In frequency domain, wavelet coefficient is one of the characteristics of ERG signal which is hidden in frequency-domain. This paper aims to develop a tool for analyzing the constituent frequencies and time of interest in the dog's ERG signal using wavelet analysis. We design a lowpass filter to reduce noise during the measurement of ERG response. ERG dataset was obtained for the light intensity series and their constituent frequencies are analyzed by using the continuous wavelet transform (CWT). The results show that, in time-domain, as light intensity increases, both amplitudes of a-wave and b-wave are higher. We can visualize the noise interference in the ERG signals. Then a lowpass filter is designed to attenuate the noise effect. The filtered signals have lower a-, and b-waves' amplitude which affect the important characteristics in time domain. Therefore, we choose to filter signal from 26ms onward, the main components are recovered, and the filtered signal becomes smoother. In frequency-domain, the peak magnitude of wavelet coefficients is increased as light intensity increases. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents the design of supervisory model predictive control for HVAC systems and two zones. The supervisory control (SC) is designed to find the optimal reference temperature of each zone. The design criteria consist of the total operating cost (TOC) and the thermal comfort cost (TCC). Then, the model predictive control (MPC) is designed to track the optimal reference signals. When SC and MPC are designed for two zones simultaneously, they are referred to centralized SC and centralized MPC. On the other hand, when SC and MPC are designed for two zones separately, they referred to decentralized SC and decentralized MPC. We then compare the results between the decentralized control and the centralized control. The trade-off curve shows that the performance of centralized control is better than that of decentralized control. In particular, centralized MPC improves the performance in tracking reference signals. Furthermore, TOC of centralized control is lower than that of decentralized control. It can be concluded that the centralized control is appropriate for two zones in terms of the tracking of reference and the electrical charge.

Deep convolutional neural networks (CNN) have achieved remarkable progress in the image processing field during the past decade. However, most existing CNN-based object detection algorithms mainly delve into network-deepening, overlooking the exploration of the inherent relationship amongst the features. To address this issue, an end-to-end Mix-domain Attention Network (MAN) is proposed. First, the backbone and head of MAN adopt the structure of YOLOv5 (YOLOv5 is a family of object detection architectures and models pre-trained on the COCO dataset by Ultralytics). Then, we embed two key modules in the backbone and head: non-local blocks and stereoscopic attention group (SAG). Non-local blocks are different from CNN's local operations in that they can capture long-distance spatial contextual information (Such as the pixel-to-pixel relationship in images, and the pixel-to-pixel relationship between different frames in video streams) and combined with the residual structure, this allows the feature dimensions of the input and output to be consistent. Subsequently, the features extracted from the non-local blocks will be further passed through a trainable stereoscopic attention group to calculate the correlation of channel-to-channel, pixel-to-pixel, and update the output features. The Non-local operation is the self-attention mechanism and the SAG operation is the channel and spatial attention mechanism. Our innovation is the combination of these two operations to form a Mix-domain attention mechanism. The Non-local increases the connection between the pixel points. The SAG allows the model to focus more on the places that need attention. The combination of these two modules enhances recognition accuracy. This paper studies the consensus problem of high-order multi-agent systems (MASs) with binary-valued communications and switching topologies. To tackle the challenge of unknown states caused by binary-valued communications, this paper constructs an estimation-based consensus algorithm. First, a recursive projection identification algorithm is presented to estimate the neighbors' states dynamically. Then, based on these estimates, a consensus law is designed. By constructing and analyzing two combined Lyapunov functions about estimation error and state error, this paper establishes their relation, to overcome the difficulty resulting from the coupling of the estimation and control and less information due to switching topologies. Under the condition of jointly connected topologies, it is proven that by properly selecting the step coefficient, the estimates of states can converge to the true states with a convergence rate as the reciprocal of the recursion times. Besides, the MAS is proved to achieve weak consensus and the consensus rate is also established as the reciprocal of the recursion times. Finally, a simulation example is given to validate the algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

Given a switched system and a safe region that is a subset of the state space, a state trajectory is safe if the whole trajectory is within the safe region. The safety-critical stability problem here is to determine the safe initial domain that is the set of initial states with safe trajectories under arbitrary switching. We prove that the safe initial domain is of full dimension iff the switched system is stable. Moreover, under the assumption that the switched system is exponentially stable and the safe region is regular, we present a computational procedure to numerically characterize the safe initial domain with the help of the newly introduced concept of ‘cut-tail-points’. A numerical example is presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

The problems associated with the operation of overhead power lines and ways of improving control over their condition with the help of UAVs are considered. A structural diagram of the system of technical diagnostics of overhead lines based on UAVs was developed, for which the necessary diagnostic parameters were selected according to informative criteria. An analysis of types of UAVs was carried out in order to determine their suitability and efficiency of use for diagnosing the condition of overhead lines. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper delves into the problem of designing a buck converter, serving as the key element for testing sets, also known as load simulators. These simulators impose varying electric load onto power supplies that may be employed in harsh environments and under temperatures below 00C. This provides ground testing for such supplies over a wide range of electric loads as well as creating the proper voltage waveform on the supply terminals. For this purpose, we implement a subordinate control system containing an internal inductor current loop and main output voltage feedback of the buck converter topology. Within the present research frameworks, a methodology of the control system designing, have been outlined. The resulting voltage and current waveforms confirm the correctness of the presented methodology and applicability of the buck converter with subordinate control system as a functional component of load simulators. © 2022 IEEE.

Distributed output formation tracking control problem for heterogeneous multi-agent systems(HMASs) was studied in this *** HMASs include multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) and unmanned ground vehicles(UGVs) with nonholonomic constraints.A formation tracking protocol was proposed for the follower UAVs and UGVs to track the virtual leader's output trajectory while keeping a predefined time-varying *** this protocol,a distributed observer was first designed for each follower to estimate the states of the ***,a local formation controller based on feedback linearization was designed for UAVs,while a nonlinear controller was presented for UGVs to tackle the nonholonomic *** effectiveness of this protocol was proved by the Lyapunov stability ***,a cooperative searching experiment with two quadrotors and a wheeled vehicle was performed under the ultra wide band(UWB) positioning system,and the experiment results matched the simulation well.

Energy management system (EMS) is an important tool for energy efficiency and reliability of the power system. The optimal power dispatch of energy resources can be obtained using the nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC). It is formulated as an optimization problem subject to linear and nonlinear constraints. Although the existing system works well under the current conditions, power loss has not been considered. Power loss in transmission lines occurs due to their resistance and a high amount of power flow to loads connecting to the system. The power loss leads to decreased efficiency in the electrical system and reduces the lifespan of equipment because of the high temperature from loss. This paper aims to analyze the power loss in the Mae Hong Son (MHS) microgrid. To achieve the research objectives, we employ the EMS of MHS with NMPC and calculate power loss in transmission lines for a period of 7 days. EMS considers three objective functions, namely, total operating cost, total carbon dioxide emission, and combined economic and emission dispatch and take into account of three seasons consisting of rainy, winter, and summer.
