Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs) are extensively utilized in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for their various communication modes, including vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure. VANETs are equipped with certain special characteristics such as dynamic mobility, high-speed vehicles, and so on. Both the transmission models are ineffective when it is applied to the high-speed vehicles. During transmission vehicles will transfer the information to the road side unit (RSU), but RSU deployment is the most challenging task. Due to improper deployment of RSU, deployment cost of the network gets increased, end-to-end delay get increased as well as it directly reduced the performance of packet delivery ratio and throughput calculation of the network. In order to overcome these drawbacks, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are introduced in VANETs. In this paper, Collision Free Energy Efficient Multipath UAV-2-GV communication (CEM-UAVs) is proposed to improve the stability of the VANETs. This CEM-UAVs protocol is segmented into two parts;they are collision free path selection and energy efficient multipath UAV communication. Using UAVs-based data, transmission greatly reduces the delay and loss produced by the ground level traffic and congestion in the network. To analysis the performance of the proposed CEM-UAVs protocol, NS2 software is used. Four parameters are calculated to investigate the performance of the proposed CEM-UAVs protocol;they are end-to-end delay, packet delivery ratio, and number of UAVs count and throughput as well as it is compared with the earlier research works such as NC-UAVs and DP-UAVs. From the results it is proven that the proposed CEM-UAVs protocol produced 160–260 ms lower end-to-end delay, 8–10% higher packet delivery ratio, 100UAVs to 280UAVs lower UAVs count, and 1200–2000 Kbps higher throughput when compared with the earlier works NC-UAVs and DP-UAVs. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singa

In the pantograph-catenary system, the frequent occurrence of pantograph arc can alter the temperature distribution on the pantograph slide surface, directly affecting its service life. In this study, high-speed camera was used to capture images of pantograph arc, and the temperature characteristics of the DC arc were studied using the tri-colorimetric temperature measurement method. Different contact pressures and sliding speeds were considered. The arc images were captured, and the temperature characteristics were measured under varying conditions. The influence of contact pressures, sliding speeds, and pantograph slide materials on the temperature of the DC arc was investigated. The results indicate that the arc area increases with the rise of temperature after ignition;when the arc area reaches its maximum, the arc temperature gradually decreases and extinguishes at 3000K. The temperature of the pantograph arc in the pantograph ranges from 3000K to 8000K. Compared to contact pressure and sliding speed, the contact current has a more pronounced influence on the arc temperature. Studying the temperature characteristics of pantograph arc provides essential reference data for optimizing the pantograph system, improving its performance, and extending its service life. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. In the Intensive care unit (ICU) environments, patients require a continuous healthcare monitoring system to monitor their vital signs. In this paper, a new design and implementation of a smart healthcare system are described using the emerging technologies of Li-Fi and IoT. The heartbeat rate and temperature of the patient are transmitted via Li-Fi technology and then to the central nurse station. This data is uploaded to the ThingSpeak platform cloud so that the doctor can view it anywhere. This system is also provided by sending email notifications in abnormal cases. The results are divided into two parts. The first part is related to the Li-Fi technology. The system is tested for different channel statuses and ambient noise. The second part is the results of the IoT, where the results are presented on the ThinkSpeak platform and notification by Email in critical cases. The system is successfully tested on Imam Al-Sadiq Hospital-Babylon city patients. The obtained results are approved and satisfactory. © 2023 IEEE.

Solar photovoltaic (PV) arrays experience a significant surge in power losses due to Partially Shaded Conditions (PSCs). The presence of clouds, shadows from tall structures, trees, chimneys, and bird droppings can lead to these PSCs. When PV modules are shaded, they go into reverse bias, causing small hotspots to form and increase the system's overall temperature. To mitigate this issue, bypass diodes can be connected antiparallel to the PV modules, although this leads to multiple peaks in the I-V and P-V characteristics. Along with the challenges presented by hotspots, mismatch losses between different modules further, reduce the electricity output of a PV array. The research in focus is designed to evaluate, model, simulate, and analyze the effectiveness of several 4x4 PV array configurations operating under diverse PSCs. Topologies such as series-parallel, bridge-link, honeycomb, and total cross-tied (TCT) are investigated, along with different partial shading patterns like corners, centers, ends, L-shapes, frames, random, and diagonals. These investigations are grounded on the technical specifications of a 130-watt PV module.

The study investigates the challenges posed by" partial shading conditions" (PSCs) on a performance and efficiency of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The primary goal is to find the best photovoltaic array setup to optimize power output while reducing efficiency losses caused by mismatching. The researchers evaluate various PV configurations such as Series (S), Series-Parallel (SP), Total Cross Tied (TCT), Bridge Linked (BL), Honey Comb (HC), and a hybrid of TCT and BL called TCT-BL, focusing on a 4x4 array layout. Six different shading patterns are examined, including diagonal, "short and narrow", "short and wide", "long and narrow", "long and wide", and random. Based on simulations using Matlab/Simulink and a 130W PV module model, the study suggests that the TCT-BL configuration offers superior power generation, efficiency, and reduced mismatching loss compared to other configurations under most PSCs examined.

Providing quality healthcare services and promoting collaborative clinical research are easier and more efficient with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. All aspects of care are included in electronic health records. Data characterized by volume, variety, and velocity is what IBM defines as big data. Therefore, we evidently have a significant problem managing 'big EMR data' from a volume, accuracy, and velocity perspective. Data misuse and patient safety are significant risks associated with poorly implemented EMR-based systems. Storage, access, and retrieval of big data are all aspects of security to consider. Location is another important aspect of secure data use, in addition to strong access control mechanisms. Researchers are investigating secure mobile data usage based on location after recent reports of illegal trade and theft of patient data over mobile devices. To improve work flow dynamics and efficiency, healthcare facilities are increasingly using mobile devices. In spite of this, mobile devices are becoming more and more common. A new technique for preventing EMR infiltration and manipulation by hackers using the cloud is presented in this article. © 2024 IEEE.

The improvement of 5G networks started in 2019 and is commonly accepted to bring changes not restricted to individuals' day-by-day life. The interconnection between the nodes of 5G network is realized through the utilization of optical transceiver modules and optical fibers. The most interesting part in the 5G communication network is the communication between the Central Office (CO) and the Base Station (BS), which has been widely investigated by several researchers to enhance and optimize such network performance. As a result, in this paper we demonstrate, design and implemented a) based on Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM Radio over Fiber (RoF) system and by using the software of Optisystem 17.1 version. Such system is considered a 32X40 Gbps of data transmission for higher speed transmission system towards the Tera bit per second (Tbps) communication. The channels of 1, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28 and 32 were selected as samples for the investigation. The performance analysis would be based on the parameters of the eye diagram, (Quality Factor) Q-factor and Min Bit Error Rate (BER) and for distances of 60, 120 and 180 km respectively. Analyzing results indicate a higher performance system toward the 1.28 Tbps of data rate transmission. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Speed control of PMDC motors finds applications in various industries. For certain structures, the controller of Proportional, Integral and Derivative (PID) is typically the first choice because of its ease of execution and fast tuning. So, all conventional techniques and optimization stochastic for PID controller tuning provide preliminary feasible parameters for, and. This paper uses traditional PID and nonlinear PID to control the speed of the PMDC motor, which is tuned by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The methodology is demonstrated by performing simulations using the MATLAB tool. The simulation results exhibit that the role of the nonlinear PID based scheme is more robust than the traditional PID controller, as well as the speed, tracked the desired reference rabidly. © 2021 IEEE.

Internet of Things (IoT) is widely involved in environmental monitoring. IoT network has a limited energy supply which impacts the network's lifetime. At present, limited energy is a challenging factor due to limited energy availability. IoT performance is improved with the RPL routing protocol for effective route establishment. With an effective energy harvesting scheme IoT network, residual energy can be improved. Typically, energy harvesting with conventional RPL routing protocol is ineffective. To withstand the limitation associated with energy harvesting in IoT networks with the incorporation of RPL routing is essential. To achieve this, this paper presented an Energy Harvesting Ranked Whale optimization (EHRWO) is developed. Initially, the proposed model utilizes the optimal route establishment with EHRWO with improved security. The operation of EHRWO is performed for static and dynamic operation of the network. The developed work estimates the node energy, harvest energy, routing performance, and distance. Based on the optimization of the whale optimal path is estimated for the transmission of data. With a ranking based approach optimal path for data transmission will be computed. The simulation results expressed the proposed work performance of the parameters such as energy consumption and packet delivery ratio. © 2022 IEEE.

In recent years, new networking paradigms such as Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET), Flying Ad-hoc Networks (FANETs), and SEANETs have emerged as a result of Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs). UAVs are gaining popularity as they are used in large-scale real-time applications. When UAVs are linked together, they form a FANET, which works collectively and in the most efficient manner possible. FANETs are designed to be used in a wide range of missions and rapidly changing scenarios. As a result, given the nature of the applications and services used to deploy UAVs, efficient routing protocols are essential. Other routing protocols, on the other hand, have been developed to date, each with its own set of limitations. This research investigates the AODV, DSDV, and AOMDV routing protocols in the context of a FANET. In terms of delay, the DSDV exceeds the other protocols, whereas the AOMDV outperforms the others in terms of average TP and PDR. © 2022 IEEE.
