This paper presents a design to improve the robustness of visual SLAM(vSLAM). A processing step of feature-removal is added to the tracking thread of the conventional ORB-SLAM2 algorithm to improve the localization accuracy of a mobile robot in an environment with moving persons. Instance segmentation and motion tracking are intergrated to identify motion state of people in an image. ORB feature points belonging to moving persons are removed for further processing of the vSLAM pipeline. The advantage of this method is that the vSLAM can remove feature points of moving people, while retain those belonging to static people in the environment, which improves the accuracy of robot pose estimation. The improved ORB-SLAM2 algorithm has been implemented in a NVIDIA Xavier embedded system, which is integrated to a mobile robot. In practical robot navigation experiments, the average positioning error of the proposed method is within 4cm for 22.4m travel distance. Compared with conventional ORB-SLAM2, the average accuracy of our vSLAM method improves 97% in a dynamic environment with moving people. © 2023 IEEE.

Amorphous indium gallium zinc oxide (a-IGZO)-based thin film transistors (TFTs) are increasingly becoming popular because of their potential in futuristic applications, including CMOS technology. Given the demand for CMOS-compatible, ultra-scaled, reliable, and high-performing devices, we fabricate and analyze scaled-channel a-IGZO-TFTs with an optimal double-gate structure, a thin nanosheet-based channel, and an effective high- κ dielectric namely HfO2. The reliably reported double gate IGZO nanosheet TFTs (DG-IGZO-NS-TFTs) are tested under positive and negative bias stress at variant temperatures, and the resulting modulations are analyzed critically. The reported DG-IGZO-NSTFTs exhibit a negative side threshold voltage shift (Δ Vth) accompanied by an increase in Ion/Ion(0) under negative bias temperature stress (NBTS) at elevated temperatures, which indicates the presence of additional charges. An anomalous negative side shifting of the Vth is observed under positive bias temperature stress (PBTS), where diffused hydrogen atoms are identified as introducing excess n-type carriers into the channel and causing the observed Δ Vth. The spectroscopic analysis is performed to establish evidence for the assumed mechanisms, and the role of individual gates is investigated in the context of performance variance under temperature-bias stress. Moreover, the partial reversibility of the stress-induced degradation is experimentally established and methodically discussed. Overall, the reported results offer a comprehensive understanding of scaled-channel DG-NS-IGZO-TFTs, which help shape performance-enhancement strategies, control degradation mechanisms, and define appropriate application scenarios. © 2013 IEEE.

The government and industry have given the recent development of the Internet of Things in the healthcare sector significant respect. Health service providers retain data gathered from many sources and are useful for patient diagnostics and research for pivotal analysis. However, sensitive personal information about a person is contained in healthcare data, which must be protected. Individual privacy protection is a crucial concern for both people and organizations, particularly when those firms must send user data to data centers due to data mining. This article investigated two general states of increasing entropy by changing the entropy of the class set of characteristics based on artificial intelligence and the k-anonymity model in privacy in context, and also three different strategies have been investigated, i.e., the strategy of 'selecting the feature with the lowest number of distinct values,' 'selecting the feature with the lowest entropy,' and 'selecting the feature with the highest entropy.' For future tasks, we can find an optimal strategy that can help us to achieve optimal entropy in the least possible repetition. The results of our work have been compared by lightweight and MH-Internet of Things, FRUIT methods and shown that the proposed method has high efficiency in entropy criteria. © 1988-2012 IEEE.

The main focus of this research is on improving the performance of dynamic systems with actuator non-linearities and time-varying disturbances. To this end, using the concept of finite-time stability, a novel observer is presented to estimate the disturbances in systems with input non-linearities. Then, introducing an innovative sliding manifold, a robust observer-based technique is derived to guarantee the finite-time stability of the sliding surface. Hence, the closed-loop system would be stable in the presence of hard non-linearities and time-varying disturbances. The performance of the proposed approach was assessed in using a simulation study of two numerical examples. The obtained results and comparison with a conventional method confirmed the benefits of the suggested approach. © 2022 The Authors. Vehicle use and the concept of a "smart city"are developing quickly. As a result of this progression, the Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) is a popular network for inter-vehicular communication. The data gathering about the state of the road, the whereabouts of vehicles, their speeds, and the description of traffic congestion are obtained using the VANET. The public nature of information flow on the VANET creates serious security risks. Data security is typically one of the most important duties of VANET. As a result, it becomes one of the researchers' top priorities. Li et al. [1] introduced a Lightweight Privacy Preserving Authentication Protocol for VANETs. They stated that several attacks could be resisted using their secure authentication devised protocol. However, after analyzing we discovered that their authentication protocol is susceptible to roadside impersonation attack and it does not provide vehicle anonymity. In the end, we have provided a few suggestions to cope with Li et al.'s devised protocol current shortcomings. © 2023 IEEE.

Renewable energy resources emerge as a sustainable alternative to augmenting the energy supply of Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) platforms. However, the increased generation based on converter-interfaced energy decreases the system-equivalent inertia constant, which becomes more susceptible to frequency deviations. This paper proposes and evaluates the performance of the combined frequency-voltage-var control to mitigate frequency variation in a typical FPSO unit with penetration of wind power systems. The control functions are communication-free and embedded in two active front-end variable frequency drives (AFE- VFDs) set on water injection pumps. The FPSO's electrical power system model is developed in MATLAB/Simulink®. Comparative results with the AFE-VFD equipped with volt-var, freq-var, and combined freq-volt-var functions are shown to highlight the merits of the proposed solution. © 2023 IEEE.

Research has been carried out to monitor vehicle tires before they are used and can reduce damage, including overcoming vehicle fuel waste because air pressure is continuously monitored. This research aims to utilize the MPX5500DP sensor as an air pressure device, the LM35 sensor as a temperature reader, and a buzzer based on IoT to build a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The MPX5500DP and LM35 sensor inputs to the Arduino Uno microcontroller are distributed by the NodeMCU, fitted with a Wi-Fi module. The Blynk application sends and displays the data on a smartphone using the IoT-based. Based on this research, data on the percentage of errors in monitoring air pressure and tire temperature on vehicles were obtained by comparing the data to the pressure gauge and thermometer: 1-the results of the average reading of the sensor error value. MPX5500DP air pressure against pressure gauge is 5.3%. 2-the average reading of the LM35 sensor error value on the temperature thermometer is 6.8%. With this research, the air pressure and temperature in the tires can be monitored in real-Time via a smartphone using the IoT-based. © 2022 IEEE.
