This paper proposes the use of Group Method of Data Handling (GMDH) technique for modeling Magneto-Rheological (MR) dampers in the context of system identification. GMDH is a multilayer network of quadratic neurons that offers an effective solution to modeling non-linear systems. As such, we propose the use of GMDH to approximate the forward and inverse dynamic behaviors of MR dampers. We also introduce two enhanced GMDH-based solutions. Firstly, a two-tier architecture is proposed whereby an enhanced GMD model is generated by the aid of a feedback scheme. Secondly, stepwise regression is used as a feature selection method prior to GMDH modeling. The proposed enhancements to GMDH are found to offer improved prediction results in terms of reducing the root-mean-squared error by around 40%.

Our paper combines gas sensors with WSN (Wireless Sensor Networks) nodes; we provide users with optional monitoring subjects for constructing and also adapt ZigBee and Wi-Fi modules to get united with uploading real-time sensor messages. Moreover, for the reason of decreasing installation cost of sensors and setting up easily, this paper builds a cloud data-viewing platform additionally, enabling users to observe air quality through the cloud server everywhere.

Two error factors, i.e., disparity error and pixel interpolation error, are considered. I found that the method of view interpolation should change according to which error factor is dominant. When disparity information is very accurate, the method of view interpolation should be especially sensitive to pixel positions, which has rarely been noticed in previous studies.

Human learning strongly depends on the ability to structure the actions of teachers in order to identify relevant parts. We propose that this is also true for learning in robots. Therefore, we apply a method for multimodal action segmentation called Acoustic Packaging to a corpus of pairs of users teaching object names to a robot. Going beyond previous use cases, we analyze how the structure of human actions changes if the robot is learning quickly or slowly. Our results reveal differences between action structuring in the conditions such as longer utterances and more motion when the robot learns slowly. We also evaluate how the partners in the pair influence each other's action structuring. The results show a strong correlation between the participants in the pairs, even more so in the trials where the robot is learning slowly. We conclude that the action structuring based on Acoustic Packaging allows robots to differentiate how well the interaction with multiple users is going and is, thus, a vehicle for feedback generation.

We demonstrate fast universal electrical spin manipulation with inhomogeneous magnetic fields. With fast Rabi frequency up to 127 MHz, we leave the conventional regime of strong nuclear-spin influence and observe a spin-flip fidelity >96%, a distinct chevron Rabi pattern in the spectral-time domain, and a spin resonance linewidth limited by the Rabi frequency, not by the dephasing rate. In addition, we establish fast z rotations up to 54 MHz by directly controlling the spin phase. Our findings will significantly facilitate tomography and error correction with electron spins in quantum dots.

In order to operate a public transportation system, it is necessary to plan the grounded fleet lines among the various origin/destination spread all over the city to better attend population displacement during the day, which uses the bus transportation system. To improve planning operation of the public transportation system, it is proposed a linear programming model to optimize the overall performance of transit systems, by setting the optimum buses fleet for every bus line of each company constrained to an accepted delay between any two bus stop on the bus circuit but with a minimum profit for the companies. As the routes are different for time to time during the day such as rush hour. The proposed model can cope with all the kinds of patterns during the day and the propose is to optimise the whole transportation system. It is discussed also the complexity of the nature of the dynamic of the transportation system. The mathematical modelling can show us correctly a way to qualify and quantify the routes, what helps to understand the dynamic behavior of the population through time, different situations and epochs. Simulations present the viability of implantation for real time system to estimate the transportation system as it changes.

In this work, we report the state-of-the-art flexible devices based on graphene for radio-frequency transistors and large bandgap MoS 2 for low-power digital transistors for flexible nanoelectronics. Our studies on graphene transistors feature record mobility, transit frequency, and tensile strain and the first demonstration of flexible capping layers. Our studies on MoS 2 transistors yield the first comprehensive insights into the coupled electrical and mechanical properties including buckling which degrades the gate control, and the thickness dependence of electrical properties.
