In frequency domain, wavelet coefficient is one of the characteristics of ERG signal which is hidden in frequency-domain. This paper aims to develop a tool for analyzing the constituent frequencies and time of interest in the dog's ERG signal using wavelet analysis. We design a lowpass filter to reduce noise during the measurement of ERG response. ERG dataset was obtained for the light intensity series and their constituent frequencies are analyzed by using the continuous wavelet transform (CWT). The results show that, in time-domain, as light intensity increases, both amplitudes of a-wave and b-wave are higher. We can visualize the noise interference in the ERG signals. Then a lowpass filter is designed to attenuate the noise effect. The filtered signals have lower a-, and b-waves' amplitude which affect the important characteristics in time domain. Therefore, we choose to filter signal from 26ms onward, the main components are recovered, and the filtered signal becomes smoother. In frequency-domain, the peak magnitude of wavelet coefficients is increased as light intensity increases.

This paper addresses distributed parameter estimation in stochastic dynamic systems with quantized measurements, constrained by quantized communication and Markovian switching directed topologies. To enable accurate recovery of the original signal from quantized communication signal, a persistent excitation-compliant linear compression encoding method is introduced. Leveraging this encoding, this paper proposes an estimation-fusion type quantized distributed identification algorithm under a stochastic approximation framework. The algorithm operates in two phases: first, it estimates neighboring estimates using quantized communication information, then it creates a fusion estimate by combining these estimates through a consensus-based distributed stochastic approximation approach. To tackle the difficulty caused by the coupling between these two estimates, two combined Lyapunov functions are constructed to analyze the convergence performance. Specifically, the mean-square convergence of the estimates is established under a conditional expectation-type cooperative excitation condition and the union topology containing a spanning tree. Besides, the convergence rate is derived to match the step size’s order under suitable step-size coefficients. Furthermore, the impact of communication uncertainties including stochastic communication noise and Markov-switching rate is analyzed on the convergence rate. A numerical example illustrates the theoretical findings and highlights the joint effect of sensors under quantized communication. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

During the coal seam drilling process, the drill string is subject to compressive deformation, compounded by unpredictable variations in formation hardness and borehole wall friction, leading to challenges in maintaining a stable feeding speed. This paper presents a novel approach by introducing uncertain parameters to describe the effects of formation hardness and borehole wall friction. Drill string axial movement model is modeled as a polyhedral system based on a lumped parameter representation. To meet industrial performance requirements, we design a robust $H_{\infty}$ controller to achieve consistent feeding speed control. Our simulation results demonstrate the controller's effectiveness in ensuring system stability despite fluctuations in formation hardness and drill string friction.

A novel algorithm for optimizing bundle adjustment in image sequence alignment

The Bundle Adjustment (BA) model is commonly optimized using a nonlinear least squares method, with the Levenberg-Marquardt (L-M) algorithm being a typical choice. However, despite the L-M algorithm’s effectiveness, its sensitivity to initial conditions often results in slower convergence when applied to poorly conditioned datasets, motivating the exploration of alternative optimization strategies. This paper introduces a novel algorithm for optimizing the BA model in the context of image sequence alignment for cryo-electron tomography, utilizing optimal control theory to directly optimize general nonlinear functions. The proposed Optimal control Algorithm (OCA) exhibits superior convergence rates and effectively mitigates the oscillatory behavior frequently observed in L-M algorithm. Extensive experiments on both synthetic and real-world datasets were conducted to evaluate the algorithm’s performance. The results demonstrate that the OCA achieves faster convergence compared to the L-M algorithm. Moreover, the incorporation of a bisection-based update procedure significantly enhances the OCA’s performance, particularly in poorly initialized datasets. These findings indicate that the OCA can substantially improve the efficiency of 3D reconstructions in cryo-electron tomography. © 2024, CC BY.

This paper studies the path planning problem of multiple automated guided vehicles (multi-AGV) in a matrix manufacturing workshop. We proposed the multi-AGV path planning problem with default time, which is a variant of the classic path planning problem. In order to ensure the timely completion of each task, the default time of the task is explicitly considered. The goal is to obtain a conflict-free path with the minimum total default time, total time, and total path length. For these three goals, this problem is NP-hard. In order to solve this problem better, we established a multi-objective optimization model of total default time, total time and total path length of multi-AGV in flexible manufacturing environment. This paper proposes a multi-AGV path planning method that integrates game theory and A∗ algorithm. This method regards each AGV as a participant in the game model, through the default time obtained from each game dynamically adjusts the probability of each AGV planning the next path, and uses game theory to help the system dynamically select the most suitable AGV to plan the next path to improve the on-time delivery rate of tasks. Finally, the simulation results show that the multi-AGV path planning method integrating game theory and A∗ algorithm further reduces the total default time, total time and total path length of all AGVs. © 2022 IEEE.

Silicone rubber (SIR) has been widely used in the insulation of cable accessories due to its excellent performance. In this paper, pure SIR and nano Al2O3/SIR composites are thermally aged for 0-80 days at 200°C. The effects of long-term thermal aging on the space charge transport are analyzed. The results show that with the increase of thermal aging time, the accumulation of heteropolar charge of pure SIR and nano Al2O3/SIR composites gradually decreases and changes to the accumulation of homopolar charge. Compared with pure SIR, the space charge accumulation of Al2O3/SIR composites decreases significantly and changes little with the increase of thermal aging time. It is believed that when doped nano Al2O3 in SIR, the increase of carrier mobility and the introduction of metal oxides reacting with fallen free radicals to form stable compounds both lead to less space charge accumulation of Al2O3/SIR composites. © 2022 IEEE.

Aiming at the distributed energy storage optimal scheduling problem considering source load uncertainty, a user side energy storage stochastic optimal scheduling strategy considering master–slave game is proposed in this paper. This method comprehensively considers the uncertainty of photovoltaic (PV) power generation and user side load, and constructs a Stackelberg game model with distribution network operators as leaders and user side as followers. By solving the internal optimal electricity price, the electric energy interaction between the user side and distribution network operator (DNO) is stimulated. While improving the operation economy of both sides of the game, promote the consumption of renewable energy at the distribution network side. At the same time, the optimal scheduling plan of user side energy storage is obtained. The example results show that the optimization method proposed in this paper can effectively adapt to PV power consumption and improve the operation economy and stability of distribution network operators and users. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In this paper, the dynamic stiffness characteristics of digital electro-hydraulic actuator are analyzed, and the influence of the introduction of digital valve on the electro-hydraulic actuator is studied. Based on the actual working conditions and requirements of digital electro-hydraulic actuator, the dynamic stiffness models of digital electro-hydraulic actuator and servo valve controlled electro-hydraulic actuator are established respectively. Two testing methods were used to complete closed-loop dynamic stiffness simulation, and the digital valve control system and the servo valve control system are compared and analyzed. By changing different system parameters, the sensitivity analysis of dynamic stiffness parameters of digital electro-hydraulic actuator is realized. Finally, the optimization of system control parameters is realized, and the optimization direction of the system parameters of the digital electro-hydraulic actuator is provided. © 2023 IEEE.

In realistic distributed optimization scenarios, individual nodes possess only partial information and communicate over bandwidth constrained channels. For this reason, the development of efficient distributed algorithms is essential. In our paper we addresses the challenge of unconstrained distributed optimization. In our scenario each node’s local function exhibits strong convexity with Lipschitz continuous gradients. The exchange of information between nodes occurs through 3-bit bandwidth-limited channels (i.e., nodes exchange messages represented by a only 3-bits). Our proposed algorithm respects the network’s bandwidth constraints by leveraging zoom-in and zoom-out operations to adjust quantizer parameters dynamically. We show that during our algorithm’s operation nodes are able to converge to the exact optimal solution. Furthermore, we show that our algorithm achieves a linear convergence rate to the optimal solution. We conclude the paper with simulations that highlight our algorithm’s unique characteristics. © 2024, CC BY.
