This study proposes the design and analysis of an eight-way power divider for unequal division at 5.3 GHz for C-band frequency. Many transmission line pieces make up the current power divider. These transmission lines were printed on a substrate material (RT/duroid 5880, 1.6 mm thick, permittivity 2.2, and loss tangent 0.0002). The eight-way power divider’s unequal amplitudes are constructed using Taylor’s 1-parameter method to achieve the side projection levels –17 dB down as from the main beam. The proposed power divider consists of using two transmission lines with a 3/4 frequency connected to branched microstriplines, providing excellent isolation and matching between the power divider’s two output ports. This power divider is composed of three stages. A 1:2 power divider is used in the first stage, a 1:4 power divider is used in the second stage, and a 1:8 power divider is used in the third stage. According to the simulation results, 1:2 delivers half of the input power, 1:4 produces one-fourth of the power, and 1:8 delivers one-eighth of the input power. All of these assessments were done with the advanced design system (ADS) simulation program. According to both simulated and measured data, the return loss exceeds –35 dB, and the isolation across the output terminals exceeds –40 dB. The proposed circuit operates effectively at C-band frequencies in terms of return loss and isolation (4 GHz and 8 GHz). © 2025 by Begell House, Inc.

With the development of technology, the automobile has become an indispensable part of people’s daily lives. People’s needs for automobile entry systems have also changed, in automobile safety and ease of use have become more and more important. In recent years, face recognition technology has made significant progress, and face recognition technology has been widely used in various fields, especially face recognition based on deep learning has great advantages in accuracy, recognition speed, and security, and can provide a more secure and reliable way of identity verification. Traditional automobile entry systems usually use mechanical keys and remote control keys, which do not remove the key and have certain shortcomings in security and user experience. Face recognition-based car entry systems can make up for these shortcomings and provide a more convenient and intuitive user experience. Combining face recognition with automobiles is also a hot topic in current scientific research. In this paper, a set of automobile entry systems with high efficiency and security is designed according to the face recognition method research, using three deep learning models: face detection, live body detection, and face recognition. In face detection, the RetinaFace lightweight model is used the network structure is improved, and the detection speed is increased by 14.9%. For face live detection and face recognition, the MobileFaceNet lightweight network is used as the base network for live detection and face recognition, achieving a 98.9% accuracy rate on the CelebA Spoof live detection dataset. In face recognition, feature extraction is performed on the detected faces after face detection, and the recognition results are output by comparing with the recorded faces. Improvements to its network improved the recognition accuracy by 0.18%, 0.77%, and 0.73% on the LFW, CFP FP, and AgeDB30 datasets, respectively. Epileptic seizures are a common neurological disorder characterized by abnormal brain activity. Early and accurate detection of seizures plays a crucial role in effective treatment and improving the quality of life for individuals with epilepsy. This research paper proposes a innovative strategy for epileptic seizure detection utilizing a denoising autoencoder (DAE). The DAE is a feature extraction technique to enhance the discriminatory power of electroencephalogram (EEG) signals, commonly used for seizure detection. The suggested method's excellent sensitivity and specificity in correctly recognizing epileptic seizures is supported by the results of experiments. © 2024 IEEE.

As cities grow, handling traffic in big urban are-as becomes a huge proble-m. More cars on the road and not enough roads le-ad to heavy traffic jams. This increases trave-l time and harms our environment. Our study tackle-s these problems with a ne-w approach. We use real-time- lane detection with YOLOv8 and adaptable- traffic lights. Using sharp computer vision, our system pinpoints vehicle-s. It adjusts traffic light timings on-the-go to improve traffic flow. Our model works e-xtremely accurately. During the- learning phase, it achieve-d a mAP50 score of 99.3% and a mAP50-95 score of 87.4%. In the te-sting phase, it got a mAP score of 99.2% and a mAP50-95 score of 86.2%. The re-sults highlight how the system can improve city trave-l. It's valuable for city planners and traffic officials. It helps the-m understand smart transportation systems bette-r. © 2024 IEEE.

The automated design of analog circuits presents a significant challenge due to the complexity of circuit topology and parameter selection. Traditional evolutionary algorithms, such as Genetic Programming (GP), have shown potential in this domain but are often hindered by inefficient search processes and the large design space. Furthermore, fitness evaluation in the evolutionary design of circuits is often computationally very expensive. In this paper, we introduce a novel evolutionary framework that leverages approximate Shapley values to guide the optimization process in tree-based genetic programming for analog circuit design. Our approach addresses the computational challenges associated with computing Shapley values by introducing a two-stage evolutionary framework that includes a Shapley Value Library (SVlib) and a KNN-based prediction for efficient estimation of Shapley values. Our proposed work not only enhances the search efficiency by focusing on the most beneficial sub-circuits but also leads to more compact and efficient circuit designs. Furthermore, fitness evaluation in the evolutionary design of circuits is often computationally very expensive experiments, we verify that our framework accelerates evolutionary convergence and outperforms traditional methods in terms of circuit optimization. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

The paper introduces an innovative Internet of Things (IoT)-based scale sensor that measures the water level in the alternate wetting and drying (AWD) system and displays data in the mobile app to enable remote monitoring. The AWD system mainly consists of 30 cm of PVC pipe or bamboo with a diameter of 10-15 cm inserted into the paddy field, with a lower 20 cm buried in the soil and tiny holes at the bottom to allow field water to enter. The water level within the pipe indicates the field's water level, especially the underground water level. The AWD method optimizes water usage and reduces methane emissions by watering periodically and drying rice fields instead of maintaining continuous flooding. The current manual measurement process for water level needs to go to crop fields daily with a scale, which is difficult for continuous and remote monitoring. The developed scale sensor has IoT connectivity that removes the difficulties. The scale sensor works based on conductive rain sensors to precisely detect each centimeter rise or fall of water. The sensor consists of two open conductive layers that create a short circuit when the water level touches them by raising, triggering the microcontroller to register a voltage drop. The scale can measure up to 20 cm as it has 20 conductive layers, which fulfill the requirements. It has a 1 cm resolution, and in the test, it shows 95-99% accuracy. So, the sensor can effectively measure the water level in the AWD system, and further research is required to add an automatic irrigation system with the sensor so that the whole process can be controlled remotely. © 2024 IEEE.
