RANSAC is a popular and robust fitting algorithm. In the field of image processing, RANSAC can be successfully used to reject false correspondences between similar images. Due to its iterative nature, RANSAC is computationally demanding and time consuming. When the target application operates in real-time, conventional approaches based on personal computers usually fail to meet the requirements. In this paper, a hardware accelerator for RANSAC, suitable for robotic vision applications, is proposed. The proposed scheme is applied to reject false correspondences between point features across consecutive video frames. Feature detection and matching is produced by an extraction and matching module. It is assumed that successive frames are related with affine transformation. The proposed accelerator is capable of processing 128 matches and the execution of RANSAC algorithm lasts for as many clock cycles as the number of the selected random samples. The system was simulated successfully and its operation was verified using the DE2i-150 development board. Considering Cyclone IV technology, the maximum supported frequency was found to be 15MHz.

Distributed caching architectures have been proposed for bringing content close to requesters and the key problem is to design caching algorithms for reducing content delivery delay. The problem obtains an interesting new twist with the advent of advanced layered-video encoding techniques such as Scalable Video Coding (SVC). We show that the problem of finding the caching configuration of video encoding layers that minimizes average delay for a network operator is NP-Hard, and we establish a pseudopolynomial-time optimal solution using a connection with the multiple-choice knapsack problem. We also design caching algorithms for multiple operators that cooperate by pooling together their co-located caches, in an effort to aid each other, so as to avoid large delays due to downloading content from distant servers. We derive an approximate solution to this cooperative caching problem using a technique that partitions the cache capacity into amounts dedicated to own and others' caching needs. Numerical results based on real traces of SVC-encoded videos demonstrate up to 25% reduction in delay over existing (layer-agnostic) caching schemes, with increasing gains as the video popularity distribution gets steeper, and cache capacity increases.

The purpose of this research is to know how influence of mixture of pertamax with Tuak Nias (Tuonifaro) to fuel consumption at 125 cc engine To prove that Tuak Nias or Tuonifaro can be used as fuel mixture on motorcycle and examine how big influence of mix between Tuak Nias or Tuonifaro with Pertamax, conducting research by literature study method or literature study. Many authors use various supporting / input factors and supporting books related to the titles discussed. because Tuak Nias or tuonifaro contain low 4-5% ethanonic elements and contain 90% alcoholic elements so that the fuel easily burns easily in the combustion chamber and produces great power. The NEPHELE datacenter network is divided into pods/clusters of racks and relies on hybrid electro-optical top-of rack switches that access an all-optical network consisting of WDM rings. To enable dynamic and efficient sharing of the optical resources and a collision-free network operation, the NEPHELE network is designed to operate in a slotted manner with a software-defined-network (SDN) based control plane. We describe the NEPHELE resource allocation problem, consider the wavelength conflicts on the shared WDM rings, translate them into resource allocation constraints and investigate the effect of these constraints on network performance. To do so, we define the worst-case traffic pattern and perform simulations to evaluate performance for the average traffic. Finally, we propose a variation to the NEPHELE architecture that reduces the effects of these wavelength conflict constraints on performance.

Textiles, in combination with advances in materials and design, offer exciting new possibilities for human and environmental interaction, including biometric and touch-based sensing. Previous fabric-based or flexible touch sensors have generally required a large number of sensing electrodes positioned in a dense XY grid configuration and a multitude of wires. This paper investigates the design and manufacturing of a planar (two-dimensional, XY location) touch fabric sensor with only two electrodes (wires) to sense both planar touch and pressure, making it ideal for applications with limited space/complexity for wiring. The proposed knitted structure incorporates a supplementary method of sensing to detect human touch on the fabric surface, which offers advantages over previous methods of touch localization through an efficient use of wire connections and sensing materials. This structure is easily manufactured as a single component utilizing flatbed knitting techniques and electrically conductive yarns. The design requires no embedded electronics or solid components in the fabric, which allows the sensor to be flexible and resilient. This paper discusses the design, fabrication, sensing methods, and applications of the fabric sensor in robotics and human-machine interaction, smart garments, and wearables, as well as the highly transdisciplinary approach pursued in developing medical textiles and flexible embedded sensors. Most medical images, especially radiology images, naturally reside in the 3D space. The interaction with the medical images and with the image computing procedures, unfortunately, are limited to 2D due to the physical properties of the mouse, touch pad, etc. In this research, we present a 3D image interaction system and an image segmentation process based on such 3D interaction utilizing spatially free-form motions/gestures and voice commands through the Kinect sensor. The algorithm as well as the entire hardware/software system has been tested on tasks such as abdominal organ and brain tumor viewing and segmentation. Among them, we show some particular cases that are rather challenging where the segmentation leakage is very difficult to handle under the conventional 2D mouse-based interaction. Moreover, as our proposed 3D image interaction and segmentation method is dynamically driven by a audio and gesture combination, we provide a demonstration video on YouTube to better show the capability and procedure of our system.

RS232 of serial communication is the communication system in the computer and microcontroller. This communication was studied in Department of electrical engineering and Department of computer engineering and informatics Department at Politeknik Negeri Medan. Recently, an application of simulation was installed on the computer which used for teaching and learning process. The drawback of this system is not useful for communication method between learner and trainer. Therefore, this study was created method of 10 stage to which divided into 7 stages and 3 major phases. It can be namely the analysis of potential problems and data collection, trainer design, and empirical testing and revision. After that, the trainer and module were tested in order to get feedback from the learner. The result showed that 70.10% of feedback which wide reasonable from the learner of questionnaire.

The finite-difference time-domain method is herein combined with polynomial-chaos expansions for the study of axially-symmetric structures featuring material uncertainties. By exploiting the problem's periodicity, we reduce the high computational burden of fully 3D simulations, and reliably extract the necessary statistical information from a single simulation.
