometry design has a robust design for the past 10 years of research. Researches have been conducted in few countries that proofed GWVPP has less capital investment and low operational and maintenance cost, however the parameter of the GWVPP still need further development since the power output efficiency still low. Since basin opening and outlet diameter are the main parameters to define basin geometry, inlet channel need to do further research. The research will improve the recent gaps; therefore, vortex turbine could be developed accordingly that would result immediate improvements for renewable energy growth in Indonesia through GWVPP.

Catalytic cracking of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic waste and palm fibre mixtures using Ni-USY zeolite catalyst

This research was carried out to produce fuel (Oil Liquid Poduct/OLP) from catalytic cracking of a mixture of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and fiber waste from palm oil. USY zeolite was previously ion-exchanged by three levels of Ni-metal concentration (1%, 2%, 3%) before used as catalyst in the cacking process. The catalytic cracking was carried out at rasio of sample to catalyst was 6:1, three levels of temperature (400°C, 425°C and 450°C) and three levels of reaction time (10, 20 and 30 minutes).The SEM images and EDX spectra of Ni-USY zeolite catalysts showed that all catalysts were in crystalline form of FAU framework. The highest of OLP percentage, 24.5%, was produced by catalytic cracking at 450°C for 10 minutes using Ni-USY prepared by ion-exchange using 2% concentration of Nickel Nitrate solution.

Medical image analysis places a significant focus on breast cancer, which poses a significant threat to women's health and contributes to many fatalities. An early and precise diagnosis of breast cancer through digital mammograms can significantly improve the accuracy of disease detection. Computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems must analyze the medical imagery and perform detection, segmentation, and classification processes to assist radiologists with accurately detecting breast lesions. However, early-stage mammography cancer detection is certainly difficult. The deep convolutional neural network has demonstrated exceptional results and is considered a highly effective tool in the field. This study proposes a computational framework for diagnosing breast cancer using a ResNet-50 convolutional neural network to classify mammogram images. To train and classify the INbreast dataset into benign or malignant categories, the framework utilizes transfer learning from the pretrained ResNet-50 CNN on ImageNet. The results revealed that the proposed framework achieved an outstanding classification accuracy of 93%, surpassing other models trained on the same dataset. This novel approach facilitates early diagnosis and classification of malignant and benign breast cancer, potentially saving lives and resources. These outcomes highlight that deep convolutional neural network algorithms can be trained to achieve highly accurate results in various mammograms, along with the capacity to enhance medical tools by reducing the error rate in screening mammograms.
