In a basketball game, players must act appropriately according to the position and movement of the player. This needs to be learned through team practice. Therefore, if we can build an environment that allows even one person to practice as a team, the efficiency of practice can be greatly improved. It is effective to use virtual reality (VR) technology to realize team practice alone. This paper proposes a VR-based basketball team practice learning system that provides VR environments similar to the actual team practice environments by arranging players in a virtual space. Focusing on zone defense practice, which is said to be difficult to learn even in team practice, we propose a practice system for orthodox 3-2 zone tactics. In addition, because the distance between the player and the surrounding VR player is important for this system, this paper presents the evaluation result of the 3D virtualization accuracy measured by the experiment. © 2022 IEEE.

Owing to their high surface area,stable structure and easy fabrication,composite nanomaterials with encapsulation structures have attracted considerable research interest as sensing materials to detect volatile organic ***,a hydrothermal route is designed to prepare foam shapedα-MoO_(3)@SnS_(2)nanosheets that exhibit excellent sensing performance for triethylamine(TEA).The developed sensor,based onα-MoO_(3)@SnS_(2)nanosheets,displays a high response of 114.9 for 100 ppm TEA at a low working temperature of 175℃with sensitivity higher than many other reported *** addition,the device shows a wide concentration detection range(from 500 ppb to 500 ppm),good stability after exposure to air for 80 days,and excellent *** superior sensing characteristics of the developed sensor are attributed to the high crystallinity ofα-MoO_(3)/SnS_(2),excessive and accessible active sites provided by the good permeability of porous SnS_(2)shells,and the excellent conductivity of the encapsulation heterojunction ***,the foam shapedα-MoO_(3)@SnS_(2)nanosheets presented herein have promising practical applications in TEA gas sensing devices.

Unplanned seizures are caused by a disorder in the central nervous system known as epilepsy. Although significant advancements have been made in the realm of non-EEG wearable devices, there is still much room for improvement in the field of EEG-based seizure detection and prediction using ML. The management of epilepsy has a lot of promise to be aided by non-invasive wearable technology. The suggested study intends to design and implement a support vector machine (SVM) classification-based epileptic seizure detection system based on various wearable devices. The proposed technique for detecting seizures accomplishes According to data for seizure detection, our system consistently achieves a sensitivity of 100% and an accuracy of 97%. High level MATLAB model creation is part of the design cycle. Despite the fact that high performance cannot be achieved with just one signal. Although a high performance detection system cannot achieve the requisite sensitivity and accuracy with a single signal, we presented various combining techniques. RTL modelling, design optimization, FPGA implementation, and functional verification are all included in the implementation cycle. The capacity of the FPGA's partial dynamic reconfiguration is suggested for implementation in order to make better use of the available resources. Comparing the proposed implementation to relevant earlier work, it demonstrated improved utilization. © 2022 IEEE.

Biometrics based on electromyogram (EMG) and inertial measurement unit (IMU) signals has received significant attention due to its resistance to forgery and tampering, as well as its relatively higher convenience and security compared to other biometric modalities. However, most EMG and IMU signal-based authentication methods require explicit authentication using unnatural gestures, which is not userfriendly. To address this, we collected EMG and IMU data during virtual reality (VR) rhythm game play, which does not require explicit gestures, and performed implicit authentication. Using a linear discriminant analysis (LDA) classifier, we achieved classification accuracies of 91.71% for human identification and 87.91% for human authentication. The result demonstrated the feasibility of a seamless and implicit authentication in VR environments.

cyclic clean treatment by using strong oxidant: HOOH and reductant: N2H4 was developed for Cu cleaning which can be applied in the inverse hybrid metal bonding process. Compared to UHV anneal at higher temperature (415C), cyclic clean process is only performed at 340C with lower surface impurities. Also, highly selective Co ALD is deposited on metal Cu but not on SiO2 even after 1000 ALD cycles.

In this work, a novel all-textile washable metasurface antenna is designed for WBAN/WLAN and mid-band 5G applications. Initially, a circular microstrip antenna is designed to operate at 5 GHz. Its design parameters are chosen compatible with silver E-thread and polyester dielectric material. Then, metasurface structures are added to the plane of patch to enhance radiation characteristics of the antenna. Metasurface antenna is obtained by covering the top plane of the circular patch antenna with SRR (Split Ring Resonator) metamaterial that shows left-hand characteristics. The metasurface arrays consisting of 4×1 and 4×2 SRRs are placed on the antenna surface to both sides of circular patch. The performance of the antenna is verified by a full-wave electromagnetic analysis tool. The results show that metasurface arrays significantly increase gain and efficiency values of the antenna. With the designed metasurface, the efficiency has been increased from 74% to 94.5% and the antenna gain has been increased from 6.81 dBi to 9.43 dBi. © 2021 Chamber of Turkish Electrical Engineers.

A trend in the development of nanosatellite platforms for technology demonstration has increased in both private industry and academic projects. Communication link design plays a crucial role in the success of space missions, enabling efficient and reliable data transmission between satellites and ground stations. In this context, the use of advanced tools such as System Tool Kit (STK) has gained significant importance by enabling a comprehensive analysis of the technical and operational aspects of the communication link. In an effort to make the future design of the communications subsystem payload on a nanosatellite more efficient and accessible, this paper shows a methodology for the efficient use of STK to perform link analysis. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The Republic of the Philippines is confronted with rebuilding its energy landscape, which now depends heavily on imported fossil fuels for a substantial supply. The Department of Energy (DOE) has established lofty objectives to enhance the nation's renewable energy (RE) capability; nevertheless, these objectives are still to be achieved. This research supports DOE's goals by studying other possible renewable energy sources. In particular, the primary aim of this research is to examine the viability of Offshore Wind Converters (OWCs) and Wave Energy Converters (WECs) as viable sustainable energy options for the Philippines. Ocean wave converters (OWCs) provide inherent benefits in terms of dependability and have widespread societal acceptance. Conversely, wave energy converters (WECs) harness the vast energy potential contained within ocean waves. A comparative evaluation was undertaken to analyze the differences between these two potential renewable energy sources. The assessment concludes that OWCs possess a minor advantage over WECs regarding their economic viability and higher societal acceptability. It recommended that the government adopts a diversified energy portfolio, which may include the incorporation of WECs to effectively navigate the changing dynamics of the energy sector, enhance sustainability, and ensure the long-term security of the nation's energy supply.

Recently, an emerging instruction set called RISC-V has been considered a paradigm in the computer architecture domain, which has easily got the attention of the hardware community. This is because it is fully open-source, which opens wide horizons for development and innovation. As deep learning applications (DL) are becoming more common, it is very important to evaluate the processors' performance handling such tasks. In these lights, a RISC-V core performance executing a DL task is evaluated. Also, the gap between its ASIC and FPGA implementations is measured in terms of power and area. The main finding is that ASIC achieves better optimization in both aspects more than the FPGA. © 2021 IEEE.

In the current display electronics, a high-resolution pixel density and refresh rate ranging 7680 × 4320 pixels, 300 ppi, and 240 Hz are in high demand. The pixel-driving Thin–Film Transistors (TFTs) are primarily responsible for the switch in such displays. The amorphous Indium-Gallium-Zinc-Oxide (a-IGZO) TFTs are popular in realizing better high–speed properties in line to achieve those needs. In previous years, amorphous-IGZO channel TFTs in one-gate and dual-gate structures have exhibited improved gate control. In this paper, the authors present the analytical performance of double–gate tri-layer channel structure design of a-IGZO TFT with three stacked channel layers (IGZO/ITO/ITO1) to model and evaluate the device performance at different gate biasing. The proposed device simulation results were encouraging, in terms of high capacitance in dual gate bias (CDG) 26.2 nF/cm2, high mobility (µFE) 16.93 cm2/V.s, and steeper subthreshold swing (SS) 95 mV/decade. © 2023, The Authors.
