Object detection, while being a key step in many applications, has remained challenging, mainly due to the different resolutions of objects in an image. On the other hand, Super-Resolution (SR) approaches have recently been developed to improve the resolution of an image. In this paper, we utilize SR to enhance the quality of images before applying them to a detection model and propose a structure where the detection performance is improved. Furthermore, we remove the image noises by SR methods. Comparisons depict the superior visual performance of the proposed method compared to the conventional detection models. We evaluate our proposed method for detection of solar panels in two countries. To this aim, we created a dataset of satellite images needed for implementing detection models. As a result, we can simply evaluate the usage of solar panels in countries.

In this paper, frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) radar system using dielectric resonator antenna (DRA), which has two beams with orthogonal linear polarization to each other, is introduced to function as a monopulse radar. The DRA operates at 24.3 GHz with a 16.8% bandwidth and provides over 40 dB isolation between V-pol and H-pol ports. Simulations demonstrate effective target detection and advanced directional information extraction, similar to monopulse radar, using a signal processing technique to address overlapping beam regions.

EVENODD+ codes are binary maximum distance separable (MDS) array codes for correcting double disk failures in RAID-6 with asymptotically optimal encoding/decoding/update complexities. However, the number of bits stored in each disk of EVENODD+ codes should be an odd number minus one. In this paper, we present a new construction of EVENODD+ codes that have more flexible parameters. The number of bits stored in each disk of our codes is an odd minus one times any positive integer. Moreover, our codes not only have asymptotically optimal encoding/decoding/update complexities but also have lower encoding/decoding/update complexities than the existing EVENODD+ codes.

Energy consumption prediction of a CNC machining process is important for energy efficiency optimization *** improve the generalization abilities,more and more parameters are acquired for energy prediction *** the data collected from workshops may be incomplete because of misoperation,unstable network connections,and frequent transfers,*** work proposes a framework for energy modeling based on incomplete data to address this ***,some necessary preliminary operations are used for incomplete data ***,missing values are estimated to generate a new complete data set based on generative adversarial imputation nets(GAIN).Next,the gene expression programming(GEP)algorithm is utilized to train the energy model based on the generated data ***,we test the predictive accuracy of the obtained *** experiments are designed to investigate the performance of the proposed framework with different rates of missing *** results demonstrate that even when the missing data rate increases to 30%,the proposed framework can still make efficient predictions,with the corresponding RMSE and MAE 0.903 k J and 0.739 k J,respectively.
