To assist doctors more effectively in clinical diagnosis, a lightweight system using Phonocardiogram (PCG) for early detection of Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) has been developed. It employs short-time Fourier transform (STFT) and a Maxout residual network (MaxResNet) for heart valve disease recognition. Results from 10-fold cross-validation show a 99% recognition accuracy with only 0.16M parameters. Compared to Karhade et al.’s approach, this method achieves similar accuracy while reducing parameter usage by 87%. Additionally, it achieves real-time performance on Raspberry Pi, taking only 6 ms to recognize 1.1 seconds of PCG recordings.

One of the main tools used in innovation management is the adoption of technology development process models. Its main particularities, as well as its main forms of use are presented in this study based on an extensive literature review on the subject. Different models are presented. The activities of acquiring knowledge, converting ideas into a technology base or platform and later used in the design of new products, processes or services, seek to meet or even generate new market needs. In basketball game, players need to learn how to take a next appropriate action by judging various situations with surrounding players through team practice. Such decision-making capabilities in individual practice with virtual reality (VR) technologies can significantly improve the efficiency of team practice. This paper proposes a VR-based basketball team practice learning system which provides VR environments similar to the actual team practice environments by arranging players in a virtual space Proto-type application for smartphones has been developed for 3D virtualization accuracy evaluation where the smartphone is used for team practice to sense the distance between the player and surrounding VR players This paper describes the evaluation results of 3D virtualization accuracy measured by the experiments. © 2021 IEEE.

This study proposed a keyword recognition of microphone feed-in, achieving the effect of allowing users to control the real-time mixer system intelligently. The proposed system structure includes a front-end circuit to capture voice and Mel-scale Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) features in conjunction with a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm. The testing results show that the lightweight CNN model achieves a keyword recognition accuracy rate of 96.4%.

Wireless communication has connected millions of people across the world to internet to enable them to reap benefits of digital economy in present scenario. Almost all the sectors of economy including healthcare, agriculture and transportation nowadays rely largely upon wireless communications. In the present context, the sudden outbreak of Covid-19 has caused governments to impose restrictions on various activities and employees have been directed to work from their homes to ensure safety. In such a situation, wireless communication has made it possible to connect with each other via the internet. Apart from this, Smart healthcare-system has been developed through utilisation of wireless communication systems. During this pandemic situation, delivery of healthcare services in remote areas has gained huge momentum and wireless communication plays a vital role in this regard. Aim of current critical assessment is to provide an in-depth analysis of the role played by wireless communication in establishment of a well-structured digital economy in present scenario. In literature-review, different applications of wireless technology via ICT in various sectors and aspects of life have been discussed through a conceptual and a theoretical framework. The Method section of current study has provided an in-depth insight into the ways required information have been collected in this study. As found in the results and discussion section, a positive relation exists between wireless-communication and establishment of digital economy in current situation. This study has concluded that there are certain challenges associated with wireless communication;however, it has significant influence in making processes smarter and faster as compared to earlier. © 2022 IEEE.

The conventional A∗ algorithm consumes a lot of time due to its large number of iterations. In every iteration, the memory is accessed for multiple data structures, functions are evaluated then sorted into queues which makes it sometimes not suitable for real-time applications. This paper proposes a fast implementation for the A∗ algorithm to meet requirements of real-time applications. The proposed implementation uses parallelism and caching to achieve better performance. We used Register Transfer Level (RTL) simulation and formal verification to do functional verification of the implemented *** design is implemented on Xilinx Virtex-7 to be evaluated. Experiments prove that this implementation achieves 100 times enhancement for low obstacle maps and 50 times for high ones relative to software implementation. The design is suitable for real-time applications. © 2021 IEEE.

Private fifth-generation mobile communication networks (5G) have garnered considerable attention for providing various communication services. In private 5G systems, such as those employed in smart factories, it is necessary to appropriately manage the interference power among diverse systems because each nonpublic operator deploys a gNodeB in the local area and utilizes a similar allocated frequency. Several researchers have discussed the use of a radio map, which stores the spatial distribution of received signal power values as a tool for managing intra-system interference. Radio maps are typically applied to television white space, where the location of the base station (BS) is fixed and the average value of the received signal power exhibits time-invariant characteristics. However, in private 5G networks, the estimation accuracy using a conventional radio map is lowered because the location of the BS may be changed when the factory is rearranged. In this study, a database server is used to infer a significant difference in the average values of the received signal power by means of Welch's ${t}$ -test;the server then updates the radio map based on the test results. The simulation results indicate that the proposed method can detect changes in the BS location and update the radio map accurately. © 2015 IEEE.

Microsatellite instability (MSI) is a pivotal genetic marker influencing the efficacy of immunotherapy in colorectal cancer. Traditional MSI examination often requires additional genetic or immunohistochemical tests, whereas histology images, widely available in colorectal cancer diagnosis, offer a valuable alternative for MSI prediction. Although Transformer-based models have demonstrated promising outcomes in predicting MSI from histology images, they are hampered by traditional local attention mechanisms that struggle to capture long-range interdependencies and establish a comprehensive global receptive field. In this study, we introduce DiNAT-MSI, a novel framework for histology-based MSI prediction that incorporates the Dilated Neighborhood Attention Transformer (DiNAT). This model enhances global context recognition and substantially expands receptive fields, all without additional computational burden. Our results demonstrate that DiNAT-MSI achieves a superior patientwise AUROC compared to ResNet18 and Swin Transformer, along with commendable explainability. Our work not only illustrates a more accessible diagnostic tool for leveraging histological data but also underscores the potential of Transformerbased models with sophisticated attention designs in advancing precision medicine for colorectal cancer patients.

Wireless electroencephalography (EEG) systems have been attracting increasing attention in recent times. Both the number of articles discussing wireless EEG and their proportion relative to general EEG publications have increased over years. These trends indicate that wireless EEG systems could be more accessible to researchers and the research community has recognized the potential of wireless EEG systems. To explore the development and diverse applications of wireless EEG systems, this review highlights the trends in wearable and wireless EEG systems over the past decade and compares the specifications and research applications of the major wireless systems marketed by 16 companies. For each product, five parameters (number of channels, sampling rate, cost, battery life, and resolution) were assessed for comparison. Currently, these wearable and portable wireless EEG systems have three main application areas: consumer, clinical, and research. To address this multitude of options, the article also discussed the thought process to find a suitable device that meets personalization and use cases specificities. These investigations suggest that low-price and convenience are key factors for consumer applications, wireless EEG systems with FDA or CE-certification may be more suitable for clinical settings, and devices that provide raw EEG data with high-density channels are important for laboratory research. This article presents an overview of the current state of the wireless EEG systems specifications and possible applications and serves as a guide point as it is expected that more influential and novel research will cyclically promote the development of such EEG systems. © 2023 IEEE.

X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) have been used to characterize the polyimide film based on 4,4′ hexafluoro-isopropylidene -bis pthalic anhydride (HFDA) and 4,4′ -bis (4-aminophenoxy) biphenyl (APBP). Films of varying thicknesses made from diluted precursors were studied by IR and XPS. An elemental analysis and a tentative peak assignment for C 1s in XPS is presented. The HFDA-APBP thick films are stoichiometric in composition and binding energies are in good agreement with data on hexafluorodianhydride-oxydianiline (HFDA-ODA). For thinner films, certain chemical modifications were observed at high cure temperatures.
