This research reveals the potential of Mediapipe with machine learning methods in addressing the critical need for real-time posture monitoring, offering a promising solution for creating secure work environments and improving health and safety conditions not only in the cargo industry but also in other fields, such as healthcare, sports, and industry. The findings indicate that the Random Forest Classifier demonstrates the highest accuracy in classifying untrained movements, indicating its potential for developing a posture correction warning system. Further research is needed to validate the findings and explore real-world applications. Overall, this study contributes to the advancement of workplace safety and sets the foundation for future developments in posture monitoring systems using Mediapipe and machine learning using Python programming. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper proposes some solutions to optimize the Butterworth filter from the structure of plug-in type repetitive controllers, as well as the use of the Bessel filter, which offers a simpler way of choosing the anticipatory factor from the repetitive controller structure. The comparative analysis of the two types of filters was made on the basis of three criteria: 1) the standard deviation of the error in the control loop, where the first type of filter proved to be superior;2) ease of obtaining the optimal value of the anticipative parameter, in which case the Bessel filter is preferred;3) sensitivity to changes in the filter parameters and/or process model, where the second filter is also preferred © 2023 IEEE.

This paper, investigates the consequences of Non-Participation Penalty (NPP) imposed on large industries in Iran for their non-compliance with renewable energy usage. The study presents ten distinct configurations of a hybrid system incorporating grid, wind turbines (WTs), photovoltaic (PV), and diesel generator. HOMER Pro software was used to evaluate scenarios based on real data from a large industrial plant, analyzing the impact of variables on economic parameters, with a particular focus on NPC. According to the results, the integration of diesel generators in WT and PV combinations leads to reductions in both Net Present Cost (NPC) and Cost of Energy (COE) within the hybrid systems and using renewable energy is more cost-effective than accepting the fine and using only the grid until electricity prices increase by 5% annually. Also, its NPC is at least 4.62$ less. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the problem that the combination of self-play (SP) and deep reinforcement learning (DRL) only involves two-party games and the policy learning of each party is limited, a multi-party asymmetric self-play algorithm (MASP) is proposed. Firstly, by improving the ELO scoring system, the ELO scoring takes into account each party of the unmanned surface vehicle (USV) clusters, and the imbalance of the number of USV clusters, so that the frequency of exchanging strategies of all USV clusters in the confrontation process is equal. Secondly, it ensures that USV clusters have a balanced combat ability, and at the same time ensures that the combat ability of all parties is strong and weak and the gap is not too wide. In addition, the parameters are dynamically set to reduce the update frequency of the policy of the stronger party. The experimental results show that the MASP can make the USV clusters learn more effective policies, have a shorter game time, and obtain higher rewards and ELO scores in the simple 2v2 adversarial game scenario and the three-party game scenario of a warship escort mission. © 2024 ACM.

Three new modifications of second-order low-frequency discrete analog filters (DAFs) based on switched capacitors have been developed and studied. A distinctive feature of the DAFs under consideration is the presence of two resistors in the general feedback circuit. This allows, at constant values of the capacitances of the frequency-setting capacitors and a fixed switching frequency of electronic switches, to control the frequency of the DAF pole by changing the resistance ratio of these resistors. The basic equations for the low-pass filter gain at zero frequency, the low-pass filter gain at the pole frequency, as well as formulas for calculating the pole frequency and pole attenuation are given. In the Micro-Cap environment, computer simulation of the proposed modifications of the DAF was performed, which shows that the considered circuit solutions perform the functions of a low-pass filter. © 2024 IEEE.

We address the problem of event-triggered networked control of nonlinear systems under simultaneous deception and Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks. By DoS attacks, we refer to disruptions in the communication channel that prevent sensor measurements from reaching the controller. When the system undergoes a deception attack, the controller receives a modified output, deviating from the sensor's original measurement. We implement the input delay approach and the Lyapunov-Krasovskii technique to obtain sufficient conditions, expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), that characterize the duration of the DoS interruptions under which input-to-state stability (ISS) of the closed-loop system is preserved. Furthermore, we explore scenarios involving simultaneous attacks, where the DoS is modeled as a stochastic Bernoulli process. The closed-loop system is then considered as a stochastic impulsive system. In a similar manner, we derive conditions to ensure mean-square ISS for this case. A numerical example illustrates the efficiency of the results. © 2024 IEEE.

Laplacian dynamics on signed digraphs have a richer behavior than those on nonnegative digraphs. In particular, for the so-called 'repelling' signed Laplacians, the marginal stability property (needed to achieve consensus) is not guaranteed a priori and, even when it holds, it does not automatically lead to consensus, as these signed Laplacians may lose rank even in strongly connected digraphs. Furthermore, in the time-varying case, instability can occur even when switching in a family of systems each of which corresponds to a marginally stable signed Laplacian with the correct corank. In this article, we present novel conditions for achieving consensus on signed digraphs based on the property of eventual positivity, a Perron-Frobenius (PF) type of property for signed matrices. The conditions we develop cover both time-invariant and time-varying cases. A particularly simple sufficient condition, valid in both cases, is that the Laplacians are normal matrices. Such condition can be relaxed in several ways. For instance, in the time-invariant case it is enough that the Laplacian has this PF property on the right side, but not on the left side (i.e., on the transpose). For the time-varying case, convergence to consensus can be guaranteed by the existence of a common Lyapunov function for all the signed Laplacians. All conditions can be easily extended to bipartite consensus. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Distributed power allocation (DPA) in micro-grids (MGs) has a significant potential for attaining a cost effective and reliable solution of power dispatch. Considering the significant risks posed by cyber-attacks and system limitations to the MGs, it is important to develop resilient methods for an efficient DPA, which is valuable both in terms of theoretical understanding and practical application for energy 5.0 framework. This work addresses the DPA problem in MGs, specifically focusing on the economic dispatch (ED) for the generation side while taking into account ramp-rate limits (RRLs) and stochastic false-data injection (FDI) attacks. A consensus-based protocol has been developed by considering the information of the incremental costs of neighbouring generators and local power mismatch for a generation facility. A stochastic FDI attack at the shared information over the network has been accounted. The proposed technique guarantees robust (and resilient) convergence by providing a sufficient criterion under RRLs and stochastic FDI attacks. The proposed approach is based of the distributed ED framework, and convergence analysis has been performed via two Lyapunov functions. The convergence of total power mismatch and error in synchronization of incremental costs to bounded sets are ensured by the proposed approach. The presented framework achieves an efficient energy production cost. The network's robustness and resilience for the shared information of incremental cost of energy production units as the consensus variable are accounted. The simulation study for a set of five generators under stochastic FDI attacks and RRLs are provided which confirm the theoretical findings of the proposed scheme. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, research on hybrid Savonius-Darrieus has significant attention within the wind energy sector. According to earlier research, this hybrid can produce higher torque at low tip speed ratios than a solo Darrieus model. However, as tip speed ratio increase, hybrids tend to perform lower than solo Darrieus. This study introduces an innovative paradigm termed rotor switching theory. It suggests switching from hybrid to solo Darrieus rotation at higher tip speed ratio for the turbine. Current study is conducted experimentally using testing models of small hybrid Savonius-Darrieus and solo Darrieus turbines. The internal rotor consists of two stages of Savonius turbines with a 0.2 overlap and a bucket angle of 135°, each having two blades. The external rotor features a NREL S809 Darrieus airfoil with a 5 cm cord length and three blades. Outer radius is 10 cm and its height is 15.4 cm. The experiments are conducted within an open-circuit wind tunnel with the wind speed variations of 3 - 12 m/s. Based on the results, the intersection of the moment and power coefficient graphs for both the hybrid and solo Darrieus occurs at TSR 1.7. When reaching this condition, switching the turbine rotation state from hybrid to solo Darrieus can offer advantages. By employing this concept, the turbine will achieve an expected initial power coefficient that is 150% better than the solo Darrieus and a maximum power coefficient that is 21% greater than the hybrid model. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper focuses on the research of steady-state earthing arc burning conditions in the context of influence of higher harmonic components in earth fault current. The criteria of arc burning stability and of single phase-to-earth fault transfer to phase-to-phase short circuit are offered in the paper. Calculation of the time period for which arcing single phase-to-earth fault transfers to phase-to-phase short circuit, was conducted. Also the root mean square value of residual fault current which makes steady-state earthing arc burning possible, was defined with the usage of COMSOL Multiphysics and PSCAD software. The obtained results can be used during development and research of single phase-to-earth fault and thermal overload relay protection devices. © VDE VERLAG GMBH · Berlin · Offenbach.
