This paper conducts a comprehensive analysis of electrical generator performance using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), with a specific emphasis on the role of coil numbers in influencing generator efficiency and functionality. In the context of modern energy systems, where efficient power generation is paramount, this research aims to elucidate the relationship between the number of coils within a generator and its overall performance, including power output and electromagnetic behavior. Through systematic FEA simulations that vary coil numbers while keeping other parameters constant, this study provides valuable insights into the trade-offs associated with increased coil numbers and enhanced efficiency. These findings have significant implications for optimizing generator designs across various applications, from renewable energy systems to industrial power generation, ultimately advancing our understanding of generator dynamics and contributing to more sustainable and efficient power generation technologies.

Accurate and timely estimation of sunflower yield is crucial for agricultural researchers, farmers, and breeders. Use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) with multi-spectral sensors has been adopted to meet the need for precise sunflower seed yield predictions. This study proposes a combined approach that integrates 12 remotely sensed vegetation indices (VIs) with 3 key physiological traits - fresh weight, dry weight, and moisture factor - to capture the complex dynamics affecting sunflower crop. Predictive performance of VIs alone and in combination with physiological traits is evaluated using Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE). Our results show that incorporating these two sets of features, along with their temporal, spectral, and statistical characteristics, leads to consistent improvements in sunflower seed yield estimation that can reduce the root mean squared error to as low as 0.4075 ( $\text{kg} / \text{plot}$ ).

The Neural Networks (NN) model which is incorporated in the control system design has been studied, and the results show better performance than the mathematical model approach. However, some studies consider that only offline NN model learning and does not use the online NN model learning directly on the control system. As a result, the controller's performance decreases due to changes in the system environment from time to time. The Reinforcement Learning (RL) method has been investigated intensively, especially Model-based RL (Mb-RL) to predict system dynamics. It has been investigated and performs well in making the system more robust to environmental changes by enabling online learning. This paper proposes online learning of local dynamics using the Mb-RL method by utilizing Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model. We consider Model Predictive Control (MPC) scheme as an agent of the Mb-RL method to control the regulatory trajectory objectives with a random shooting policy to search for the minimum objective function. A nonlinear Mass Spring Damper (NMSD) system with parameter-varying linear inertia is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The simulation results show that the system can effectively control high-oscillating nonlinear systems with good performance.

Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) have drawn the attention of researchers in the medical imaging field. Many researchers have exploited CNN for breast cancer detection. This study provides an Internet of Things (IoT) friendly implementation of CNN for breast cancer detection. To achieve faster time to Market, Deep-learning Processing Unit (DPU) on Field programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is adopted for the CNN hardware implementation. CNN inference on the proposed system achieves a 1.6x speed-up factor and 91.5% reduction in energy consumption compared to the conventional general-purpose multi-core Central Processing Unit (CPU).

This research aims to create a virtual reality-based practice system that simulates real-stage performance environments, assisting amateur dancers in overcoming stage fright and practicing group choreography that is difficult to achieve during individual practice. In this study, users can engage in performance simulations within the created system using the HTC VIVE virtual reality device. Within the system, we have developed a virtual stage space system that only requires a 2m x 3.5m physical area to simulate a large virtual stage experience. Users can also simulate choreographic positioning with virtual dance partners within this system, providing amateur dancers with group dance rehearsal practice opportunities that are not feasible during solo practice. Additionally, by creating three different audience modes, we aim to help users simulate various audience scenarios they may encounter during a performance. The system includes a recording feature that captures users' simulated performances, allowing them to review their actions and receive feedback after practice.
