Low-temperature conformal vacuum deposition of OLED devices using close-space sublimation

Close-space sublimation(CSS)has been demonstrated as an alternative vacuum deposition technique for fabricating organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs).CSS utilizes a planar donor plate pre-coated with organic thin films as an area source to rapidly transfer the donor film to a device substrate at temperatures below 200℃.CSS is also conformal and capable of depositing on odd-shaped substrates using flexible donor *** evaporation behaviors of organic donor films under CSS were fully characterized using model OLED materials and CSS-deposited films exhibited comparable device performances in an OLED stack to films deposited by conventional point *** low temperature and conformal nature of CSS,along with its high material utilization and short process time,make it a promising method for fabricating flexible OLED displays.

The rise of smart cities is directly connected to the increasing use of vehicles. The growing vehicle utilization has driven the emergence of Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), facilitating instant information exchange among vehicles. The system provides essential information regarding road conditions, traffic patterns, and more relevant data. VANETs encompass two fundamental categories of communication exchanges, namely Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I). V2I technology facilitates the integration of cars and transportation infrastructure, enabling effective communication between vehicles and infrastructure. Nevertheless, the potential of V2I communication has various security concerns arising from prevalent security threats. Current authentication techniques encounter challenges regarding complexity, security, and privacy considerations. We designed a hash-based lightweight and anonymous authentication scheme to address the aforementioned restrictions and enhance the effectiveness of authentication in V2I architecture. This scheme effectively combines identity, password, and bio-metric to enhance resistance against impersonation, denial of service, and privileged insider attacks. The devised scheme distinguishes itself by a comparative analysis and security proofs, highlighting its superior capability in guaranteeing secure authentication in V2I communication. The comprehensive security analysis conducted formally and informally showcases the robustness of the proposed solution against several threats. The performance evaluation results show that our scheme demonstrates a decrease in the computational cost of 51.40% approximately and a reduction in communication overhead of around 22.57%. These results establish the efficiency and scalability of the proposed scheme as a viable solution for V2I architecture. © 2000-2011 IEEE.

This paper proposes a novel pursuit strategy for a quadrotor-type UAV pursuit evasion game. The novel guidance law considering 3-dimensional and quadrotor UAV maneuvers is proposed as a baseline and expert knowledge for UAV pursuit-evasion games. In this paper, we propose guided exploration reinforcement learning (GE-DDPG) to enhance convergence time and exploration efficiency compared to pure DDPG with Gaussian noise and behavior cloning. The simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms the baseline guidance law and other DDPG methods in capture time and performance in UAV maneuvering scenarios. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Convolutional neural network (CNN)-based dehazing methods have achieved great success in single image dehazing. However, the absence of real-world haze image datasets hinders the deep development of single image dehazing. To address this issue, we propose a diverse hazy image synthesis method based on generative adversarial network (GAN) and matting. Specially, we train a GAN-based model that can transform a gray image into a hazy image. To boost the diversity of hazy images, we propose to simulate hazy images via image matting, which can fuse a real haze image with another image containing diverse objects. To evaluate the performance of dehazing methods, we propose two novel metrics: part-based peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and structure similarity index measure (SSIM). Extensive experiments are conducted to show the effectiveness of the proposed model, dataset, and criteria. © 2020 IEEE.

Electrocardiography (ECG) signals are often plagued by various types of noise, which substantially undermines the precision of subsequent analysis. This paper presents ECG-LLM, an innovative model designed to address the challenges posed by low-quality ECG signals. Leveraging the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs), ECG-LLM forecasts and imputes missing values in 12-lead ECG data. ECG-LLM adapts the auto-regressive characteristics of LLMs, utilizes textual markers for timestamp information, and employs a strategy of freezing Transformer layers while training new embedding and projection layers. We used ECG datasets from multiple sources for our experiments. Experimental results demonstrate that ECG-LLM significantly outperforms state-of-the-art time series forecasting models, achieving a Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.644 and a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.456 for a forecast length of 64. Additionally, after using ECG-LLM to restore the electrocardiogram, the disease recognition accuracy of the baseline model was improved. Our findings highlight the feasibility and effectiveness of applying LLMs to ECG signal processing, offering a new perspective for medical signal analysis and providing a potential new approach for signal preprocessing in healthcare. A novel method incorporating joint perturbation sensitivity analysis is proposed in this paper to design frequency reconfigurable planar antennas with a pixelated surface. Using our method, an antenna design having two switched working frequency bands and omnidirectional radiation patterns, is optimized. There are many ways to track the traffic conditions on roads. With the rise of AI-based image processing technology, there has been a surge in interest in developing traffic monitoring systems that rely on camera vision data. An improved road monitoring system may be derived from the data collected in this research by placing a camera at a junction. The technique detects and classifies vehicles using a deep-learning-based methodology (YOLOv4). By comparing the positions of the vehicle with the map HD, lane-by-lane trajectories of the vehicle may be approximated. The predicted vehicle trajectories are used to calculate each lane's wait lengths and traffic volumes, broken down by travel direction. This technique was evaluated using five distinct metrics: vehicle detection rates, trajectory prediction, type of vehicle categorization, traffic volume estimate, and queue length assessment. Thousands of samples were used to assess its performance. Based on the findings, it is acceptable to assume that the system can identify vehicles with a 98% success rate and an error rate of less than 25% regarding lane-by-lane trip volume estimation and vehicle type classification. Therefore, this study's approach reveals the viability of collecting comprehensive traffic information from a camera set up at a junction. Current traffic monitoring schemes have a reasonable likelihood of being developed by this study's significant contribution, which is a strategy that combines AI with HD map approaches. © 2024 IEEE.
