Herein,we describe a simple and efficient method to build C@MoSe_(2)@CNT composites that exhibit good electrochemical performance as anode materials for sodium-ion *** protocol uses commercially available and cheap carbon nanotubes(CNT)as the conductive *** selenide(MoSe_(2)),in-situ-synthesized from Mo-ethylene glycol(poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG,M_(n)≈200))complexes,grows along the CNT with a discontinuous morphology,which creates multiple channels for the insertion of Na^(+).Meanwhile,PEG-C provides a thin carbon coating layer to increase *** PEG-200-2-C/MoSe_(2)/CNTat room temperature,the storage at 2 A g^(-1)is 426 m A h g^(-1)after 500 cycles and 212 m A h g^(-1)after 3,000 *** with pure MoSe_(2),density functional theory calculations indicate that the Na^(+)diffusion barrier in the MoSe_(2)of C@MoSe_(2)@CNT effectively decreases from 0.91 to 0.72 e V,hence promoting the reversibility of the Na^(+)storage.

Solar power generation forecasting plays a vital role in optimizing grid management and stability, particularly in renewable energy-integrated power systems. This research paper presents a comprehensive study on solar power generation forecasting, evaluating traditional and advanced machine learning methods, including ARIMA, Exponential Smoothing, Support Vector Regression, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, and Physics-based Models. Moreover, we propose an innovative Enhanced Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model, which incorporates Weather Modulation and Leveraging Prior Forecasts to enhance prediction accuracy. The proposed model is evaluated using real-world solar power generation data, and the results demonstrate its superior performance compared to traditional methods and other machine learning approaches. The Enhanced ANN model achieves an impressive Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 0.116 and a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 36.26%. The integration of Weather Modulation allows the model to adapt to changing weather conditions, ensuring reliable forecasts even during adverse scenarios. Leveraging Prior Forecasts enables the model to capture short-term trends, reducing forecasting errors arising from abrupt weather changes. The proposed Enhanced ANN model showcases its potential as a promising tool for precise and reliable solar power generation forecasting, contributing to the efficient integration of solar energy into the power grid and advancing sustainable energy practices. © 2024 – IOS Press.

A brain tumor is an abnormal mass of cells in the brain and can cause issues by pressing on the brain or infiltrating brain tissue. Not all brain tumors are cancerous;grades 1 and 2 are benign but may recur and become malignant. Symptoms vary depending on the affected area of the brain, as different regions control different functions. Medical image processing is the need for the investigation of 3D images of the humans' internal organs, typically collected from a Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Computed Tomography, to identify disorders, assist therapeutic procedures like incision preparation and in academic research. The multiparametric MR images of individuals with low- and high-grade gliomas that were manually segregated by skilled assessors constitute up the BraTS data set. Human separation of tumors is a laborious, time-consuming process that necessitates the delineation of sections by a human expert. Segmenting gliomas using autonomous algorithms for learning has been explored as a solution to these inadequacies. For glioma segmentation, the suggested method combines artificial bee colony (ABC) optimization and adaptive fuzzy k-means clustering (AFKM) that may be readily integrated into the medical procedure. ABC optimization efficiently finds optimal initial cluster centroids, overcoming Fuzzy K-Means' limitation of poor initialization and suboptimal results. ABC optimization balances global search and local refinement for efficient clustering, while Adaptive Fuzzy K-Means dynamically adjusts clusters, with ABC fine-tuning for optimal fit. The efficacy of the suggested method was validated with the help of metric parameters. © 2024 IEEE.

Intelligent transportation systems greatly benefit from lane-changing (LC) driving behaviour when it comes to safety. Because drivers' actions are so random, it's hard to made the LC process. It is a high risk of serious accidents caused by irrational lane changes and the resulting traffic congestion. Right now, lane shifting models aren't very accurate. Therefore, very accurate lane change prediction is necessary to enhance road safety. A good lane change forecast model based on the Deep Belief Network (DBN) model has been created to learn about people's risky lane changing habits. Bayesian networks using Gaussian mixture models and back propagation neural networks are two examples of state-of-the-art methods that are contrasted with the suggested model. The Bayesian network with a Gaussian mixture model and back propagation neural network predict dangerous driving behaviour less accurately than the suggested approach. An accuracy percentage of 97.2% was achieved with the Deep Belief Network model. The outcomes implies, the suggested method is highly efficient in predicting when a driver will switch lanes. An intelligent transportation system may alert drivers of unsafe lane alterations by the suggested method. © 2024 IEEE.

The reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) is envisioned to be a key serving technology in 6G wireless systems and it is also known as smart repeater or holographic radio. RIS is fully capable of controlling the EM waves in terms of reflections, refractions, scattering, amplitudes, phases, and polarization. Its response is adaptive over time as well as network conditions. It enhances the performance of a radio system in terms of capacity, energy efficiency, security, power consumption, and coverage. In this paper, a physically realizable RIS-assisted channel model is presented which uses the spatial correlation properties of the channel. The main objective of this work is to derive the fading distribution for RIS-assisted channels, characterize their spatial channel correlation, and minimize the channel training overhead. The proposed channel estimation model minimizes the number of required pilot signals for channel estimation. The channel properties are analyzed in terms of spatial correlation matrices rank, RIS physical geometry, and channel hardening. Monte Carlo simulations have verified the analytical results. The results proved that eigenvalue distribution and rank of spatial correlated matrix are favorable for lower dimensions of RIS reflecting elements. © 2024 by Begell House, Inc.

The Sign language is a vast and complicated language with its own grammatical structures and content. It conveys message through hand forms, face emotions, and body movements. There are several sign languages around the world, each with unique characteristics. As a result, few individuals are able to understand sign language, it is impossible to communicate with the deaf-mute. The gap that exists between the deaf and normal people can be lessened with research in the field of sign language recognition (SLR). Unfortunately, with huge improvements in SLR, this type of recognition lags behind voice recognition by at least ten years. This research provides an overview of Sign Language, including movements and key approaches for identifying it. © 2024 IEEE.

High-gain converters are often used in numerous applications like fuel cells, DC micro grid, electric vehicles, and renewable energy etc. This paper proposes a novel high-gain buck-boost converter that is derived from a SEPIC. The suggested converter offers several special benefits of a SEPIC converter: buck-boost function, continuous input current, and non-inverting output. In addition, the converter has a higher gain than conventional KYBB, ZETA, and SEPIC converters. When compared to traditional SEPIC, ZETA, and NIBB converters, the suggested converter provides reduced switch voltage stress. Furthermore, the control platform is not as burdened by this converter's single switch operation. Both continuous and discontinuous conduction modes of the suggested converter's mathematical modelling, design, and thorough analysis are presented. The suggested converter's performance is contrasted with that of the ZETA, SEPIC, KYBB, and NIBB converters. Moreover, the efficiency analysis of the proposed converter is presented and found to be 94.5 % at rated power for the conversion of 36 V to 200 V. © 2024 IEEE.

Due to high reliability and easy availability of single phase supply, single phase induction motors (SPIM) are very popular for commercial as well as industrial applications. Here a capacitor start capacitor run SPIM is considered. The efficiency of the motor can be improve by reducing the harmonic content present at the input supply. Variable speed operation of SPIM can be achieved by driving the motor with an adjustable speed drive. Among the different existing driving topologies, three important topologies based on pulse width modulation (PWM) methods are identified and Simulink model for the entire system is developed. For measuring the effect of harmonics on the performance of the motor and for selecting a suitable energy efficient drive for SPIM, total harmonic distortion (THD) of the different topologies are plotted and compared. The value of THD is minimum for an energy efficient drive. From the analysis, single phase PWM inverter with half bridge rectifier drives is having minimum THD of 38.11% and is identified as an energy efficient drive for the induction motors. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
