Terahertz technologies present unique opportunities for high throughput communications, short-distance high-resolution radar, and spectral sensing/imaging. This spectral range presents some interesting challenges in terms of tunability of transmissive quasi-optical components for spectral filtering or polarization control. The concept of multi-layer periodic structures with sub-wavelength elements, such as frequency-selective surfaces or metasurfaces, allows to create terahertz optical components with unique properties. In this context, this paper reviews three distinctive realizations of such multilayer transmissive devices with reconfigurable properties. The controlled dynamic adaptation of transmission properties is achieved through mechanical reconfiguration based on relative translation or rotation of layers. These presented devices are illustrative of three efficient implementations based on different physical mechanisms, with application for tunable spectral filtering and dynamic polarization control. © 2024 IEEE.

IC integrated circuits are the core component of modern electronic products, and their production process is complex and precise. Therefore, popularizing human knowledge of IC integrated circuits and introducing the concept of integrated circuit scheduling can effectively promote industrial automation and reduce labor costs. Making scientific decisions is extremely important and requires further exploration. This system adopts a front-end and back-end separation development mode, with Vue used for front-end development, which is used to build user interfaces and single page applications, and send requests to the back-end to obtain data and perform operations;The backend is developed using Spring Boot, which is used to build Java application frameworks, handle requests sent by the frontend, retrieve data from the database, execute business logic, and return results to the frontend. This combination approach can more flexibly and efficiently build modern web applications. The system also uses sorting algorithms and collaborative filtering algorithms, among which the sorting algorithm can prioritize each added task based on the user's selection, based on hardware input parameters, and process the process according to the priority order. This can more efficiently complete the processing process and provide users with a platform and application reference for learning integrated circuit related knowledge and communication. © 2024 IEEE.

With the continuous increase in social demand, the scale and quantity of projects in enterprises are becoming larger and larger. This makes enterprises face the problem of dealing with a large number of complex documents in project work, as well as the problem of inefficient information sharing during personnel changes and document handover. Based on the problems faced, an enterprise knowledge base system was designed. This system adopts a front-end and back-end separation architecture, ensuring good scalability and flexibility. The system mainly has multiple functions such as user authentication, user management, tag management, project management, project member management, project document management, project data management, information retrieval function, and document robot. Among them, information retrieval and document robots are the core functions of the project. The information retrieval part uses Elasticsearch to store document information, and synchronizes the document information stored in MySQL to Elasticsearch through Logstash. The inverted index structure greatly improves the efficiency of full-text retrieval. The document robot module introduces retrieval enhanced generation technology, which combines the prompt word engineering and retrieval database provided by LangChain with a large language model to achieve intelligent question answering for documents. With the continuous deepening of enterprise informatization construction, this system will provide stronger support for the development of enterprises and provide an efficient solution for project management, which helps to improve the efficiency and quality of project management and has certain application scenarios and reference value. ©2024 IEEE.

The theory of Ambiguous-Intuitionistic-Fuzzy-Sets (IFS) termed as AIFS is a better way to deal with uncertain/vagueness information as compared to IFS. Considering the novelty of AIFS, this paper presents one of the applications of AIFS to the Renewable-Energy (RE) Systems (RESs). This is achieved by taking the foundation development of Ambiguous-Intuitionistic-Fuzzy-Hybrid-Averaging-Operator referred by the AFHA operator. The incorporation of the AFHA operator into RESs is a viable approach to tackle complex difficulties. This research examines the practical uses, theoretical basis, and operational consequences of implementing AFHA operator in renewable energy systems. It also demonstrates the effectiveness of AFHA operator in addressing various operational situations in RESs. A comparative study is also included in this study to show and observe the validity of the obtained results. © 2024 IEEE.

The rapid advancement of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has transformed healthcare by enabling remote patient monitoring, chronic disease management, and preventive care solutions. Human Body Communication (HBC) stands out as a promising integration within this evolution, utilizing the body's electrical conductivity for seamless data transmission between wearable health devices and healthcare systems. This direct connection ensures secure, real-time monitoring without traditional connectivity constraints. Proposing a protocol design framework, this abstract aims to optimize communication between IoT and HBC technologies to enhance health monitoring services and the framework accommodates a variety of sensors crucial for comprehensive health assessment, including temperature, EEG, ECG, heart rate, pressure, blood glucose, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, and blood pressure sensors. By integrating IoT and HBC, healthcare enters a new era characterized by improved accessibility, efficiency, and personalized care delivery. This convergence fosters proactive healthcare, empowering individuals to manage their well-being while enabling healthcare providers to deliver timely interventions for better patient outcomes. © 2024 IEEE.

LoRaWAN is a popular Long-Range Low-Power wireless communications protocol that is enabling many IoT applications worldwide, with more networks growing both in size and number around the world. To effectively plan and operate these networks, it is necessary to have tools that reliably quantify, measure, and predict the connection quality provided by LoRaWAN receivers. Being able to reliably quantify connection quality would allow LoRaWAN adopters to answer questions such as, 'What does 'good coverage' mean?'. Reliably measuring coverage would allow for questions like 'What is the quality of network coverage in a given area?', to be answered, while predicting connection quality would allow adopters to answer questions such as 'What would the coverage quality be if we deployed an additional wireless receiver in this location?' This paper proposes a novel data-driven approach to connection quality modeling that is tailored for LoRaWAN with the following features. First, connection quality is quantified by the packet reception rate (PRR), as opposed to the traditional received signal strength typical of generic radio planning tools. The PRR more closely captures what network operators and users ultimately care about. Next, we leverage a large set of original data to fit a model for PRR. This dataset is unique in two ways. First, it includes transmissions that were transmitted but not received by any gateway, eliminating an otherwise persistent source of bias in empirical estimates of wireless connectivity. Second, it includes features derived from high-fidelity terrain topology extracted from LiDAR point clouds. Our model includes both feature extraction and estimation. We evaluate our model out-of-sample, including in regions entirely disjoint from the training data, and show that it is considerably more accurate than common benchmark wireless propagation models. Finally, we demonstrate how our model can be used to provide coverage maps in a real-world network. © 2024

This paper presents results of investigations on the reproducibility of the properties of important refractory matrix composites used in aerospace industry. The method of fabrication was electroconsolidation, which was a modified version of Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) with directly applied alternating current. The composites were sintered out of zirconia nanopowder, which served either as a reinforcement in alumina matrix, or as a matrix reinforced with SiC nanofibers. In order to keep the sintering conditions repeatable, measurements of linear compaction, temperature and pressure were applied. The results demonstrated that the accuracy of measurements was sufficient to ensure repeatable properties of the sintered composites. © 2024 IEEE.

Rehabilitation robots have shown significant efficacy in restoring lost motor functions in stroke survivors by providing compliant assistance during rehabilitation tasks. However, accurately understanding the desired motion intention (DMI) of the subjects is a significant challenge in providing effective robotic assistance. This work aims to determine the desired motion intention (DMI) for compliant robotic assistance through the analysis of upper limb motions using electroencephalography (EEG) signals. A group of fifteen individuals who were in good health carried out six distinct exercises. These movements were categorized using decision trees, random forest, and deep learning algorithms. Using deep learning, we achieved the highest accuracy rates, reaching 82% for movement-to-movement classification and 90% for movement-to-rest classification. The random forest method achieved superior performance compared to the other algorithms in regression tests, with an accuracy rate of 83%. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed EEG-based classification and regression techniques in detecting DMI for robotic help in *** study was conducted with a small sample size, exclusively involving healthy subjects, which is a critical factor to consider. This may limit the generalizability of the results, particularly when populations with motor impairments are taken into account. This paper proposes an optimal energy storage units (ESUs) operation strategy with efficiency improvement and state of charge (SoC) balance by considering converter characters and network loss. First, the optimal power-sharing ratio considering minimized power loss of paralleled ESUs is obtained with the Lagrange Multiplier Method. Second, the optimal power-sharing ratio with SoC balance of ESUs is obtained. On the basis of it, the optimal operation strategy of paralleled ESUs with efficiency improvement and SoC balance is proposed. The power-sharing ratio of ESUs changes actively according to system operation status. Under the proposed ESUs SoC balance and efficiency improvement control strategy, the difference in each paralleled energy storage unit SoC can be controlled within a desired range. Meanwhile, the system efficiency considering converter loss and cable loss can be improved. In that case, the system's overall performance can be improved. The proposed control strategy effectiveness is verified through the real-time simulation with RT-Lab. The proposed control strategy can enhance ESU operation performance with efficiency improvement and SoC balance. © 2023 IEEE.

By integrating the traditional power grid with information and communication technology, smart grid achieves dependable, efficient, and flexible grid data processing. The smart meters deployed on the user side of the smart grid collect the users' power usage data on a regular basis and upload it to the control center to complete the smart grid data acquisition. The control center can evaluate the supply and demand of the power grid through aggregated data from users and then dynamically adjust the power supply and price, etc. However, since the grid data collected from users may disclose the user's electricity usage habits and daily activities, privacy concern has become a critical issue in smart grid data aggregation. Most of the existing privacy-preserving data collection schemes for smart grid adopt homomorphic encryption or randomization techniques which are either impractical because of the high computation overhead or unrealistic for requiring a trusted third party.
