This article presents the development of electric motor torque meter using microcontroller together with dynamometer process and application of light process to find out revolutions per minute (RPM) which torque is a variable that affects the effectiveness of electrical machine. A torque meter is, therefore, a tool that has an important role to work with mechanical part. The torque meter and RPM was tested and found that there is an error of torque measure at 13.74 percent and found that the torque has higher errors when it exceeds 2 N-m and there is an error of RPM at 5.36 percent.

Eye contact is one of the main human skills, and a prerequisite of verbal language. However, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often have an important deficit in this skill, compromising their entire cognitive and social development. This work shows the development of two Serious Games (SGs), based on the concept of Child-Robot Interaction (CRI), for the exercise and improvement of eye contact and visual attention, as well as concepts such as imitation and emotion recognition. For face detection and eye movement monitoring, an open source development framework of machine learning named MediaPipe was used. Tests with children with ASD will be conducted, and it is expected these SGs have a positive impact regarding the improvement of both eye contact and visual attention for these children. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Aiming at the task planning problem of multi-robot under linear temporal logic (LTL), this paper proposes an improved sampling planning algorithm based on Nondeterministic Büchi automaton (NBA) guidance. Firstly, this paper defines a kind of LTL task planning problem, which mainly focuses on the meaningful key nodes in the task execution of each robot, and there are many sequential dependencies of task constraints. Then, an improved sampling algorithm framework is proposed, which uses a more efficient way to build a search tree and reduces the number of nodes in the tree. Furthermore, the sampling points are guided by NBA to ensure that sampling is conducive to the advancement of time-series tasks. And considering the task feasible region of each robot, the auction algorithm is introduced to optimize the local matching relationship, which greatly improves the quality of sampling points. Finally, numerical simulation is carried out to solve the LTL task planning problem. The optimality and stability of the algorithm are obviously improved, and the time consumption of this algorithm is obviously better than that of the existing advanced algorithms. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

This paper proposes a multi-agent deep reinforcement learning (MADRL) based algorithm for charging control of multiple electric vehicles (EVs) in an electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) with dynamic operations. By taking the uncertainties of EV users’ behaviors and charging prices into consideration, a Markov game with multiple objectives is first established, where the individual objective of reducing EV charging costs and the collective objective of mitigating charging load fluctuations are both studied. Then, a multi-agent actor-double-critic (MAADC) algorithm with a unified advantage actor-critic framework is proposed, where two advantage functions are designed as the local and global critics, and the integrated actor is employed to balance the learning towards the individual and collective objectives. Enhancing the electrical performance of silicone rubber (SiR) for cable accessories is noteworthy as they are almost the weakest parts of the cable system. Two types of voltage stabilizers were grafted onto the surface of nano-zirconia (ZrO2) particles, and the grafted nanoparticles were added to the SiR. Measurements such as breakdown strength, and conductivity were carried out to evaluate the electrical performance of SiR nanocomposites. The electrical performance measurement results indicated that the breakdown strength of the nanocomposite SiR improved while the conductance current was reduced. The trap distribution showed that the improvement of the electrical performance of the nanocomposite SiR is mainly due to the decrease of the shallow trap density or the increase of the deep trap density. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents an accurate altitude estimation on a small multirotor UAV. That is crucial for the stability and performance of UAV, particularly in altitude hold control. Barometric pressure sensors are widely used to estimate altitude based on atmospheric pressure, but their readings are highly susceptible to environmental fluctuations, temperature variations, and dynamic airflow effects. To mitigate these altitude errors, this study focuses on enhanced flight control installation techniques, including the physical protection of barometric sensors inside enclosed, well-ventilated compartments to shield them from wind disturbances and rapid pressure changes. The proposed mitigation strategy is validated through ground testing and flight testing, where altitude hold performance is assessed under various environmental conditions. The results confirm that enclosing the barometric sensor within a protective, ventilated chamber significantly reduces altitude estimation errors, leading to more stable altitude hold control with reduced vertical oscillations. These findings highlight the importance of integrated sensor protection in UAV flight control system design and provide a practical framework for improving altitude estimation reliability in both consumer and industrial UAV applications.

With the gradual diversification of modern application scenes, the demand for UAV path planning is becoming more and more abundant. This paper first introduces a possible battle scenario, and the problems that must be considered in path planning in this scene are analyzed: the maximum rotation angle constraint and the demand that the UAV can cross the threat zone flexibly. Maximum rotation angle and Adaptive crossing threat zone RRT∗(MA-RRT∗) algorithm is proposed to solve the above problems. The algorithm improves the reconnection process of neighbor set in RRT∗, and adds the maximum rotation angle constraint to the RRT∗ framework, so that the generated path strictly meets this constraint. In addition, the above process also reduces the time consumption of RRT∗, and the speed advantage of MA-RRT∗ becomes more and more obvious with the increase of iteration times. Then, the obstacle information is regarded as one of the components of the node cost of the path, and the original obstacle is regarded as a soft constraint. This enables the path to adaptively cross the threat zone, which is more in line with the actual situation. We compare our algorithm with RRT∗ in numerical simulation, which verifies the effectiveness and time consumption advantages of the algorithm. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

This paper proposes an improved auction algorithm to optimize the efficiency of dynamic weapon target assignment (WTA) problem. Firstly, the dynamic battlefield environment of firepower-health model is analyzed and the constraints of weapon assignment problem are established. The firepower-health model is about the idea of adding constraints of weapon firepower and target health to promote the result of assignment more effectively. Secondly, in order to improve the computing speed of WTA algorithm, the penalty mechanism is introduced in the compensation auction algorithm. The main idea of improved algorithm is to reduce the extra consuming of the weapon during the assignment, from which penalty mechanism can optimize the assignment results and reduce the number of algorithm iterations by punishing the overkilled target under certain rules. Finally, the simulation results based on the dynamic firepower-health model show that the proposed algorithm can meet the requirements of firepower allocation, and can promote the effectiveness of assignment with high real-time response. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

The robots have been used in the inspection of industrial wireless sensor networks (IWSNs), that includes data collection and wireless charging. The sensor nodes are always densely deployed and their appearances are similar, thus it is a non-trivial challenge to identify a specific node by the machine vision. To solve this problem, we propose to use the proximity estimation algorithm, which uses wireless signals to estimate neighbor nodes, to help the robot to identify a specific node in the network. The algorithm is deployed a patrol inspection testbed with a mobile robot and multiple sensor nodes, and the experiments are executed to verify its performance. The experimental results show that the proximity estimation algorithm is a reasonable solution to identify similar nodes in the inspection of the IWSN. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
