CLASSIFICATION OF DIABETES USING ENSEMBLE MACHINE LEARNING TECHNIQUES

Diabetes is a widespread chronic condition that impacts people all over the globe and requires a clear and timely diagnosis. Untreated diabetes leads to retinopathy, nephropathy, and damage to the nervous system. In this context, Machine Learning (ML) might be used to detect health problems early, diagnose them, and track their progress. Ensemble techniques are a promising approach that combines many classifiers to improve forecast accuracy and resilience. This study investigates the categorization of diabetes using an ensemble machine learning technique known as a voting classifier. Using a variety of classifiers, including Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM), Gradient Boost classifier (GBC), and Random Forest (RF). The predictions are aggregated using voting methods to get a final classification result. The research is carried out using two benchmarking datasets: the Pima Indian Diabetes Dataset (PIDD) and the German Dataset. The Boruta technique is used to choose the best attributes from the datasets, while the Random Over Sampling approach balances the range of classes and eliminates abnormal data using the interquartile range approach. The findings showed that the combination of the Boruta feature selection algorithm and ensemble Voting Classifier performed better for both PIDD and German datasets with an accuracy of 93% and 90% respectively. These algorithms are evaluated and the maximum accuracy is produced using the combination of the Boruta feature selection algorithm and ensemble Voting Classifier. This research helps medical professionals in the early prediction of diabetes, reducing physician’s time. © 2024 SCPE.

People’s demand for vehicles has been increasing day by day over the last few decades. A survey tells us that over 50,000 vehicles run on the roads per day. Such a large number of vehicles causes traffic. A survey tells us that over 1200 road crashes occur everyday in India out of which 25% result in deaths. Most of these accidents occur due to a lack of communication between the vehicles. This has led to the attraction of researchers towards the Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) ensuring road safety by establishing an Intelligent Transportation System (Malhi in Comput Secur 89:101664, 2020). In VANET, due to the frequent movement of vehicles and rapid variations in topology, the communication link between vehicles may break. This paper analyzes these problems and comes up with a novel approach to overcome these and maintain the performance of the protocol. In order to assess the performance metrics for the proposed protocol, an analytical model has been created. Simulations have been carried out to validate it and have been compared against similar state of comparative methods. © The Institution of Engineers (India) 2025.

Optimized graph transformer with molecule attention network based multi class attack detection framework for enhancing privacy and security in WSN

In today's rapidly evolving network landscape, cybersecurity has become increasingly crucial. However, wireless sensor networks face unique challenges due to their limited resources and diverse composition, high computational demands, diminished accuracy rates, making them susceptible to a wide array of cyber threats. To tackle these challenges, this research introduced a novel method known as Optimized Graph Transformer with Molecule Attention Network (OGTMAN) on the fusion of Secure Multi-party Computation (SMC) and differential privacy aimed at enhancing privacy and security. This approach starts with data preprocessing, employing min–max normalization to address dataset imbalances. N-Tuple Contrastive Learning with Generative transformer(N-TCLG)feature extractor distinguish between different classes of data instances and effectively learns representations that capture relevant information about network traffic patterns Further, feature selection by enhanced chi-square statistics with kepler algorithm, is utilized to assess the significance of each feature in characteristic between normal network behavior and malicious activities further refines the feature selection method by optimizing the selection criteria based on the statistical properties of the dataset. Finally, the proposed OGTMAN classifies various attacks based on their behavioural patterns with the help of enhanced ant aphid optimization with adaptive step factor. Ultimately, this fine-tuning yield superior model training outcomes, resulting more accurate attack classification outcomes. To evaluate the effectiveness of this approach, datasets encompassing with KDD Cup 99 datasets are employed. A Hybrid CT-DEWCA Based Energy-Efficient Routing Protocol for Data and Storage Nodes in Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks

Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) face significant communication and performance challenges due to their harsh and dynamic underwater environment. To address these issues, efficient and robust communication models are essential. This research proposes an energy-aware deployment approach and introduces the Controlled Transmission Enhanced by hybrid model scheme with Differential Evolution, Whale Optimization, and Chaotic Adaptation (CT-DEWCA) for relay selection. This model enhances node placement by implementing a "strategic dual transmission" approach, which employs CT for short-distance data transfer and utilizes the DEW-CA hybrid algorithm to select optimal relay nodes for long-distance communication. The strategy optimizes energy allocation between storage and regular nodes. Simulations show that the CT-DEWCA model outperforms conventional Vector-Based Forwarding (VBF), Hop-by-Hop Vector-Based Forwarding (HH-VBF), Depth-Based Routing (DBR), and, with recent work, Energy-Efficient Artificial Fish Swarm-based Clustering Cognitive Intelligence Protocol (EAFSCCIP). The results show an improvement by an average of 5.4% in packet delivery ratio, 20% reduction in cumulative energy consumption, 6% increase in throughput, and 12% lower packet‐loss rate on average compared to the other protocols. This research offers a robust solution for enhancing UWSN performance and longevity by addressing critical energy efficiency issues and reliable data transmission in underwater environments. The proposed approach demonstrates the utility and potential of bio-inspired optimization techniques to tackle the unique challenges of underwater communication networks. © 2013 IEEE.

By integrating smart grid technology with home energy management systems, households can monitor and optimise their energy consumption. This allows for more efficient use of energy resources, reducing waste and lowering energy bills. In this manuscript, a hybrid approach is proposed for smart grid home energy management with microgrids and day-ahead energy forecasts. The proposed control approach combines the Circle Search (CS) algorithm and Recalling-Enhanced Recurrent Neural Network (RERNN). Commonly it is named as CS-RERNN technique. The novelty of this paper is to optimise energy consumption and production within microgrids, thereby contributing to the overall efficiency of the smart grid system. The proposed method is used to reduce the electricity cost, peak-to-average ratio (PAR), and maximising consumer comfort. Energy management is performed based on the CS algorithm. A smart home connected to the external power grid (PG) is managed by the proposed method. Here, load demand is predicted by using RERNN. By then, the performance of the proposed method is implemented in MATLAB platform. The proposed method shows a high efficiency of 96%, and 22 $ of low electricity bill cost compared with other existing methods such as Particle swarm optimisation (PSO), Cuckoo search algorithm (CSA, and Border collie Optimisation (BCO). ©, Engineers Australia.

The Internet of Things (IoT) facilitates the delivery of intelligent services by sensing, gathering, processing, and exchanging data from millions of linked smart devices. The Internet of Things (IoT), which is based on communication infrastructure, provides real-time cyber-physical device monitoring, control, and sensing, such as electric autos. Traditional communication infrastructure's vulnerability to cyberattacks hampered IoT's capacity to investigate these potential applications. This study proposes an algorithm for monitoring and controlling electric vehicles through the Internet of Things communication network to prevent fake data injection attacks. A state-space model depicts a fully autonomous electric car equipped with a vision system. Intelligent sensors and actuators from the Internet of Things are utilized to monitor and change system conditions, compensating for the large distance between the electric car and the control center. Sensing data is delivered from the vehicle to the central command center via an insecure, attack-prone communication path. The mean square error approach is used to derive states in the most effective state estimation system for comprehending and showing autos. A semi-definite programming approach is used to create an optimal control algorithm to manage the vehicle states. The simulation results show how precisely and successfully the proposed algorithms can foresee and regulate a vehicle's state. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). An Intelligent Privacy Protection Scheme for Efficient Edge Computation Offloading in IoV

As a pivotal enabler of intelligent transportation system(ITS), Internet of vehicles(Io V) has aroused extensive attention from academia and industry. The exponential growth of computation-intensive, latency-sensitive,and privacy-aware vehicular applications in Io V result in the transformation from cloud computing to edge computing,which enables tasks to be offloaded to edge nodes(ENs) closer to vehicles for efficient execution. In ITS environment,however, due to dynamic and stochastic computation offloading requests, it is challenging to efficiently orchestrate offloading decisions for application requirements. How to accomplish complex computation offloading of vehicles while ensuring data privacy remains challenging. In this paper, we propose an intelligent computation offloading with privacy protection scheme, named COPP. In particular, an Advanced Encryption Standard-based encryption method is utilized to implement privacy protection. Furthermore, an online offloading scheme is proposed to find optimal offloading policies. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that COPP significantly outperforms benchmark schemes in the performance of both delay and energy consumption.
