Virtualization technologies are still growing bigger and faster. Despite the greatness of its advancement, the costume industry is still very accessible when it comes to real trials. Off-the-shelf stuff are inadequate details for the desired individual to assess its in-depth utility for each garment trying on for a second, including custom stuff are much harder to try out right away. To this end, 2D image-based 3D reconstruction inclusive of touchable-virtualized space is accessible easier to stuff details for mans' decision making in purchasing. We establish the overall end-to-end pipeline from reconstruction until visualization for one instance to be triable on its stuff for a moment. As an expectation, our proposed approach can bring objects into the experimental area and use them immediately without any obstacle. © 2023 IEEE.

Exploiting Approximations in Supervisory Control with Distinguishers

Distinguishers have been used in Supervisory Control Theory (SCT) of Discrete Event Systems, as a way to simplify modeling tasks. Approximations complement this approach with an alternative to also reduce synthesis effort. Despite the advantages, supervisors obtained from approximated DES plants can be suboptimal, so that the modeling structure has to be reconstructed empirically, until the proper supervisor is found. In this paper we show how to construct suitable-approximations that always lead to least restrictive controllable synthesis. A manufacturing system example is provided to illustrate the approach. © 2018

Topology can manifest itself in colloids when quantified by invariants like Euler characteristics of nonzero-genus colloidal surfaces, albeit spherical colloidal particles are most often studied, and colloidal particles with complex topology are rarely considered. On the other hand, singular defects and topological solitons often define the physical behavior of the molecular alignment director fields in liquid crystals. Interestingly, nematic liquid crystalline dispersions of colloidal particles allow for probing the interplay between topologies of surfaces and fields, but only a limited number of such cases have been explored so far. Here, we study the hybridization of topological solitons, singular defects, and topologically nontrivial colloidal particles with the genus of surfaces different from zero in a chiral nematic liquid crystal phase. Hybridization occurs when distortions separately induced by colloidal particles and LC solitons overlap, leading to energy minimization-driven redistribution of director field deformations and defects. As a result, hybrid director configurations emerge, combining topological features from both components. We uncover a host of director field configurations complying with topological theorems, which can be controlled by applying electric fields. Rotational and translational dynamics arise due to the nonreciprocal evolution of the director fields in response to alternating electric fields of different frequencies. These findings help define a platform for controlling topologically hyper-complex colloidal structures and dynamics with electrically reconfigurable singular defects and topological solitons induced by colloidal handlebodies. This study aims to implement a machine learning technique in identifying the irregularities of customer behavior on the use of prepaid electricity pulses. The methods used are Linear Discriminant Analysis and Logistic Regression. The performance of the classification system will be evaluated using the 10-fold cross-validation technique. Validation results are measured using accuracy, precision and recall values. In this research shows that the use of machine learning technique has a good performance in classification of electrical consumption behavior. Experimental results with the different amount of data testing indicate that Logistic Regression method has high accuracy, precision, and recall value when compared with Linear Discriminant Analysis that is 100%. This is due to Logistic Regression method can predict irregularities accurately because the addition of the amount of data does not affect the performance of the method. © 2017 IEEE.

We have developed the Shopping Refugees Support Robot that enables the elderly to order items through Social Networking Service (SNS) by voice conversation without relying on smartphones. This paper proposes a detection method of dementia signs using this Robot. Concretely, deterioration of cognitive function is detected by the evaluation of short-term memory utilizing order history of the Robot. We expect detection of dementia signs on a daily basis without making the elderly person conscious of having a dementia test, by information that only the person knows. We implemented a prototype and confirmed its functional validity. © 2020 IEEE.

In optoelectronics, achieving electrical reconfigurability is crucial as it enables the encoding, decoding, manipulating, and processing of information carried by light. In recent years, two-dimensional van der Waals (2-D vdW) materials have emerged as promising platforms for realizing reconfigurable optoelectronic devices. Compared to materials with bulk crystalline lattice, 2-D vdW materials offer superior electrical reconfigurability due to high surface-to-volume ratio, quantum confinement, reduced dielectric screening effect, and strong dipole resonances. Additionally, their unique band structures and associated topology and quantum geometry provide novel tuning capabilities. This review article seeks to establish a connection between the fundamental physics underlying reconfigurable optoelectronics in 2-D materials and their burgeoning applications in intelligent optoelectronics. We first survey various electrically reconfigurable properties of 2-D vdW materials and the underlying tuning mechanisms. Then we highlight the emerging applications of such devices, including dynamic intensity, phase and polarization control, and intelligent sensing. Localization and exploration of robotic systems has been a highly active research area in recent years. In order to explore unknown environments with better precision, a robotic system employing surveillance and flying cameras is proposed in this paper. Specifically, a mobile robot equipped with an onboard monocular camera performs visual simultaneous localization and mapping with extended Kalman filtering (EKF-VSLAM) and moves from indoor to outdoor environments. To correct the estimation errors of the system during the task, a least squares-based correction approach is proposed. The proposed robotic system employs surveillance cameras in indoor environment and a flying camera in outdoor environment to correct estimation error from the onboard monocular camera. The proposed correction approach, integrated with the conventional EKF-VSLAM, has been validated by experiments demonstrating better precision. © 2018 The Society of Instrument and Control Engineers - SICE.

3D point clouds consisting of a lot of informatively geometric data have been playing critical roles in many applications such as 3D segmentation, polyline annotation for lane tracking, and especially in manufacturing industry. In particular, this paper proposes to apply Reinforcement Learning (RL) to resolve an automated assembly task based on 3D point cloud data. To address this task, the proposed structure is separated into 2 stages including registration stage and assembly path planning stage. Firstly, in the registration stage, one of the objects is matched to an assembled model to determine the transformation between two 3D point clouds by using RANdom Sample Consensus (RANSAC) and Iterative Closet Point (ICP). Secondly, we employ Q-learning method to train a model to make optimal decisions in assemble path planning task. The entire optimized assembly path planning task has been successfully accomplished for typical objects. Finally, the performance of the approach developed in this paper has been validated by experiments. © 2018 IEEE.

Deep learning (DL) has significantly advanced various industries, including semiconductors, by providing sophisticated methods for analyzing emerging device data. Transfer learning (TL), a prominent DL topology, leverages knowledge from a pre-trained model to improve the performance of a specific target task. This study aims to apply TL to predict the impact of work function fluctuation (WKF) on the variability of threshold voltage (σVTH) in gate-all-around silicon nanosheet field-effect transistors (GAA Si NS FETs). We used TL to transfer knowledge from models trained on 1-channel (1ch) GAA Si NS FETs to more complex 4-channel (4ch) counterparts. The prediction accuracy is evaluated by using the mean square error(MSE), root mean square error (RMSE), and the mean absolute error(MAE) metrics. Our TL approach achieved an error rate of less than 1%, demonstrating high accuracy in predicting WKF effects on σ VTH of 4ch GAA Si NS FETs using only 500 samples. This study presents a pioneering application of TL using a one-dimensional (1D) convolutional neural network (CNN) long short-term memory (LSTM) topology in semiconductor device technology. The results effectively address the challenge of predicting σ VTH variations in advanced GAA Si NS FETs because of WKF, which eliminates the need for extensive semiconductor device simulations. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd
