This paper outlines the merging of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) with Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) and space communication systems. The usage of AI drives decision-making in critical domains of telecommunications and space explorations requires transparency and interpretability. However, traditional AI models often operate as 'black boxes,' making it difficult to understand their decision-making processes. This lack of explainability poses significant risks, including misinterpretation of signals, undetected anomalies, and erroneous decision-making, which can compromise the integrity of communication systems. Specifically, the challenges include accurately distinguishing between legitimate signals and attacks in anti-jamming scenarios, understanding the behaviour of complex models like LSTM in traffic prediction, and ensuring the reliability of telemetry data despite errors and noise. Integration of XAI techniques within O-RAN architecture and space communication protocols can ensure trust, reliability and safety in AI-enabled systems. This paper investigates the opportunities and challenges of incorporating XAI in O-RAN and space communications. Additionally, it presents the implications of XAI, the need for interpretability in autonomous spacecraft operations, anomaly detection and decision support for mission-critical tasks. By bridging the gap in AI transparency and advanced communication technology, this paper aims to present a detailed analysis of implemented AI and Machine Learning (ML) in the telecommunication domain. It also presents the challenges currently faced in the intersection of XAI and communication. Use cases of XAI in the domain of Open Radio Access Network and Space Communications in light of LIME and SHAP techniques were presented to give a hypothetical modelling for future experimentation to provide local and global interpretation and explanations for the currently employed AI/ML models in the respective domains. Cybersecurity-related solutions have become familiar since it ensures security and privacy against cyberattacks in this digital *** Uniform Resource Locators(URLs)can be embedded in email or Twitter and used to lure vulnerable internet users to implement malicious data in their *** may result in compromised security of the systems,scams,and other such *** attacks hijack huge quantities of the available data,incurring heavy financial *** the same time,Machine Learning(ML)and Deep Learning(DL)models paved the way for designing models that can detect malicious URLs accurately and classify *** this motivation,the current article develops an Artificial Fish Swarm Algorithm(AFSA)with Deep Learning Enabled Malicious URL Detection and Classification(AFSADL-MURLC)*** presented AFSADL-MURLC model intends to differentiate the malicious URLs from genuine *** attain this,AFSADL-MURLC model initially carries out data preprocessing and makes use of glove-based word embedding *** addition,the created vector model is then passed onto Gated Recurrent Unit(GRU)classification to recognize the malicious ***,AFSA is applied to the proposed model to enhance the efficiency of GRU *** proposed AFSADL-MURLC technique was experimentally validated using benchmark dataset sourced from Kaggle *** simulation results confirmed the supremacy of the proposed AFSADL-MURLC model over recent approaches under distinct measures.

The unipolar photocurrent in conventional photodiodes(PDs)based on photovoltaic effect limits the output modes and potential versatility of these devices in *** photodiodes with photocurrent switching are emerging as a promising solution for obtaining photoelectric devices with unique and attractive functions,such as optical logic ***,we design an all-solid-state chip-scale ultraviolet(UV)PD based on a hybrid GaN heterojunction with engineered bipolar polarized electric *** introducing the polarization-induced photocurrent switching effect,the photocurrent direction can be switched in response to the wavelength of incident light at 0 V *** particular,the photocurrent direction exhibits negative when the irradiation wavelength is less than 315 nm,but positive when the wavelength is longer than 315 *** device shows a responsivity of up to−6.7 mA/W at 300 nm and 5.3 mA/W at 340 nm,*** particular,three special logic gates in response to different dual UV light inputs are demonstrated via a single bipolar PD,which may be beneficial for future multifunctional UV photonic integrated devices and systems.

Matrix multiplication (MM) is pivotal in fields from deep learning to scientific computing, driving the quest for improved computational efficiency. Accelerating MM encompasses strategies like complexity reduction, parallel and distributed computing, hardware acceleration, and approximate computing techniques, namely AMM algorithms. Amidst growing concerns over the resource demands of large language models (LLMs), AMM has garnered renewed focus. However, understanding the nuances that govern AMM's effectiveness remains incomplete. This study delves into AMM by examining algorithmic strategies, operational specifics, dataset characteristics, and their application in real-world tasks. Through comprehensive testing across diverse datasets and scenarios, we analyze how these factors affect AMM's performance, uncovering that the selection of AMM approaches significantly influences the balance between efficiency and accuracy, with factors like memory access playing a pivotal role. Additionally, dataset attributes are shown to be vital for the success of AMM in applications. Our results advocate for tailored algorithmic approaches and careful strategy selection to enhance AMM's effectiveness. To aid in the practical application and ongoing research of AMM, we introduce LibAMM -a toolkit offering a wide range of AMM algorithms, benchmarks, and tools for experiment management. LibAMM aims to facilitate research and application in AMM, guiding future developments towards more adaptive and context-aware computational solutions. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. In existing remote sensing image retrieval(RSIR)datasets,the number of images among different classes varies dramatically,which leads to a severe class imbalance *** studies propose to train the model with the ranking‐based metric(e.g.,average precision[AP]),because AP is robust to class ***,current AP‐based methods overlook an important issue:only optimising samples ranking before each positive sample,which is limited by the definition of AP and is prone to local *** achieve global optimisation of AP,a novel method,namely Optimising Samples after positive ones&AP loss(OSAP‐Loss)is proposed in this ***,a novel superior ranking function is designed to make the AP loss differentiable while providing a tighter upper ***,a novel loss called Optimising Samples after Positive ones(OSP)loss is proposed to involve all positive and negative samples ranking after each positive one and to provide a more flexible optimisation strategy for each ***,a graphics processing unit memory‐free mechanism is developed to thoroughly address the non‐decomposability of AP *** experimental results on RSIR as well as conventional image retrieval datasets show the superiority and competitive performance of OSAP‐Loss compared to the state‐of‐the‐art.

This study presents a pilot study on the potential future use of aerial sound sources utilizing parametric array loudspeakers (PALs) in drones via fifth-generation (5G) networks. Integrating superdirectional loudspeakers with high-speed wireless communication is essential for projecting sound from the air to specific locations using drones. Herein, as an experimental approach, we have evaluated the performance of wireless communication, specifically local 5G, for realizing aerial sound sources. The results demonstrated the high performance of the local 5G connection intended for PALs in the air.

The fast evolution of the Internet of Things (IoT) has paved the way for innovative healthcare solutions. This paper affords the format and implementation of a wireless health monitoring device the use of IoT technology. The tool continuously tracks critical signs and signs along with coronary heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, transmitting real-time facts to healthcare providers. The proposed solution enhances affected man or woman care with the useful resource of the usage of allowing early detection of anomalies and properly timed medical intervention. The paper discusses the architecture, hardware components, software program software integration, and functionality challenges, offering insights into future trends in IoT-enabled healthcare. © 2024 IEEE.

While there has been significant progress in the application of transfer learning within reinforcement learning, most existing research primarily focuses on online reinforcement learning, with few studies addressing the optimization of offline reinforcement learning. This paper proposes a novel transferable deep reinforcement learning method designed to enhance limited offline samples in the target domain by utilizing online interactive samples from a similar source domain. The method is versatile and can be integrated with any offline reinforcement learning algorithm. To validate its effectiveness, extensive evaluations were conducted across multiple Mujoco environments and D4RL datasets. The results indicate that by employing the proposed method, the algorithm's performance can approach that of using 100% of the target domain data, even when only 10% of the data is available. © 2024 IEEE.

In the era of pervasive digital data, ensuring secure file storage has become a paramount concern. This paper explores the significance of hybrid cryptography for design of an advanced tools and techniques for secure file storage. Hybrid cryptography, combining symmetric and asymmetric encryption, offers robust protection against unauthorized access, tampering, and data loss. The article reviews recent cryptography literature, highlighting the importance of secure file storage in today's interconnected world and examining the benefits of hybrid cryptography. The analysis of articles on cryptography reveals emerging trends and challenges. Post-quantum cryptography addresses concerns about quantum threats, while blockchain-based cryptography enhances security in IoT data sharing. Homomorphic encryption enables computations on encrypted data, and cryptographic protocols that protect privacy enable safe multi-party computation. Machine learning's intersection with cryptanalysis introduces efficiency but raises ethical considerations. The paper further discusses advancements and trends in cryptography techniques, including post-quantum cryptography, homomorphic encryption, zero-knowledge proofs, post-quantum key exchange, secure multi-party computation, and post-quantum signature schemes. These developments aim to ensure long-term security against quantum attacks, enable privacy-preserving computations, and enhance the confidentiality, integrity, and authentication of digital communication and data storage. In conclusion, the paper advocates for the adoption of hybrid cryptography in secure file storage systems. Its combination of symmetric and asymmetric encryption, along with its adaptability to evolving security landscapes, positions hybrid cryptography as a formidable approach to data protection. Afra is an Eclipse-based tool for the modeling and model checking of Rebeca family models. Together with the standard enriched editor, easy to trace counter-example viewer, modular temporal property definition, exporting a model and its transition system to some other formats facilities are features of Afra. Rebeca family provides actor-based modeling languages which are designed to bridge the gap between formal methods and software engineering. Faithfulness to the system being modeled, and the usability of Rebeca family languages help in ease of modeling and analysis of the model, together with the synthesis of the system based on the model. In this paper, architectural decisions and design strategies we made in the development of Afra are presented. This makes Afra an extensible and reusable application for the modeling and analysis of Rebeca family models. Here, we show how different compilers can be developed for the family of languages which are the same in general language constructs but have some minor differences. Then we show how the model checking engine for these different languages is designed. Despite the fact that Afra has a layered object-oriented design and is developed in Java technology, we use C++ codes for developing its model checking for the performance purposes.
