LBLSTM observer based performance guaranteed tracking control for flying around a non-cooperative target

This paper investigates fly-around control problem for a non-cooperative space target subject to uncertain space perturbations, actuator saturation and unknown maneuvers of the target. Firstly, to provide the full state information required by prescribed performance control (PPC) method, a Lyapunov based long short-term memory (LBLSTM) observer is designed to adaptively estimate the relative motion velocity in line of sight (LOS) coordinate system. Then, based on the estimated information from LBLSTM observer, a performance guaranteed controller is developed via utilizing PPC technique. Compared with existing fly-around control methods, the key advantage of the proposed approach lies in its ability to accurately estimate the relative motion velocity without relying on prior knowledge of uncertain dynamics. This capability enables high-quality tracking control even in the presence of measurement errors and unknown maneuvers. Finally, two groups of circular and elliptical fly-around illustrative examples are organized to validate the effectiveness of the proposed control method. © 2025 COSPAR

This paper highlights the utilization of parallel control and adaptive dynamic programming(ADP) for event-triggered robust parallel optimal consensus control(ETRPOC) of uncertain nonlinear continuous-time multiagent systems(MASs).First, the parallel control system, which consists of a virtual control variable and a specific auxiliary variable obtained from the coupled Hamiltonian, allows general systems to be transformed into affine systems. Of interest is the fact that the parallel control technique's introduction provides an unprecedented perspective on eliminating the negative effects of disturbance. Then, an eventtriggered mechanism is adopted to save communication resources while ensuring the system's stability. The coupled HamiltonJacobi(HJ) equation's solution is approximated using a critic neural network(NN), whose weights are updated in response to events. Furthermore, theoretical analysis reveals that the weight estimation error is uniformly ultimately bounded(UUB). Finally,numerical simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed ETRPOC method.

Recently, the share of renewable sources in the energy mix of production units has been steadily increasing. The unpredictability of renewable sources leads to difficulties in planning, managing and controlling the electric energy system (EES). One of the ways to reduce the negative impact of unpredictable renewable sources is to predict the availability of these energy sources. Short-term forecasting of photovoltaic power plant production is one of the tools that enable greater integration of renewable energy sources into the EES. One way to gather information for the short-term forecast production model is to continuously photograph the hemisphere above the photovoltaic power plant. By processing the data contained within the images, parameters related to the current output power of the observed power plant are obtained. This paper presents a model that utilises a convolutional neural network to analyse images of the hemispherical sky above a power plant to predict the current output power of the power plant. Estimating current production is a crucial step in developing models for short-term solar forecasts. The model was specifically developed for photovoltaic power plants and is capable of achieving high accuracy in power prediction. The estimation of power production from photovoltaic power plants enables the use of next-frame prediction for short-term forecasting. © 2023, European Association for the Development of Renewable Energy, Environment and Power Quality (EA4EPQ). In this paper we focus on the target capturing problem for a swarm of agents modelled as double integrators in any finite space *** agent knows the relative position of the target and has only an estimation of its velocity and *** that the estimation errors are bounded by some known values,it is possible to design a control law that ensures that agents enter a user-defined ellipsoidal ring around the moving *** know the relative position of the other members whose distance is smaller than a common detection ***,in the case of no uncertainty about target data and homogeneous agents,we show how the swarm can reach a static configuration around the moving *** simulations are reported to show the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

Renewable Energy (RE) is a clean and green energy available worldwide. India is harvesting green energy technologies in an exponential way with solar irradiation and wind resources available. In the existing wind farms, there is a scope for generation of solar energy using photovoltaic modules in the vacant lands which are available between the wind turbines. Considering techno-commercial, land acquisition issues and right of way, the establishment of solar plants in the existing wind farms would also be a better choice. Hence, it is proposed to establish a solar power plant of 25 MW capacity in an existing wind farm of 75 MW capacity located in Coimbatore district, Tamilnadu, India by considering the wind farm layout and i) utilizing the existing step-up distribution transformers ii) by adding separate step-up transformers and iii) as a dedicated co-located solar power plant. The existing wind farm is operational, and it is decided to integrate the proposed solar power plant. The wind farm and solar power plant will be interconnected with the power grid through point of common coupling to inject the power to the grid. The solar power generation simulation has been carried out using PVsyst software. The modeling, simulation and performance evaluation of a utility scale grid-connected hybrid wind-solar power was done using ETAP software. In this paper, various possibilities for integrating solar power plants in existing wind farms have been explored, and the design of appropriate power extraction and protection schemes for the hybrid wind-solar plant has been analyzed and recommended. © 2024 IEEE.

Unidirectionally Sensitive Flexible Resistance Strain Sensor Based on AgNWs/PDMS

The flexible strain sensor has found widespread application due to its excellent flexibility, extensibility, and adaptability to various scenarios. This type of sensors face challenges in direction identification owing to strong coupling between the principal strain and transverse resistance. In this study, a silver nanowires (Ag-NWs)/polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) strain sensor was developed using a filtration method for preparing the AgNWs film, which was then combined with PDMS to create a unidirectional, highly sensitive, fast-responsive, and linear flexible strain sensor. When the grid width is 0.25 mm, the AgNWs/PDMS strain sensor demonstrates an outstanding unidirectional sensitivity, with a strain response solely along the parallel direction of the grid lines (noise ratio α ≈ 8%), and a fast reaction time of roughly 106.99 ms. In the end, this sensor’s ability to detect curvature was also demonstrated through LEDs, demonstrating its potential applications in various fields, including automotive, medical, and wearable devices. © Shanghai Jiao Tong University 2024.

At present, state controllers are used to improve the quality of mechatronic systems control. The high potential of systems with such controllers can be implemented only if automatic tuning means are available. Since tuning is performed in real time mode, which places higher demands on performance, to reduce tuning time it is proposed to use an artificial neural network. However, under interference in measuring channels, the quality of parameter identification in the controlled object is significantly lowered. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to find the optimal composition of measuring channels at the network input, making it possible to minimize the impact of interference on estimates of object parameters to improve control quality. In the present study, an algorithm is proposed to optimize the positioning of measuring channels in the task of identifying and tuning control systems. As an optimality criterion, we use the information signal-to-interference power ratio at network inputs. © 2024 IEEE.

Wireless networks such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy are currently used to provide positioning solutions in GNSS-denied environments. These systems are based on the only physical observable that can be obtained from off-the-shelf smartphones, the received signal strength (RSS), which is correlated with the transmitter-receiver distance. In addition, other effects, such as the line of vision, makes RSS measurements unstable and noisy. Thus, distance information is extracted from several consecutive measurements. However, it is challenging to extract other information from its distribution. In this work, we study RSS measurements for Wi-Fi and BLE signals to predict the visibility measurement conditions. Results show that a 90 % prediction accuracy can be achieved using machine learning tools when comparing data from the same technology and conditions. © 2023 IEEE.

In this research,a novel dynamic and heterogeneous identity based cooperative co-evolutionary algorithm(DHICCA)is proposed for addressing the distributed lot-streaming flowshop scheduling problem(DLSFSP)with the objective to minimize the makespan.A two-layer-vector representation is devised to bridge the solution space of DLSFSP and the search space of *** the evolution of DHICCA,population individuals are endowed with heterogeneous identities according to their quality,including superior individuals,ordinary individuals,and inferior individuals,which serve local exploitation,global exploration,and diversified restart,*** individuals with different identities require different evolutionary mechanisms to fully unleash their respective potentials,identity-specific evolutionary operators are devised to evolve them in a cooperative co-evolutionary *** is important to use limited population resources to solve complex optimization ***,exploitation is carried out on superior individuals by devising three exploitative operators with different intensities based on techniques of variable neighborhood,destruction-construction,and gene *** is executed on ordinary individuals by a newly constructed discrete Jaya algorithm and a probability crossover *** addition,restart is performed on inferior individuals to introduce new evolutionary individuals to the *** the cooperative co-evolution,all individuals with different identities are merged as a population again,and their identities are dynamically adjusted by new *** influence of parameters on the algorithm is investigated based on design-of-experiment and comprehensive computational experiments are used to evaluate the performance of all *** results validate the effectiveness of special designs and show that DHICCA performs more efficient than the existing state-of-the-art algorithms in solving the DLSFSP.

Utilization of waste heat is one of the most important parts of energy efficiency. There are several possibilities for this calculation, in this thesis we partly relied on the theory of similarity. The target of using waste heat is to achieve the best possible system efficiency within a complex system. Measurement of the drive motor, torque converter, inverter, battery and shaft connection must be examined together. We summarize the results of this work. © 2023 IEEE.
