This paper presents the design and implementation of highly-miniaturized, low-power CMOS signal conditioning schemes intended for use in a totally implantable biomedical sensor platform. Due to the thrust for the development implantable biomedical sensing systems for health management and disease prevention, there exists a need for signal processing schemes which occupy very little on-chip real estate and consume negligible amounts of power. In light of this, this paper presents both a CMOS current-to-frequency converter and voltage-tofrequency converter which have been designed primarily for use in implantable biosensing platforms and applications. Such designs can be implemented in stand-alone single sensor designs, or in tandem to create multi-analyte architectures. The versatility of employing current-to-frequency as well as voltageto- frequency signal transduction schemes presents an avenue for the integration with any electrochemical sensing element which has been fabricated in an amperometric or voltammetric fashion. Furthermore, we demonstrate the efficacy of both these circuit designs by integrating them together with high performance electrochemical implantable glucose and pH sensors. The low power consumption and miniature size of the amperometric and voltammetric signal processing units (0.25 mm2 and 18 IlW / 0.045 mm2 and 122 IlW, respectively) presents an ideal design for signal processing in implantable continuous metabolic monitoring devices.

Enterprise governance basically is a framework, principles and policies, structures, processes and practices, information, skills, culture, ethics, and behavior to determine direction and monitoring related to compliance and performance that align with enterprise goals. COBIT 5 provides guidance that enterprise governance is influenced by individual and collective factors. The existence of this factor will influence process ini scope of governance enterprise either for governance and management area. University governance is a behavior, manner or method used by the college to utilize full potential and optimization elements, in order to achieve the vision and mission that has been set. Model of Vocational University Governance are built based on governance university components and principles of good university governance with reference models that exist within ISO 38500 framework. Enablers that exist within COBIT 5 framework will be used as a determining factor in the preparation of the proposed model of governance and measurement model of vocational university governance.

With the rapid growth of communication technologies, the widespread use of the Internet, and the recent introduction of e-services, the number of computer network security threats is dramatically increasing. This paper presents an efficient method for anomaly detection in network traffic. In this method, network traffic is decomposed into control and data planes. As the data traffic generation is based on control traffic, the behavior of the two planes is expected to be similar during normal behavior. Therefore, detecting dissimilarity (via cross-correlation) between the traffic of the two planes can indicate an abnormal behavior. Constant and adaptive thresholding techniques have been developed in this paper for the design of a false alarm rate intrusion detection processors. Simulation experiments have been carried out on a real traffic obtained at King Saud University at the end of 2012. © 2013 IEEE.

A cost effective and environmentally friendly wideband monopole antenna fabricated on flexible paper substrate using a metallic nanoparticle ink is proposed in this paper. By cutting a slot on the main radiator and adding an additional radiator, the bandwidth of the antenna is enhanced. The fabricated antenna prototype has a measured impedance bandwidth of 16.97% for the first band (2.21 - 2.62 GHZ) and 73.68% for the second band, covering the frequency range between 3 - 6.5 GHz. The size of the radiator is 30 × 34 mm~2. The measured and simulated results are in good agreement. The proposed design is suitable for conformal and environmentally friendly "green" electronics.

Robots also have been trusted to help human to complete difficult jobs, for example, finding for the earthquake, a fire, or a sinking ship victims. The robot must be reliable, clever and moving automatically. The aim of this study is to develop and apply the application of artificial RAM-based neural networks (WNNs) on a mobile robot using a multilayer processing architecture with memory optimizations on to address and input pattern, so that producing smart navigation model which it has a simpler computational load and faster execution time. The gained result from the first study was the percentage of memory optimization in the amount of 50%. This result obtained from the formerly RAM using 8 bit data width has been optimized to 4 bits. Both of the percentage of data optimization pattern is 93.75%. This percentage is obtained from the optimization pattern (pattern taken is 4 bits MSB), each 1 bit data can handle 15 unseen patterns.

This paper presents a shunt active power filter based on the concept of open-end winding (OEW) transformers. The proposed configuration is constituted of two converters with three legs each series connected throughout a three-phase OEW transformer. Model PWM strategy and control scheme are presented as well. The main advantage of the proposed system lies on the multi-level waveform generation, which allows reduction of either harmonic distortions or switching losses. This proposed topology is suitable for medium voltage (MV) distribution systems. Simulation and experimental results validate the theoretical study.

Branched Nanowire Heterostructures for Efficient and Durable Solar-Driven Hydrogen Production

Branched nanowire (NW) heterostructures have recently been attracted considerable attention for solar water splitting and clean hydrogen production due to their unique properties such as nanoscale integration of different functional materials, greatly enhanced junction and surface area, enhanced gas evolution efficiency, broadband light absorption, etc. Moreover, branched NWs can be fabricated using facile and scalable fabrication methods such as hydrothermal or solvothermal growth methods. In this presentation, we show branched NWs of different compositions for core (or trunk) and branch NWs which were fabricated with facile and low-cost synthesis methods using cheap, non-toxic, and earth abundant materials including Si, CuO, Cu2O, ZnO, TiO2, and Fe2O3. The branched NW structures and the heterostructures' interfaces are investigated in detail using different characterization techniques such as SEM/HRSEM, TEM/HRTEM, STEM/HRSETM, etc. The photoelectrochemical (PEC) performances including photocurrent turn-on potential, photocurrent, solar conversion efficiency, and incident photon-to-current efficiency (IPCE) are studied systematically and optimized, based on different core and branch NW dimensions, for each specific branched NW heterostructure to provide efficient water splitting in a neutral medium. The electrode stability of different branched NWs is also investigated and long-term stability of over one day or several hours using a thin passivation layer or robust branched NWs are presented. The achieved results pave the way for accomplishing spontaneous overall solar water splitting for clean, efficient, cost-effective and durable solar hydrogen generation at large scales.
