An extensive amount of attention has been paid to the implications that the detection of sarcasm on online social networks such as Facebook, X etc. could have for the reason of sarcasm detection, sentiment analysis, content regulation, and public opinion. In light of the fact that traditional methods frequently struggle to comprehend the nuances of sarcasm, there is a growing interest in more advanced methodology that make uses of network architectures and deep learning. For the purpose of identifying instances of sarcasm in X data, this study presents a novel method that combines Graph Convolutional Networks (GCNs) and node embeddings. Our solution makes use of a generalized convolutional neural network (GCN), constructs a user-word interaction network, and incorporates word2vec for initial text embedding in order to capture both textual and contextual characteristics. Using our methodology, we demonstrate that it is superior to traditional methods in terms of both accuracy and robustness. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, transformer-based photo captioning frameworks plays a crucial role in improving individuals’ overall well-being, self-reliance, and inclusivity by giving them access to visual content via written and voiced explanations. This research investigates a two-layer transformer architecture to capture extensive relationships in visual data effectively. Using a two-layer transformer design, visual attention mechanism enables the model to autonomously identify relevant regions within a picture while generating a particular word within the anticipated caption. To get the features from the images, a pre-trained Inception V3 model is used, and the feature maps are extracted from the final convolutional block. The dataset used in this research was Flick8k, Flick30k, among bespoke datasets. The model was trained on a TPU platform and implemented on a Raspberry Pi 4B graphics processing unit. To assess the efficacy of the two-layer transformer model for photo captioning, a series of experiments were undertaken using benchmark datasets and with state-of-the-art models. The quality of the generated captions was evaluated using quantitative criteria such as BLEU, BLEUR, ROUGE and F1 score. Furthermore, a series of qualitative assessments were conducted, employing human evaluators, to measure the overall coherence, and fluency of the captions. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Accurate segmentation of COVID-19 infected regions in lung CT scans with deep learning

The widespread impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has led to a severe health crisis and loss of life affecting billions of people. Detecting COVID-19 early on and distinguishing it from other illnesses is a major challenge in the pandemic. Computed tomography scans are vital for diagnosis, but they are difficult and slow for radiologists to interpret. So, deep learning technology is being used to speed up disease diagnosis, especially for COVID-19. This research employs a multi-scale feature extraction module that captures features at different scales to detect small and large structures in infection areas. The channel attention module enhances feature representation by focusing on informative channels. A bidirectional pyramid module is utilized to acquire fine-grained details and reduce spatial dimensions. The global dependencies and long-range contextual relationships among the images are captured through global and edge paths, resulting in clear and accurate images. Finally, the outputs from both modules are merged in the feature fusion Network to provide an accurate segmentation mask for COVID-19-related areas. The testing is conducted using the COVID-19 lung scan image dataset. Extensive trials are performed using standard metrics, and the output is compared with recently proposed approaches. The results demonstrate that this method achieves 98.6% accuracy, 96.54% precision, 97.52% sensitivity, 98.55% specificity, 98.59% kappa score, and an execution time of 3.2 s. These results suggest that this method performs better than other comparative methods and accurately identifies regions in the lungs affected by COVID-19. © The Author(s) 2024.

Fake news, Fake certification, and Plagiarism are the most common issues arising these days. During this COVID-19 situation, there are a lot of rumors and fake news spreading and some of us are using fake certification to avoid vaccination and plagiarism became the most common topic during online studies. It is found that several apps and websites are present for the detection of false news and plagiarism. However, there is no single website for the detection of fake certificates. Moreover, nothing is made that consists of all these features in one platform. So, this proposed work develops a website for detecting fake news, Fake certificate, and plagiarism detector. The proposed method uses Natural Language Processing techniques for detecting NPC (news, plagiarism, and certificate). The proposed work uses image processing with some Python libraries like OpenCV in all the detections and that makes it quite interesting. For detecting NPC (news, plagiarism, and certificate) the algorithm is built using a k-mean model, logistic regression, and neural network. The proposed work uses the datasets that are trained using the count vectorizer method for the detection and to get its accuracy which will be tested using machine learning algorithms. The proposed method has shown an accuracy rate of 94.28% on Logistics Regression in comparison to existing methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Nomadic Vehicular Cloud(NVC)is envisaged in this *** predo-minant aspects of NVC is,it moves along with the vehicle that initiates it and functions only with the resources of moving vehicles on the heavy traffic road without relying on any of the static infrastructure and NVC decides the initiation time of container migration using cell transmission model(CTM).Containers are used in the place of Virtual Machines(VM),as containers’features are very apt to NVC’s dynamic *** specifications of 5G NR V2X PC5 interface are applied to NVC,for the feature of not relying on the network ***-days,the peak traffic on the road and the bottlenecks due to it are inevitable,which are seen here as the benefits for VC in terms of resource availability and residual in-network *** speed range of high-end vehicles poses the issue of dis-connectivity among VC participants,that results the container migration *** the entire VC participants are on the move,to maintain proximity of the containers hosted by them,estimating their movements plays a vital *** infer the vehicle movements on the road stretch and initiate the container migration prior enough to avoid the migration failure due to vehicles dynamicity,this paper proposes to apply the CTM to the container based and 5G NR V2X enabled *** simulation results show that there is a significant increase in the success rate of vehicular cloud in terms of successful container migrations.

Smart parking occupancy detection method using smart app

Population growth in cities results in a demand for parking lots from an increasing number of automobiles, which frequently contributes to the global problem of traffic congestion. This study presents the smart parking occupancy detection system as a technique to scientifically enhance the existing parking lot, i.e., parking guidance and information method or something else, occupancy detection system. The smart app named rPark is promoted as a cutting-edge method of parking detection. Ultra-high frequency static radio frequency identification chips are placed on the asphalt and cross-examined by Radio Frequency Identification interrogator aerials over the parking areas to initially assess utilisation status. This plan eliminates the majority of the challenges associated with current up-to-the-minute parking usage identification techniques. The parking detection accuracy of rPark, which was tested and used to illustrate an experimental analysis in a real-world outdoor parking space, has been confirmed to be about 100%. The Internet of Things (IoT) facilitates the delivery of intelligent services by sensing, gathering, processing, and exchanging data from millions of linked smart devices. The Internet of Things (IoT), which is based on communication infrastructure, provides real-time cyber-physical device monitoring, control, and sensing, such as electric autos. Traditional communication infrastructure's vulnerability to cyberattacks hampered IoT's capacity to investigate these potential applications. This study proposes an algorithm for monitoring and controlling electric vehicles through the Internet of Things communication network to prevent fake data injection attacks. A state-space model depicts a fully autonomous electric car equipped with a vision system. Intelligent sensors and actuators from the Internet of Things are utilized to monitor and change system conditions, compensating for the large distance between the electric car and the control center. Sensing data is delivered from the vehicle to the central command center via an insecure, attack-prone communication path. The mean square error approach is used to derive states in the most effective state estimation system for comprehending and showing autos. A semi-definite programming approach is used to create an optimal control algorithm to manage the vehicle states. The simulation results show how precisely and successfully the proposed algorithms can foresee and regulate a vehicle's state. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). The convergence of flying objects, Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs), and Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) has been made feasible by the widespread proliferation of wireless communication technology. This study delves into the historical development and significant achievements of WSNs and MANETs, with a focus on the incorporation of drones and UAVs to enhance network capabilities. Our main goals involve conducting thorough assessments of communication protocols, routing algorithms, and network architectures in the presence of flying objects. Our particular emphasis is on maximizing energy efficiency. Examining the dynamics of flying objects in WSNs and MANETs, this analysis delves into the various challenges and opportunities that arise. A special emphasis is placed on the management of mobility, the optimization of energy usage, and the effectiveness of routing protocols. The study explores existing protocols such as LEACH, AODV and OLSR, highlighting their benefits and challenges in flying objects. A comparative analysis evaluates adapted protocols based on metrics such as energy efficiency, latency, and reliability. © 2024 IEEE.

India is a country whose primary sources of income are agriculture and farming. Varied soil in the nation enables farmers to grow a wide range of crops all year round. The agricultural industry has been the focus of in-depth investigation in the past several years due to recent technological advances, including machine learning and smart computing. The proposed work aims to develop a web application for crop selection supporting farmers and improving agricultural productivity. Various supervised machine learning classifiers are used for crop prediction based on environmental factors and soil conditions. Performance metrics are included in the evaluation of several machine learning models.
