A simple graph G admits an H-covering if every edge in E(G) belongs to a subgraph of G isomorphic to H. An (a, d)-H-antimagic total labeling of a graph G admitting an H-covering is a bijective function from the vertex set V(G) and the edge set E(G) of the graph G onto the set of integers {1, 2, ..., |V(G)|+|E(G)|} such that for all subgraphs H^' isomorphic to H, the sum of labels of all the edges and vertices belonging to H^' constitute the arithmetic progression with the initial term a and the common difference d. Such a labeling is called super if the smallest possible labels appear on the vertices. In this paper, we investigate the existence of super cycle-antimagic total labelings of wheel. © 2015 Elsevier B.V.

We present a system that combines intelligent online tracking with complex event recognition against streaming positions relayed from numerous vessels. Given the vital importance of maritime safety to the environment, the economy, and in national security, our system leverages the real-time acquisition of vessel activity with geographical and other static information. Thus, it can offer timely notification in emergency situations, such as intrusion into marine preservation areas, loitering, and unsafe sailing. Thanks to a mobility tracking module, evolving trajectories generated by massive positional updates can be compressed online into concise, but reliable synopses per ship, retaining only salient motion features within a sliding window. These features are exploited by a complex event recognition module that detects suspicious situations of interest to maritime authorities. We conducted a comprehensive empirical validation against a real dataset of traces collected from thousands of vessels. Our results confirm the scalability and approximation accuracy of the proposed system, and thus demonstrate its potential for effective, real-time maritime monitoring. © 2015, Copyright is with the authors.

Many computer-based devices are now connected to the internet technology. These devices are widely used to manage critical infrastructure such energy, aviation, mining, banking and transportation. The strategic value of the data and the information transmitted over the Internet infrastructure has a very high economic value. With the increasing value of the data and the information, the higher the threats and attacks on such data and information. Statistical data shows a significant increase in threats to cyber security. The Government is aware of the threats to cyber security and respond to cyber security system that can perform early detection of threats and attacks the internet. The success of a nation's cyber security system depends on the extent to which it is able to produce independently their cyber defense system. Independence is manifested in the form of the ability to process, analyze and create an action to prevent threats or attacks originating from within and outside the country. One of the systems can be developed independently is Intrusion Detection System (IDS) which is very useful for early detection of cyber threats and attacks. The advantages of an IDS is determined by its ability to detect cyber attacks with little false. This study learn how to implement a combination of various methods of machine-learning to the IDS to improve the accuracy in detecting attacks. This study is expected to produce a prototype IDS. This prototype IDS, will be equipped with a combination of machine-learning methods to improve the accuracy in detecting various attacks. The addition of machine-learning feature is expected to identify the specific characteristics of the attacks occurred in the Indonesian Internet network. Novel methods used and techniques in implementation and the national strategic value are becoming the unique value and advantages of this research.

Taking into account the high regularity and completeness of Binary Edwards Curves (BEC), BEC point operation efficient implementation in hardware becomes a need especially since such curves tend to be more resistant against side channel attacks than the classical Weierstrass Elliptic Curves. However, BECs require more GF(2k) operations for a single scalar multiplication. This constitutes a deterring factor for their wide adoption and standardization. In this paper, a design methodology, hardware architecture and implementation is proposed on the efficient implementation of BEC scalar multiplication accelerators. To achieve that, a parallelism approach is introduced on affine coordinate representation BECs supporting fast GF(2k) inversion through a GF(2k) inversion algorithm capable of realizing also GF(2k) multiplication. The resulting architecture using 4 parallel operating GF(2k) arithmetic units when implemented in FPGA technology provide better results than similar Weierstrass Curves following parallelism techniques, indicated that BECs support parallelism better than their Weierstrass equivalent.

Efficient mapping of DAGs on heterogeneous multicore platforms is a key component for modern embedded applications. An approach based on the Benders decomposition principle that uses a heuristic pre-solver and Integer Linear and Constraint Programming methods to find proven-optimal solutions is introduced. We present multiple cuts generation schemes, that improve the performance of the solution process, and extensive experimental results, that show significant speedups compared to the pure ILP-based method.

There are few challenges in the detection of gas leaks using a mobile robot such as, the search space is vast, needed of a certain level of intelligence so that the searching process of robot become optimal, and the complexity to deal with unstructured environments. Combination of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) can answer these challenges, PSO role as each robot can conduct cooperation in the searching process of robots, where robots can tell the nearest other robot best position. FLC roles to handle complexity in avoiding other robots and obstacles so that the robot can avoid obstacles smoothly. As results of the simulation showed that PSO-FLC control can detect gas leak's source better based on the output of velocity and turning control as well as better travel time search, compared with the control of mobile robots without any PSO or FLC.

European Automotive Industry is suffering from a skill gap between engineering graduates and industry practices. This paper introduces a collaborative research aiming at establishing a certified automotive engineering design curriculum which shall serve as a springboard to highly qualified engineering design jobs in the automotive industry. Based on the European AQUA sector skills alliance, this research brings together major players from industry and higher education. Integrated design education with a clear ECTS-ECVET evaluation scheme plays a key role in this curriculum, since most of the modern skill challenges in automotive are related to interdisciplinary design optimization of quality and costs.

It has become evident that for low-power design concept to be realized, modules within the system need to be optimized. Consequently, the sensor node architecture also known as sensor station is required to operate in an optimized manner to help contribute in reduction of total power consumption of the system. Photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) data obtainedin a Brazilian field study were used to investigate the errors in measurements that would have been missed if sampling time of PAR variable was increased from 5 minutes upto 30 minutes. This is required, not only to help reduce of energy consumption of the sensor station but also to help facilitate the integration of lower frequency bands of industrial scientific and medical (ISM) into the system. Results obtained indicate that daytime PAR variable should be sampled and logged every 20 minutes while longer sampling time may be used during the night-time. Daytime sampling of 30 minutes interval is not recommended.

Vehicular networks have a diverse range of applications that vary from safety, to traffic management and comfort. Vehicular communications (VC) can assist in the ecorouting of vehicles in order to reduce the overall mileage and CO2 emissions by the exchange of data among vehicle-entities. However, the trustworthiness of these data is crucial as false information can heavily affect the performance of applications. Hence, the devising of mechanisms that reassure the integrity of the exchanged data is of utmost importance. In this article we investigate how tweaked information originating from malicious nodes can affect the performance of a real time eco-routing mechanism that uses Dedicated Short Ranged Communications (DSRC), namely Erou Ve. We improve the routing decision mechanism of the original algorithm and also develop and evaluate defense mechanisms that exploit vehicular communications in order to filter out tweaked data. We prove that our proposed mechanisms can restore the performance of the Erou Ve to near its optimal operation and can be used as a basis for protecting other similar traffic management systems.
