Visual Place Recognition (VPR) aims to robustly identify locations by leveraging image retrieval based on descriptors encoded from environmental images. However, drastic appearance changes of images captured from different viewpoints at the same location pose incoherent supervision signals for descriptor learning, which severely hinder the performance of VPR. Previous work proposes classifying images based on manually defined rules or ground truth labels for viewpoints, followed by descriptor training based on the classification results. However, not all datasets have ground truth labels of viewpoints and manually defined rules may be suboptimal, leading to degraded descriptor performance. To address these challenges, we introduce the mutual learning of viewpoint self-classification and VPR. Starting from coarse classification based on geographical coordinates, we progress to finer classification of viewpoints using simple clustering techniques. The dataset is partitioned in an unsupervised manner while simultaneously training a descriptor extractor for place recognition. Experimental results show that this approach almost perfectly partitions the dataset based on viewpoints, thus achieving mutually reinforcing effects. Our method even excels state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods that partition datasets using ground truth labels. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Due to the rising cases of Covid-19 in the world especially in Malaysia, the impact had been hit hard for many people. Due to this all people must be isolated in their home. It has affected the well-being and working life of millions of people across the world. Due to this disease, the mental health among people has increased significantly for the past 2 years. According to MoH, out of 983 Malaysian students, about 20.4%, 6.6%, and 2.8% are experienced minimal to moderate, marked to severe, and most extreme levels of anxiety, respectively. The main stressors are the remote online teaching, and uncertainty about the future regarding study and career which can affect mental health. Thus, the main objective of this project is to develop a product that may provide different medication methods to its users by helping people who suffer anxiety, stress, and depression. We used aromatherapy, positive quotes, and music therapy in order to release stress. The user can also check his or her pulse rate by only touching the fingerprint through the sensor. The microcontrollers used in this project are Arduino Uno and Arduino Mega to build the project circuit. The experimental results can improve body health, mind and spirit which enhances both physical and emotional health. © 2024 IEEE.

LOG-LIO2: A LiDAR-Inertial Odometry with Efficient Uncertainty Analysis

Uncertainty in LiDAR measurements, stemming from factors such as range sensing, is crucial for LIO (LiDAR-Inertial Odometry) systems as it affects the accurate weighting in the loss function. While recent LIO systems address uncertainty related to range sensing, the impact of incident angle on uncertainty is often overlooked by the community. Moreover, the existing uncertainty propagation methods suffer from computational inefficiency. This paper proposes a comprehensive point uncertainty model that accounts for both the uncertainties from LiDAR measurements and surface characteristics, along with an efficient local uncertainty analytical method for LiDAR-based state estimation problem. We employ a projection operator that separates the uncertainty into the ray direction and its orthogonal plane. Then, we derive incremental Jacobian matrices of eigenvalues and eigenvectors w.r.t. points, which enables a fast approximation of uncertainty propagation. This approach eliminates the requirement for redundant traversal of points, significantly reducing the time complexity of uncertainty propagation from O(n) to O(1) when a new point is added. Simulations and experiments on public datasets are conducted to validate the accuracy and efficiency of our formulations. Network failures are unavoidable and occur *** the network fails,intra-domain routing protocols deploying on the Internet need to undergo a long convergence *** this period,a large number of messages are discarded,which results in a decline in the user experience and severely affects the quality of service of Internet Service Providers(ISP).Therefore,improving the availability of intra-domain routing is a trending research question to be *** usually employs routing protection algorithms to improve intra-domain routing ***,existing routing protection schemes compute as many backup paths as possible to reduce message loss due to network failures,which increases the cost of the network and impedes the methods deployed in *** address the issues,this study proposes an efficient routing protection algorithm based on optimized network topology(ERPBONT).ERPBONT adopts the optimized network topology to calculate a backup path with the minimum path coincidence degree with the shortest path for all source ***,the backup path with the minimum path coincidence with the shortest path is described as an integer programming *** the simulated annealing algorithm ERPBONT is used to find the optimal ***,the algorithm is tested on the simulated topology and the real *** experimental results show that ERPBONT effectively reduces the path coincidence between the shortest path and the backup path,and significantly improves the routing availability.

Sensitivity Analysis and Identification Of Battery Physicochemical Model Parameters Under Different Temperature Impedances

Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are the most widely used vehicle energy storage batteries globally, and their reaction mechanism directly influences the safety and performance of energy storage systems. Simulating the actual internal state of the battery through a simulation model has become a crucial approach. Despite of the high level of physical interpretation provided by the physicochemical models of the battery, the parameterization process poses significant challenges. To investigate the changes in model parameter sensitivity at different temperatures and identify model parameters under various states of charge (SOC), impedance spectroscopy at various temperatures is analyzed in this paper to assess the sensitivity of battery model parameters. By conducting a sensitivity analysis of the model parameters, selecting highly sensitive and appropriate parameters can enhance the accuracy of the model output and prevent algorithm convergence issues. Additionally, the Gray Wolf Optimization (GWO) algorithm is utilized to identify the parameters of the battery model. The identified parameter set is then applied to the battery P2D model to simulate the impedance data. The root-mean-square error between the simulation data and the experimental data of the model is less than 2.14e-04Ω, and the average absolute error is less than 1.85e-04Ω. This method can accurately identify model parameters, resulting in high model simulation accuracy. The findings from the parameter sensitivity analysis provide valuable references for parameter identification and state estimation considering temperature effects. © 2024, The Authors. Unsupervised Domain Adaptation (UDA) aims to adapt a model trained on a labeled source domain to an unlabeled target domain by addressing the domain shift. Existing Unsupervised Domain Adaptation (UDA) methods often fall short in fully leveraging contextual information from the target domain, leading to suboptimal decision boundary separation during source and target domain alignment. To address this, we introduce GrabDAE, an innovative UDA framework designed to tackle domain shift in visual classification tasks. GrabDAE incorporates two key innovations: the Grab-Mask module, which blurs background information in target domain images, enabling the model to focus on essential, domain-relevant features through contrastive learning;and the Denoising Auto-Encoder (DAE), which enhances feature alignment by reconstructing features and filtering noise, ensuring a more robust adaptation to the target domain. These components empower GrabDAE to effectively handle unlabeled target domain data, significantly improving both classification accuracy and robustness. Extensive experiments on benchmark datasets, including VisDA-2017, OfficeHome, and Office31, demonstrate that GrabDAE consistently surpasses state-of-the-art UDA methods, setting new performance benchmarks. By tackling UDA’s critical challenges with its novel feature masking and denoising approach, GrabDAE offers both significant theoretical and practical advancements in domain adaptation. © 2024, CC BY-NC-SA.

Streaming graph processing needs to timely evaluate continuous queries. Prior systems suffer from massive redundant computations due to the irregular order of processing vertices influenced by updates. To address this issue, we propose ACGraph, a novel streaming graph processing approach for monotonic graph algorithms. It maintains dependence trees during runtime, and makes affected vertices processed in a top-to-bottom order in the hierarchy of the dependence trees, thus normalizing the state propagation order and coalescing of multiple propagation to the same vertices. Experimental results show that ACGraph reduces the number of updates by 50% on average, and achieves the speedup of 1.75~7.43× over state-of-the-art systems.

Based on the application requirements of the embedded Web server for external network access to the internal network, this paper designs and builds an embedded Web server scheme for external network access to the internal network based on the embedded Boa server and phddns program. This solution mainly transplants the Boa server and phddns program in embedded devices. Boa provides a Web server application function, and phddns software realizes the mapping and binding mapping between the IP address and the domain name of embedded devices in the intranet. An experiment is designed to test this scheme's connection success rate, response time, stable running time, domain name mapping success rate, CPU utilization and other performance indicators. The test results show that this scheme can better meet the system requirements of external network access to the internal network. Therefore, this scheme can support the information and intelligent monitoring and control of embedded devices and has good practical value and application prospects. © 2022 IEEE.

ARM TrustZone is a hardware security technology commonly used to implement the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), which is a hardware-based isolated execution environment in which security-critical software can execute without interference and is widely applied to embedded systems. Isolation of interrupts in the two security domains of TrustZone is an important security mechanism that plays a vital role in protecting the execution of the TEE. This paper introduces a formal modeling and verification approach for the interrupt isolation mechanism of the TEE based on TrustZone. We propose a model formalizing the TrustZone-based TEE system at the instruction level, which focuses on modeling system behaviors of interrupt handling and captures crucial instructions related to interrupt isolation. We formally define three types of properties for the model: correctness, safety, and information flow security. The verification results in the theorem prover Isabelle/HOL show that the model satisfies the above properties, which indicates that the interrupt isolation mechanism of TrustZone correctly enforces the isolation of interrupts and protects the TEE from being interfered with non-secure interrupts.

In 2020, the world suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic. This situation highlighted the considerable need for systems to detect viruses quickly. Providing an accurate e-health system that detects, monitors, and controls virus spread became necessary. Countries attempt to reduce the virus's spread using basic processes such as quarantine and lockdown. Early virus detection is requested to reduce the threat and decrease the propagation of the pandemic. This paper proposes an attempt to avoid speed-up spreading based on airborne virus detection. The suggested detection based on the SiNW-FET biosensor is not approved as a standardized diagnostic test. To support the airborne detection methodology, a metasurface technology based on Reflector cylindrical antenna with a sensing unit is proposed to detect viruses. The proposal considered the propagation delays and concentration of a virus. Conducted results prove that the receiver's volume is considered a primary key to an accurate detection rather than the virus's concentration.
