The complete mitochondrial genome ofSilurus soldatovifirstly collected from a native Korean river was determined by the bioinformatics assembly of the next-generation sequencing (NGS) reads. The circular mitogenome was 16,525 bp in length which harbored canonical 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNAs, and 2 rRNAs, which was identical to those of family Siluridae. Twenty-eight genes were located on H strand, whereas the remaining nine genes were on L strand. Except for COX1 gene (GTG), other 12 protein-coding genes were predicted typical start codons (ATG). Among the currently known mitogenome sequences, S. soldatovishowed highest identity (99.38%) to the Chinese haplotype ofS. soldatovi(NC022723) followed by the Chinese haplotype ofSilurus asotus(JX087351). Interestingly, intraspecies variations ofS. asotusare higher than those of interspecies and further study should be made to elucidate the evolutional relationship between twoSilurusspecies.

Light intensity design as a fishing tool on liftnet, with pulse width modulation system based on microcontroller

Fishing can be done in various ways, including by utilizing lights as fishing tools. The lights used for fishing tools are varied, ranging from torch lights, pressure paraffin lamp, fluorescent lamps (TL, PL, SL, CFL), mercury, and various types of led. However, light transition between one colors to another often scares the fish, driving them out of catchable area shocked by the color change. One solution to address this problem is by smoothly switching the color of the lamp using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) system on the microcontroller. The color used are the lamp with basic colors of red, green and blue. With power capacity of 50Watt/12Volt, this lamp is classified as High Power Led (HPL) lamp. The light can be free- adjusted, where each lamp can be turned on by its own light or can also be turned on in combination. It can slowly be switch on from an off position to maximum and also can be dimmed from maximum to off. Thus the intensity of the light can be controlled. The HPL and control sections were created separately. Tools and materials used are consist of push-button, microcontroller, optocoupler, mosfet and Red, Green and Blue HPL, Radio-meter (ILT5000 Research Radiometer), Voltmeter, and Amperemeter. The method used was experimental in both laboratory and field. The result of research is in the form of RGB HPL lamp which can be adjusted through control system, such as adjusment for each lamp, or light combination with smooth color transition. Thus, when this technology is applied as fishing tool in liftnet fishing, the targeted fish would still remain on catchable area.

Performance analysis of ocean water power plant as a renewable power plant for leading regions, outermost areas, underdeveloped region

This research for performance analysis of ocean water power plant to get design optimization based on research scenarios. The method used is experiment, by conducting a prototype analysis of the initial calculations to be included in the modeling simulation. through research scenarios to get the most optimal prototype performance. The results showed that (1) the greater the pontoon volume used, the greater the pontoon force produced, the pontoon force was not affected by the size of the pump diameter. (2) the larger the diameter of the pump used, the greater the discharge of water produced, the water discharge is not affected by the small volume of the pontoon, (3) the magnitude of the lift system to seawater is not affected by the size of the pump diameter but the size of the pontoon volume, the greater the pontoon volume used, the greater the lift power, (4) the greater the pontoon volume used, the turbine power The result will be even greater with the diameter of the pump, the larger the diameter of the pump used, the greater the turbine power produced. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the optimal size uses 6 pontoons and 12-inch pump diameters. The implications of this research are that in addition to increasing the value of electrification in Leading Regions, Outermost Areas, Underdeveloped Region, it can also improve the economy of the community while helping the government to succeed the National Medium Term Development Plan

Parameter processes and their impact on Tinospora cordifolia stem extracts for antibacterial and antioxidant materials

This work extracted the Tinospora cordifolia stem for antibacterial and antioxidant materials. The stems of T. cordifolia were extracted by using a simple maceration method. The effect of three independent variables (solvent ratios, temperature, and extraction time) was investigated to obtain optimal conditions. Ten grams of T. cordifolia were extracted using a mixture of methanol–water ratios 00:100, 15:85, 30:70, and 45:55 (% v/v) at 50–95 °C for 0.5 to 3 h. The total phenolic and flavonoid content in the T. cordifolia extracts was analyzed by Folin-Ciocalteu and Colorimetric-AlCl 3 methods. The antibacterial activities against Pseudomonas aeruginosa were assessed by serial dilution methods, and antioxidant properties were performed by DPPH methods. The optimum condition was achieved at methanol–water ratios of 00:100 % (v/v) at 95 °C for 2 h. The yield extraction for this condition is around 13.97%. The total phenolic and flavonoid contents for these conditions are about 6.85% and 7.07%, respectively. The minimum inhibitory concentration value against P. aeruginosa is 1024 µg/mL, and the minimum bacterial concentration is above 2048 µg/mL. Meanwhile, the antioxidant obtained is 217.55 µg/mL at a ratio of 00:100 methanol–water. The extraction process parameters significantly influenced the phytochemical (TPC and TFC), antibacterial activity, and antioxidant properties of T. cordifolia stem extracts. This work clearly shows the antibacterial potential of T. cordifolia stem extracts, suggesting that more investigation is required to isolate the bioactive compounds in this extract.

Anisotropic electrostatic and elastic interactions of charged colloidal spheres

Charged systems where ions, DNA, proteins and/or charged colloidal particles are dispersed in an isotropic uid, are found in a range of prominent materials and biological systems. However, generally the role of the host material dielectric anisotropy in charged colloidal materials is ignored, despite frequent relevance in defining colloidal self-Assembly, biological function and outof-equilibrium behaviour. In this work, we formulate and experimentally demonstrate anisotropic electrostatic interactions in a system of charged colloidal particles in a nematic electrolyte. Experimentally, charged dumpling-shaped near-spherical colloidal particles are used as a model system of charged colloidal particles in a nematic medium, demonstrating anisotropic elastic and electrostatic effective pair interactions for colloidal surface charges tunable from neutral to high. Theoretically, we derive asymptotic expressions for (i) the anisotropic electrostatic potential on the single-particle level and (ii) the effective pair interaction in the system, under the assumption of spherical charged particles in a uniform nematic director field. The analytical expressions for the pair interactions are compared with experiments, demonstrating good qualitative agreement within an experimentally accessible parameter range. More generally, our work extends the traditional Derjaguin-Landau-Verwey-Overbeek (DLVO) theory for charge-stabilised colloidal suspensions in isotropic solvents, to dielectric anisotropic host media with orientational elasticity. Herein, we report, for the first time, the reduction reaction kinetics of ciprofloxacin organic molecules based on structural and micromorphological conditions of an electrocatalytic system of Bi05Na05Ba(TiO3)2 (BNT-BT) thin films. XRD analysis showed the coexistence of rhombohedral and tetragonal structures for the BNT-BT thin films annealed at 600, 650, and 700°C, showing that the first one had a greater number of surface defects, which was confirmed by Raman Spectroscopy. Analysis of the 3D micromorphological evaluation showed that an annealing temperature increase from 600 to 700 °C does not induce significant changes in the topographical profile. However, BNT-BT thin films annealed at 600 °C displayed more anisotropic surface microtexture, high spatial complexity, and low spatial frequencies. For the reactive surface of BNT-BT films, the electroanalytical assays showed that electrons from the conduction band are captured by oxygen adsorbed on the film surface, forming superoxide radicals that attack ciprofloxacin molecules, promoting their degradation. The best performance observed for the BNT-BT thin films annealed at 600 ºC is attributed to their unique structural and micromorphological properties compared to the films annealed with higher temperatures. Our results prove that the proposed thin film deposition process is a promising approach for developing new electrocatalytic devices. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Students' Competences in Practicums of Various Competencies in Machining engineering

This study aimed at investigating productive practicums of various competencies and the competences of Machining engineering department students of Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul Vocational High School. It is a descriptive study which employed both quantitative and qualitative research designs. The practicums of various competencies consisted of seven stages led by two teachers. Those stages are opening, presenting the introductory theory, demonstrating, conducting productive practicums of various competencies, evaluating, giving feedback, and closing. Based on the data analysis, the percentage of students' response is 70%, and it is categorized as good. The average score of the students' competences is 81.67, and it is also categorized as good. Finally, the percentage of students' activity aspect is 90%, and it is also categorized as very good.

In the context of achieving Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in hospitals, among others, it is carried out with control and supervision, including in the case of hospital facility maintenance installations. Besides that, the hospital needs to improve its services. The asset reporting system is one of the high needs in this field, so it requires a solution that can deal with existing problems. Unfortunately, the current reporting system so far is more likely to be conventional, such as by telephone. This study proposes a new solution to the hospital facility maintenance reporting process, namely by utilising smartphone-based applications that directly connected to the server. So, the information distributed to the competent parties. This solution can speed up the reporting process and actions. Also, save the historical equipment that is available from each service room — the results of this study used as a hospital facility maintenance reporting system.

The mechanism of THz generation in ferromagnet/metal (F/M) bilayers has been typically ascribed to the inverse spin Hall effect (ISHE). Here, we fabricated Pt/Fe/Cr/Fe/Pt multilayers containing two back-to-back spintronic THz emitters separated by a thin (tCr≤ 3nm) wedge-shaped Cr spacer. In such an arrangement, magnetization alignment of the two Fe films can be controlled by the interplay between Cr-mediated interlayer exchange coupling (IEC) and an external magnetic field. This in turn results in a strong variation of the THz amplitudeA, withA↑↓reaching up to 14 timesA↑↑(arrows indicate the relative alignment of the magnetization of the two magnetic layers). This observed functionality is ascribed to the interference of THz transients generated by two closely spaced THz emitters. Moreover, the magnetic field dependenceA(H) shows a strong asymmetry that points to an additional performance modulation of the THz emitter via IEC and multilayer design.

Investigation the effect of powder type on the capillary pumping performance and wettability

This study examined the effects of powder types on capillary pumping performance and wettability of wick samples. The raw material used are molecular sieve and copper powder with grain size of 80-100 microns and 177-200 microns respectively. Wick samples were produced by sintering with two shapes of powder grain comprised spherical and irregular shapes. Tests were carried out to determine the microstructure of the sample, capillary pumping amount and wettability. The test results showed that the grain type and grain size of powder could affect the roughness of the samples, of which, consequently, could also influence their wettability and capillary pumping amount. Proposed grain size and shape of the molecular sieve and copper powder are potential to be considered as wick alternatives for heat pipe application.
