Currently, the performance of the police in Indonesia is often in the spotlight of the public with cases that occur, both on a national and regional scale, including personal experiences who also feel disappointed with the performance of the police. The cases, such as the rape of three children by a biological father in East Luwu, and the barrage of other cases that have occurred, in their handling have left the public disappointed, giving rise to the hashtag percumlaporpolisi on social media, especially on twitter. This hashtag became trending and was widely responded to by the public. Using free hashtag keywords, tweet data is collected using Twitter's API for sentiment analysis. The datasets obtained from the crawling results is the latest data with a total of 100 datasets. This study applies the naïve bayes algorithm using textblob which aims to determine the value of polarity and subjectivity. From the results of the analysis carried out, the words that appear most often are useless police, police chief, and policeman. While the results of the sentiment analysis that has been carried out are 40 percent positive sentiment, 40 percent are neutral sentiment and 10 percent are negative sentiment from the hashtags used. From these results, according to the keywords used, the percentage of negative sentiment should be greater than positive and neutral sentiment. It is necessary to conduct a more in-depth study related to the model used in the next research. © 2023 IEEE.

An accurate predictive model of temperature and humidity plays a vital role in many industrial processes that utilize a closed space such as in agriculture and building management. With the exceptional performance of deep learning on time-series data, developing a predictive temperature and humidity model with deep learning is propitious. In this study, we demonstrated that deep learning models with multivariate time-series data produce remarkable performance for temperature and relative humidity prediction in a closed space. In detail, all deep learning models that we developed in this study achieve almost perfect performance with an R value over 0.99. © 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Batik is an Indonesian world cultural heritage. Batik consists of many kinds of patterns depending on where the batik comes from, Batik-making techniques continue to develop along with technology development. Among the batik making techniques that are widely used are hand-written, stamping, and printing. Batik motifs have been widely used as research material, especially in the field of artificial intelligence. The diverse appearance of batik motifs has attracted many researchers to carry out research on making synthetic batik patterns, one of which uses a Generative Adversarial Network. This paper presents a synthetic batik pattern model based on the Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network with Gradient Penalty. This model has been proven to create new synthetic batik patterns quite well and almost identical with images provided in the dataset, with the notes if the dataset provided is large. © 2023 IEEE.

Wheelchair basketball for people with disabilities is a niche market with limited attention and resources due to its smaller scale. We utilize the characteristics of VR technology, combining wearable devices with physical wheelchair seating, to create a virtual and real interactive game of wheelchair basketball. This enables people with disabilities to exercise at home and allows the general public to experience the challenges of disability sports, fostering empathy and emphasizing the importance of social justice. © 2024 IEEE.

Successful detection of Out-of-Distribution (OoD) data is becoming increasingly important to ensure safe deployment of neural networks. One of the main challenges in OoD detection is that neural networks output overconfident predictions on OoD data, make it difficult to determine OoD-ness of data solely based on their predictions. Outlier exposure addresses this issue by introducing an additional loss that encourages low-confidence predictions on OoD data during training. While outlier exposure has shown promising potential in improving OoD detection performance, all previous studies on outlier exposure have been limited to utilizing visual outliers. Drawing inspiration from the recent advancements in vision-language pre-training, this paper venture out to the uncharted territory of textual outlier exposure. First, we uncover the benefits of using textual outliers by replacing real or virtual outliers in the image-domain with textual equivalents. Then, we propose various ways of generating preferable textual outliers. Our extensive experiments demonstrate that generated textual outliers achieve competitive performance on large-scale OoD and hard OoD benchmarks. Furthermore, we conduct empirical analyses of textual outliers to provide primary criteria for designing advantageous textual outliers: near-distribution, descriptiveness, and inclusion of visual semantics. Recently, the research on daily health monitoring using a wearable sensor has been continually evolving. In the future, when this system is actually implemented, a vast amount of data transmission will be conducted from multiple sensors to the cloud server. A system capable of transmitting, storing, processing, and visualizing massive volumes of data is necessary for health monitoring. This research aims to develop a health monitoring system that can accommodate a high amount of data with high performance. The proposed techniques include numerous modifications to system architecture and technology. In the system architecture, a multi-database is proposed to enhance the reliability of the system. As an enhancement to the technology aspect, a time series database and MQTT server are proposed. As the result, the proposed system achieves significantly better performance in terms of throughput, database-writing speed, and database-reading speed compared to the existing system. © 2022 IEEE.

This study is related to a system that enables elderly people to communicate interactively with young people who use existing message exchange services by simply speaking to an avatar on a tablet PC, without having to perform complicated operations of the tablet PC. On the other hand, the young people side can bring in elderly people who could not previously participate in existing message exchange services groups. The effectiveness of the system was verified through demonstration experiments with two households consisting of elderly people in their 80s. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, we performed a simulation for a physical resistive random-access device (RRAM) to propose an improved model representing its electrical characteristics. Voltage ThrEshold Adaptive Memristor (VTEAM) model that operates based on the voltage threshold of the device adapted for the RRAM simulation. We applied some physical features to the model to adjust the internal state variable to improve the simulation results. The internal state variable used in the model was designed after the physical feature such as the distance between the end of the filament and the electrode of the device. Therefore, applying some of these physical conditions affects the simulation results. Simulation results with the newly applied model showed optimized I-V characteristics that resemble the physical device's behavior more than the existing model. © 2022 IEEE.

Research has been carried out to monitor vehicle tires before they are used and can reduce damage, including overcoming vehicle fuel waste because air pressure is continuously monitored. This research aims to utilize the MPX5500DP sensor as an air pressure device, the LM35 sensor as a temperature reader, and a buzzer based on IoT to build a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The MPX5500DP and LM35 sensor inputs to the Arduino Uno microcontroller are distributed by the NodeMCU, fitted with a Wi-Fi module. The Blynk application sends and displays the data on a smartphone using the IoT-based. Based on this research, data on the percentage of errors in monitoring air pressure and tire temperature on vehicles were obtained by comparing the data to the pressure gauge and thermometer: 1-the results of the average reading of the sensor error value. MPX5500DP air pressure against pressure gauge is 5.3%. 2-the average reading of the LM35 sensor error value on the temperature thermometer is 6.8%. With this research, the air pressure and temperature in the tires can be monitored in real-Time via a smartphone using the IoT-based. © 2022 IEEE.
