More than one homogenous or heterogenous type unmanned vehicle can work in a coordinated manner and perform large-scale swarm tasks (firefighting, search and rescue, mapping, and military operations, etc.) efficiently in a shorter time by sharing tasks. Collision of these vehicles is among the most significant problems encountered during their work. The crash of the vehicles causes the vehicles to be out of duty and, accordingly, to the mission’s failure. In this study, Quadrotor-type UAVs used as agents can go to any target point by receiving location, speed, and compass information with GPS and IMU sensors. In the application, the agents’ locations were kept and updated in a list in pairs, similar to the traversing process in the Optimized Bubble Sort Algorithm. The projections of the velocity vectors on the agents’ axis (local) on a single coordinate plane are taken to determine the collision situation between these two agents that are traveling instantaneously. These global velocity vectors, whose projections are taken, are re-projected to the edge formed by these two agents in the graph and then subtracted from each other. Suppose the size of the vector is greater than the distance between two agents obtained by any GPS distance algorithm (Pythagoras, Haversine, etc.). In this case, collision is detected, and the separation process is activated. Separation is the process of advancing one agent in the opposite direction of the other until a minimum safe distance is achieved, where one agent entered by the user will not affect the other. Once the separation is complete, the agent moves to the final destination point.

Memory and other mental processes are both severely disrupted by Alzheimer's disease (AD), a neurodegenerative condition. It interferes with almost every cognitive process that the brain is capable of. This ultimately results in a smaller and less volumetric brain as time passes. There is currently no treatment that can reverse the effects of Alzheimer's disease. The only way for early detection and therapy to be possible is for the symptoms to be recognized promptly. Throughout the years, there has been a significant amount of research conducted on the application of machine learning to the diagnosis and classification of Alzheimer's disease. The performance of linear, polynomial, and RBF (Radial Basis Function) classification kernels in the context of AD classification using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) with the Principal Component Architecture (PCA) is investigated in this study. As a result, a framework is provided for the categorization of AD, which is comprised of the following steps: data input, model building, hyperparameter tuning, prediction on test data, performance evaluation, and selection of the most effective SVM kernel model and PCA for dimension reduction. ADNI and the Alzheimer's MRI Preprocessed dataset that is available on Kaggle are used to conduct an evaluation of the proposed framework. The performance of the model is evaluated using accuracy measure for both the datasets. Across both datasets, the SVM linear kernel with PCA achieved the maximum accuracy, which was 99.99 percent. © 2023 IEEE.

A DC-DC converter that can handle a lot of different power changes. The experts in this study discovered that adding a fuzzy logic circuit helped the system work better. It makes a big difference in how well and consistently the PV system works that the FLC controls the output power of the converter. Because the FLC works with Microsoft Excel, more people can use this powerful tool for less money and with less trouble. The FLC cuts down on “overshoot,” “settling time,” and steady-state error, as shown in simulations that test how well the controller works. This study may have made it easier for people to start making “fuzzy logic controllers” and make them better. This will have a big effect on how far we get in making energy systems that work better and are more stable. Further investigation could be conducted to determine whether or not these concepts are feasible and how they would enhance the FLC in different types. These DC-DC converters have closed loops in their circuitry.

MambaMOS: LiDAR-based 3D Moving Object Segmentation with Motion-aware State Space Model

LiDAR-based Moving Object Segmentation (MOS) aims to locate and segment moving objects in point clouds of the current scan using motion information from previous scans. Despite the promising results achieved by previous MOS methods, several key issues, such as the weak coupling of temporal and spatial information, still need further study. In this paper, we propose a novel LiDAR-based 3D Moving Object Segmentation with Motion-aware State Space Model, termed MambaMOS. Firstly, we develop a novel embedding module, the Time Clue Bootstrapping Embedding (TCBE), to enhance the coupling of temporal and spatial information in point clouds and alleviate the issue of overlooked temporal clues. Secondly, we introduce the Motion-aware State Space Model (MSSM) to endow the model with the capacity to understand the temporal correlations of the same object across different time steps. Specifically, MSSM emphasizes the motion states of the same object at different time steps through two distinct temporal modeling and correlation steps. We utilize an improved state space model to represent these motion differences, significantly modeling the motion states. Finally, extensive experiments on the SemanticKITTI-MOS and KITTI-Road benchmarks demonstrate that the proposed MambaMOS achieves state-of-the-art performance. Autonomous vehicles use many technologies and methods to detect and act on surrounding objects. The most common among these technologies is an algorithm called YOLO (You Only Look Once). This algorithm quickly detects objects in an image and classifies these objects accurately. This study examines the use of the YOLO algorithm for signage detection in autonomous vehicles and how this algorithm can be improved. First of all, the basic principles and working mechanisms of the YOLO algorithm are explained. Then, it is explained in detail how this algorithm can be used for plate detection in autonomous vehicles. Various models were trained using the YOLO algorithm and the data set created with real data, and the trained models were tested on real-time systems. Finally, suggestions for the improvement of the YOLO algorithm are presented and how this algorithm can be improved further in the future is discussed.

Increased usage of additive manufacturing (AM) in various industries has solidified its role as an advanced manufacturing technique. However, there is an inherent lack of reliability in AM processes, particularly common in extrusion or deposition-based methods due to the stochastic nature of ma-terial deposition. This necessitates an intelligent manufacturing solution to address the drawbacks of AM. Thus, we propose a novel layer-wise approach toward closed-loop AM, which is capable of in-situ monitoring and repairing geometric defects. In this paper, we present a system that uses a robotic AM experimental platform that mimics a conventional open-loop fabrication setup, which we augment into a closed-loop system using two add-ons: in-situ inspection subsystem and online process correction subsystem. The in-situ inspection subsystem collects 3D point cloud scans and compares them against a reference CAD model, categorizing geometric deviations as positive or negative defects. Then the subsequent online process correction subsystem uses a re-plan and/or repair strategy to address the positive and/or negative defects, respectively. To evaluate this idea, we conducted three experiments on parts with manually induced defects to investigate the system's ability to repair those parts, thereby reducing defects, improving part accuracy, and enhancing mechanical properties. Comparing the defective and repaired parts, we observe a reduction in defect percent by volume from 10.7% to 1.3%, an improvement in geometric tolerance from 3.86% error to 0.08% error, and an increase in the part's breaking load from 4.77 kN to 6.31 kN. These experiments prove that our layer-wise closed-loop additive manufacturing approach improves the quality, tolerance, and reliability of plastic 3D printed parts, with the potential to extend to other extrusion/deposition-based AM processes, or even subtractive manufacturing and hybrid manufacturing methods.

Dynamic path planning and collision prevention is one of the key tasks for autonomous vehicles in relation to dynamic movement of obstacles. In this paper, a novel hybrid approach based on integration of Slime Mold Algorithm (SMA), Triangle Inequality Principle (TIP), and Partition Method Strategy (PMS) for solution of this problem statement. The SMA algorithm is very flexible and adaptive by nature due to its biological working mechanism which is associated with TIP and PMS strategies in relation to their optimization and efficient path planning capabilities and robust solutions. This integrated module is tested in virtual environment and the results are compared with other updated algorithms such as A*, Genetic Algorithm (GA), and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for the same static and dynamic environment. It has been observed from the results that this hybrid strategy significantly improves the path planning task several times than other algorithms in terms of multiple aspects. Under testing conditions, the path length was reduced to 25% than other algorithms in a dynamic environment. During this calculation, the computational efficiency of the system has been improved to 60% than conventional methods. The chances of collision have been improved to 34.23% especially in environment where the obstacles are moving. The capability of SMA has been improved due to the synergy between TIP and PMS. The dynamic and adaptive nature of this algorithm is suitable for various applications such as search-and-rescue operations, manufacturing units’ automation and other hazardous environment exploration.

3D mapping is critical for many robotics applications, such as autonomous navigation and object manipulation. Recently, deep implicit mapping approaches have received much attention for their compactness and ability to represent fine-grained details. However, without explicit guidance, such implicit representations are often cumbersome for searching the full range on the rays to find the object surfaces. As a result, several approaches, including hierarchical sampling, occupancy grids, and zero-level set baking, have been proposed to improve sampling where costly forward passes of the neural network should be performed. However, hierarchical sampling is still suboptimal in that it requires uniform coarse samples. Discrete occupancy grids of Instant NGP and zero-level sets of various baking methods are less suitable for large and noisy real *** this paper, we present a novel framework for adaptively predicting the near-far range for sampling the query positions of the deep implicit map. For this purpose, the truncated signed distance grid for the map is pre-constructed and used to provide hints for near-far prediction during rendering. In addition, our recovery algorithm automatically detects failed near-far predictions and recovers only those rays by directly using the implicit map. We conduct extensive experiments on a synthetic dataset, a public real dataset, and a real dataset captured by our multi-camera robot system. The experimental results show that our algorithm achieves the same rendering quality with surprisingly fewer samples compared to the existing methods, which means that the robot can reason about the image and depth properties of the scene much faster. Finally, a thorough analysis of the sample distribution along the rays is provided to give a better understanding of our method’s strong efficiency, adaptability, and robustness. https://***/TSDF-sampling/

This paper presents the results of the investigation of the power supply system of the autonomous monitoring system. In particular, calculations of the system's daily balance of energy consumption were performed. Also, the question of the influence of the angle of inclination of solar converters on energy generation is considered and the necessity of collecting solar radiation during the whole daylight, not focusing on the maximum amount of energy, is substantiated. This research aimed to develop an algorithm for calculating the power supply system for autonomous monitoring systems. The proposed algorithm takes into account the coordination of diagrams of generation and consumption of energy within the autonomous monitoring station and statistical analysis of information from the NASA website. Experiments have shown the effectiveness of this method. It can be used in future design of power supply systems for autonomous monitoring stations. © 2022 IEEE.
