The skin effect, where bulk modes collapse into boundary modes, is a key phenomenon in topological non-Hermitian systems, has been predominantly studied in spinless systems. Recent studies illustrate the magnetic suppression of the first-order skin effect while ignoring spin. However, the physical significance of a magnetic field in non-Hermitian skin effect with spin remains elusive. Here, we systematically explore non-Hermitian spinful systems based on generalized Hatano-Nelson models with SU(2) gauge potential fields. In an open one-dimensional lattice, the spin-up and spin-down states can be uniquely separated and localized at the two boundaries without magnetic field. When an external magnetic field is applied, the skin effect exhibits a smooth transition from bidirectional to unidirectional. Remarkably, we demonstrate that the first-order skin effect can be anomalously induced by a magnetic field in a topologically trivial non-Hermitian spinful system without any skin effect at zero field. The direction of such magnetically induced skin modes can be controlled by simply changing the amplitude and polarity of the magnetic field. In addition, we demonstrate a transition between non-Bloch PT and anti-PT symmetries in the system, and uncover the spin-dependent mechanism of non-Bloch PT symmetry. Self-supervised approach for facial movement based optical flow

Computing optical flow is a fundamental problem in computer vision. However, deep learning-based optical flow techniques do not perform well for non-rigid movements such as those found in faces, primarily due to lack of the training data representing the fine facial motion. We hypothesize that learning optical flow on face motion data will improve the quality of predicted flow on faces. The aim of this work is threefold: (1) exploring self-supervised techniques to generate optical flow ground truth for face images;(2) computing baseline results on the effects of using face data to train Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for predicting optical flow;and (3) using the learned optical flow in micro-expression recognition to demonstrate its effectiveness. We generate optical flow ground truth using facial key-points in the BP4D-Spontaneous dataset. The generated optical flow is used to train the FlowNetS architecture to test its performance on the generated dataset. The performance of FlowNetS trained on face images surpassed that of other optical flow CNN architectures, demonstrating its usefulness. Our optical flow features are further compared with other methods using the STSTNet micro-expression classifier, and the results indicate that the optical flow obtained using this work has promising applications in facial expression analysis. © 2021, CC BY.

Subgap defect termination for p-type Tin monoxide (SnO) is developed with thermal annealing in hydrogen ambient for p-channel oxide thin-film transistor (TFT). High-performance p-channel oxide TFT with the TFT mobility of ~1.4-1.8 cm2/Vs and large on-to-off current as large as 105 was demonstrated. Hydrogen-containing annealing also maintains SnO phase stable up to 390 °C and effectively reduces the subgap defect, which offer the improvement in TFT characteristics. © 2020 SID.

Cholera is a highly contagious and lethal waterborne disease induced by an infection with Vibrio cholerae (V. cholerae) secreting cholera toxin (CTx). Cholera toxin subunit B (CTxB) from the CTx specifically binds with monosialo-tetra-hexosyl-ganglioside (GM1) found on the exterior cell membrane of an enterocyte. Owing to the pathological process of CTx, a biomimetic electrochemical biosensor (CCB) was developed by applying GM1-expressing Caco-2 cell membrane (CCM) on the electrode surface of the biosensor for CTx detection. Briefly, the electrode surface was functionalized with CCM using the vesicle fusion method. The specific binding between GM1 and CTxB on the electrode surface was verified using confocal laser scanning microscopy and atomic force microscopy. The CTxB detection performances of the CCB, including sensitivity, selectivity, and long-term stability, were determined using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Based on the results, the CCB had an excellent limit of detection of ~11.46 nM and a detection range spanning 100 ng/mL - 1 mg/mL. Further, the CCB had high selectivity for the CTxB compared to different interfering molecules, which are abundant constituents of intestinal fluid and fecal matter in the human body. The long-term stability of the CCBs was also verified for 3 weeks using EIS. Overall, the CCB was found to have an excellent potential for application to point-of-care and cost-effective testing for CTxB detection in developing countries. © 2022, The Authors. Admission of new students in 2019 through zoning still faces many obstacles, one of which is the readiness of the application to determine the distance of a student's house from the nearest recommended school. The purpose of this study is to provide better recommendations regarding the shortest and most accurate distance in the zoning system for admission of junior high school students in Malang by using the Generate and Test algorithm without having to do it manually or using other map applications. The results of this study indicate that the distance value obtained from the haversine formula corresponds to the original distance measured through a zoning application that applies the Generate and Test algorithm to measure the closest distance from the student's location. The recommended distance is given through a process of repetition and comparison of nodes. By using the generate and test algorithm for the search process the shortest distance from the user to the destination school has an average time of 6.2MB, the level of accuracy is the same as the Haversine calculation. © 2020 IEEE.

In this research, we have been developed teaching materials for electromagnetics that demonstrate theories using real-world actual applications (capacitors, coils, piezoelectric elements, Wireless Power Transfer(WPT), WiFi, direct-current motor, etc.) presented as animations and video data via Web services. Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and JavaScript were used to create the Web services for teaching materials. Recently, the lack of academic ability of Japanese engineering course students has become a large social problem at Japanese higher education. In particular, in the field of electrical engineering education, the visualization and mathematical abilities of students have been declining remarkably. In addition, today's teaching materials for educational institutions in Japan tend to reply primarily on rote learning. However, we consider that rote learning is not the primary method for university education. We tested our new developed materials on students learning motivation of electromagnetics and evaluated their effectiveness with some questionnaires. It was clear that the new teaching method has effectiveness for increasing learning motivation of Electromagnetics. © 2020 The Institute of electrical Engineers of Japan.

We introduce an effective surface-doping strategy for CdSe nanocrystals (NCs) by examining the size-dependency of the doping behavior. A CdSe NC thin-film transistor (TFT) is fabricated via a doping process with InCl3 treatment followed by an annealing process. Spectroscopic and electronic device characterization reveal that smaller NCs are more effectively doped than larger NCs at all annealing temperatures. This is attributed to the larger specific surface area, where the dopant can be more readily coordinated. The degenerate behavior of a 3.3-nm CdSe-NC TFT appears at a lower temperature than that of larger NC TFTs. We achieve a high electron mobility and on-to-off current ratio of 1.79 cm2/Vs and 5.2 × 105, respectively, in a low-temperature annealing process (150 °C) with 3.3-nm CdSe NCs. This facilitates the fabrication of a flexible CdSe-NC TFT, which is demonstrated on a polyethylene terephthalate substrate with an Al2O3 dielectric layer using atomic layer deposition. The flexible 3.3-nm CdSe-NC TFT is successfully fabricated even at 150 °C, with a high on-to-off current ratio and low hysteresis at a low operation voltage, which is impossible for larger CdSe-NC TFTs. © 2022, The Authors. In the context of achieving Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in hospitals, among others, it is carried out with control and supervision, including in the case of hospital facility maintenance installations. Besides that, the hospital needs to improve its services. The asset reporting system is one of the high needs in this field, so it requires a solution that can deal with existing problems. Unfortunately, the current reporting system so far is more likely to be conventional, such as by telephone. This study proposes a new solution to the hospital facility maintenance reporting process, namely by utilising smartphone-based applications that directly connected to the server. So, the information distributed to the competent parties. This solution can speed up the reporting process and actions. Also, save the historical equipment that is available from each service room - the results of this study used as a hospital facility maintenance reporting system. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Single quantum emitters with spin ground states based on Cl bound excitons in ZnSe

Defects in wide-band-gap semiconductors are promising qubit candidates for quantum communication and computation. Epitaxially grown II-VI semiconductors are particularly promising host materials due to their direct band gap and potential for isotopic purification to a spin-zero nuclear background. Here, we show an alternative type of single photon emitter with potential electron spin qubits based on Cl impurities in ZnSe. We utilize a quantum well to increase the binding energies of donor emission and confirm single photon emission with short radiative lifetimes of 192 ps. Furthermore, we verify that the ground state of the Cl donor complex contains a single electron by observing two-electron-satellite emission, leaving the electron in higher orbital states. We also characterize the Zeeman splitting of the exciton transition by performing polarization-resolved magnetic spectroscopy on single emitters. Our results suggest single Cl impurities are suitable as a single photon source with a potential photonic interface.

Hemodynamics, the study of blood flow and circulatory forces, is fundamental for assessing cardiovascular health, disease states, and therapeutic outcomes. Here, we introduce a skin-conformable organic optoelectronic thin-film patch (ePatch) designed to simultaneously capture electrocardiography (ECG) and photoplethysmography (PPG) signals as a single hybrid signal, named the electrocardio-photoplethysmogram (EC-PPG). The ePatch integrates an organic electrochemical transistor (OECT), an organic photodiode, surface-mounted light-emitting diodes, and electrochemical electrodes on a flexible, skin-conforming substrate. By training deep learning models on the hybrid EC-PPG data, we achieved accurate arterial blood pressure estimations, with mean errors of just 1.69 mmHg for systolic and 0.89 mmHg for diastolic blood pressure, outperforming traditional predictions that rely on individual physiological signals as inputs. Our findings underscore the potential of EC-PPG as a compound hemodynamic signal for AI-driven vital sign monitoring and integrated, solution-processable soft electronics for clinical and point-of-care applications. © 2025 The Authors
