Crop Yield Analysis and Prediction is a fast-expanding discipline that is critical for optimizing agricultural methods. A lack of trustworthy data is one of the challenges in estimating crop yields. We develop predictive models for 22 different fruits and vegetables data. The goals of this study are to create accurate and interpretable crop recommendation models. We used multiple machine learning (ML) models for multi-class crop production prediction to fulfill our research goal. We thoroughly examined the influence of climate and nutrient factors on crop yield, considering their complex interactions. To improve the dataset, augmented data techniques were applied. Configuring the parameters and fine-tuning the hyperparameters is our technique to increase the model performance. Furthermore, we employ explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) techniques and interpretability tools like Shapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) to improve the interpretability of our prediction model. Our findings reveal that the XGBoost model has the best performance model with 99.86% accuracy, followed by SVM Poly Kernel with 99.32% and Random Forest with 98.82%. Feature selection and analysis are emphasized, particularly in regional agricultural contexts. This study contributes to the creation of accurate and interpretable crop recommendation models while also addressing the issue of untrustworthy data, providing useful insights for optimizing agricultural practices. © 2023 IEEE.

Multi-robot systems can provide substantial increase in efficiency and/or flexibility in different scenarios. Applications in various settings have been studied in the literature, such as disaster management, surveillance, object transportation as well as search-and-rescue. A particular case that can highly benefit from the employment of multiple agents is the logistics in a warehouse scenario. This work proposes an multi-agent Q-learning based algorithm with curriculum learning and transfer learning to perform the path planning process. With progressively more complex stages of training as well as knowledge transfer from one stage to another, the algorithm is capable of achieve high success rates. In order to validate the proposed method, simulations were done to compare it to other combinations of the used techniques, as well as using Q-learning only. Scalability tests were also performed. The proposed method achieved up to 94% success rate after training. © 2023 IEEE.

This research-to-practice paper describes developing and analyzing state-of-the-art smart boots created by combining CAD technology and advanced 3D printing techniques to attract students in bio-engineering and related fields. The primary objective of this innovative immobilization boot is to expedite fracture recovery phases through an ergonomic design to ensure optimal patient comfort during its use. Technological solutions are crucial in aiding the rehabilitation process for fractures caused by falls, heavy lifting, or rotational trauma. However, cost and comfort-related issues persist, underscoring the need for alternative approaches. This research addresses these challenges and delves into the broader implications of fracture treatment, catalyzing future projects and investigations in bioengineering. Additionally, this study serves as an educational tool that sparks the interest of high school and engineering students, promoting multidisciplinary collaboration in innovation. By involving students in specialized courses covering 3D design, human bone anatomy, biology, and materials science, this initiative empowers them to deepen their knowledge and develop new technologies to address bone injury problems. Material analyses include evaluating the type of material depending on the fracture site, such as PLA for printing and cotton and silicone gel for the midsection between the splint and the body. This research aims to advance our understanding of the type of fracture, the methods associated with their treatment, and tissue repair processes during bone callus formation. To summarize, this multidisciplinary approach drives advancements in bio-engineering and related fields, aiming to enhance patient outcomes and inspire students to pursue further research in bio-engineering and related fields. Batik is an Indonesian world cultural heritage. Batik consists of many kinds of patterns depending on where the batik comes from, Batik-making techniques continue to develop along with technology development. Among the batik making techniques that are widely used are hand-written, stamping, and printing. Batik motifs have been widely used as research material, especially in the field of artificial intelligence. The diverse appearance of batik motifs has attracted many researchers to carry out research on making synthetic batik patterns, one of which uses a Generative Adversarial Network. This paper presents a synthetic batik pattern model based on the Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network with Gradient Penalty. This model has been proven to create new synthetic batik patterns quite well and almost identical with images provided in the dataset, with the notes if the dataset provided is large. © 2023 IEEE.

In this study, we report the process variation effect (PVE) including the work function fluctuation (WKF) on the DC/AC characteristic fluctuation of stacked gate-all-around silicon complementary field-effect transistors (CFETs). The PVE affects characteristic fluctuation significantly;in particular, for the variability of off-state current. Owing to the bottom channel of a fin-type, the P-FET suffers from the worst off-state current fluctuation (more than 200% variation) compared to the N-FET. The device variability induced by the WKF is marginal because of amorphous-type metal grains. As input features to an artificial neural network (ANN) model, low and high work function values, as well as parameters of PVE that have prevalent effects on CEFT transfer characteristics are further considered and modeled. The estimated values of R2-score prove that the ANN model properly grasps information from the dataset successfully;thus, it can be used to model emerging CFETs for circuit simulation. © 2002-2012 IEEE.

In product development design, not only functional aspects but also human factors such as emotional, psychological, and affective elements need to be considered. Kansei engineering (KE) is a methodology that integrates human factors into product design. In line with this, artificial intelligence (AI) technology continues to develop that enables integration between KE and AI. In this study, a review of the integration of KE and AI will be carried out based on methodological and application perspectives. The stages were carried out using a systematic literature review approach consisting of (1) collecting article data;(2) article selection;(3) analysis and review of articles;(4) data documentation;and (5) conclusion. The year of publication for the articles reviewed is between 2018 and 2024. In the initial data search, 38 articles were obtained, which were then selected only for articles in journal format. Research findings show that AI can be part of KE in improving emotional relationships by extracting the hidden preferences of users deeper, carrying out automatic design creation, and personalizing application products like robots to better appeal to users’ emotions. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Agriculture is one of the sources of income a region can rely on to support its economy. Traditional agriculture relies primarily on human performance and observation, resulting in greater production costs and, subsequently, higher selling prices. Artificial intelligence-based technology can be used to reduce production costs, increase productivity, and provide consumer convenience. An indicator that is easy to interpret in measuring the quality and optimization of plant growth is the visualization of the condition of the leaves. The artificial intelligence technique that can be implemented in this regard is the object detection model. However, the challenge is the complex, multi-object, and multi-intersection condition of the leaves, which causes the model to be less optimal in conducting classification and detection tasks regarding whether the leaf condition is good or not. A YOLOv7 model will be employed in order to detect leaf quality, whether in an 'optimal' or 'not optimal' condition. To enhance the model's performance by improving accuracy through feature extraction enhancement, YOLOv7 will be integrated with the attention module, called the convolutional block attention module (CBAM). The case study in this research is detecting a mango plant which is one of the plants that can provide a high economic impact and the object observed is the mango plant leaf. Several previous studies related to the implementation of attention modules in object detection include the improved pest-YOLO for real-time pest detection by combining YOLOv3 with efficient channel attention (ECA) and a transformer encoder. The ECA module and transformer encoder were integrated into the backbone and neck block systems of YOLO [1]. The lightweight YOLO model combined with SE-CSPGhostnet by improving the backbone block which employs squeeze-and-excitation networks (SENet) and a convolution technique consisting of regular convolution and ghost convolution [2]. We report a compact modeling framework based on the Grove-Frohman (GF) model and artificial neural networks (ANNs) for emerging gate-all-around (GAA) MOSFETs. The framework consists of two ANNs;the first ANN constructed with the drain current model not only can capture the main trend of device I - V characteristics but also can predict its variation even when the amount of training data for the ANN is insufficient or outside the range of applied biases. The second one is then designed to improve the model accuracy by further minimizing the errors between the target and the model outputs. We implement the proposed framework to accurately model emerging GAA nanosheet (NS) MOSFETs and complementary FETs (CFETs) without suffering from divergent issues in circuit simulation. In addition, nonphysical behaviors, such as nonzero current at zero bias, do not occur in the modeling framework. Compared to recently reported machine-learning (ML) models, our approach can achieve a similar level of model accuracy with merely 20% amount of the training data. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Exams are an important component of any educational program, including online education. In any test, there is a possibility of cheating, so its detection and prevention is important. This study aims to conduct an in-depth study of the online exam monitoring model approach based on facial recognition used to detect cheating. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria designed, 13 selected studies were obtained. From these studies, we conducted further analysis regarding the Face Detection Method, Face Recognition Method, Initial Feature, Behavior Analysis and Evaluation Metrics used in each study so as to provide answers to research questions. the most frequently used Face detection method was Viola-Jones with a presentation of 20%, then CNN and MTCNN with a total presentation of 21%. The most widely used face recognition method in selected studies is CNN and metrics Accuracy is one of the most frequently used evaluations with a percentage of 33%. While the features that are usually used to detect cheating during online exams include facial motion and head pose which occupies the first position. The second is eye movement, then multiple faces gaze estimation and facial expression is in third place. Other features that also play a role in analyzing cheating behavior are mouth detection, facial vector, landmark location, gesture and posture. © 2022 IEEE.
