The relation is a semantic expression relevant to two named entities in a *** a sentence usually contains several named entities,it is essential to learn a structured sentence representation that encodes dependency information specific to the two named *** related work,graph convolutional neural networks are widely adopted to learn semantic dependencies,where a dependency tree initializes the adjacency ***,this approach has two main ***,parsing a sentence heavily relies on external toolkits,which can be ***,the dependency tree only encodes the syntactical structure of a sentence,which may not align with the relational semantic *** this paper,we propose an automatic graph learningmethod to autonomously learn a sentence’s structural *** of using a fixed adjacency matrix initialized by a dependency tree,we introduce an Adaptive Adjacency Matrix to encode the semantic dependency between *** elements of thismatrix are dynamically learned during the training process and optimized by task-relevant learning objectives,enabling the construction of task-relevant semantic dependencies within a *** model demonstrates superior performance on the TACRED and SemEval 2010 datasets,surpassing previous works by 1.3%and 0.8%,*** experimental results show that our model excels in the relation extraction task,outperforming prior models.

KubeSPT: Stateful Pod Teleportation for Service Resilience with Live Migration

Container orchestration systems, such as Kubernetes, streamline containerized application deployment. As more and more applications are being deployed in Kubernetes, there is an increasing need for rescheduling - relocating a running pod to different nodes - due to system upgrades, node failures, and load-balancing optimizations. Live migration, which transfers services from source nodes to target nodes with minimal downtime, is the ideal support for rescheduling. However, implementing live migration for pods that run stateful services is challenging, because Kubernetes manages pods as stateless. First, the current pod's network namespace initialization process causes a mismatch in the network state between the migrated pod and internal containers. Second, migrating the memory state results in extended downtime. Third, Kubernetes operations on pods do not consider preserving the state of the pods. Therefore, we propose KubeSPT to achieve live migration of stateful pods in rescheduling scenarios. Firstly, we synchronize the network state of pods and internal containers by controlling packet flow and implement fast service redirection. Secondly, we introduce a Hot data and Lazy-Restore method for memory restoration to reduce migration downtime. Finally, we decouple pod migration operations from other Kubernetes operations to ensure compatibility with live migration. Experimental results show that KubeSPT reduces downtime by 86%-93% compared to current rescheduling methods. © 2008-2012 IEEE.

Exploring implicit influence for social recommendation based on GNN

In recent years, the method of using graph neural networks (GNN) to learn users’ social influence has been widely applied to social recommendation and has shown effectiveness, but several important challenges have not been well addressed: (i) Most work fails to consider the user interests (historical user-item interactions) when first building user-user social relationships, which can make it difficult to capture accurate user embedding and thus prevent the model from better exploring the users’ social influence;(ii) Most of the current methods do not build social neighbors (with the same item-user interaction) that belong to the item and do not aggregate information from the perspective of social neighbors, which makes it possible for the item to lose a lot of details when expressing the user’s interest factors. Therefore, to address the above challenges, we propose Exploring Implicit Influence for Social Recommendation Based on GNN (EIIGNN). First, we construct the initial user embedding with user-item interaction information and use the implicit modeling module in user modeling to explore the implicit influence of interest factors on users. In addition, EIIGNN models the social graph structure of item (an item-item graph) so that item can aggregate information from the perspective of their social neighbors, which helps the model learn a more accurate representation of the item. Finally, extensive experimental results on two real-world datasets clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of EIIGNN. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

As the scale of the networks continually expands,the detection of distributed denial of service(DDoS)attacks has become increasingly *** propose an intelligent detection model named IGED by using improved generalized entropy and deep neural network(DNN).The initial detection is based on improved generalized entropy to filter out as much normal traffic as possible,thereby reducing data *** the fine detection is based on DNN to perform precise DDoS detection on the filtered suspicious traffic,enhancing the neural network’s generalization *** results show that the proposed method can efficiently distinguish normal traffic from DDoS *** with the benchmark methods,our method reaches 99.9%on low-rate DDoS(LDDoS),flooded DDoS and CICDDoS2019 datasets in terms of both accuracy and efficiency in identifying attack flows while reducing the time by 17%,31%and 8%.

data race is one of the most important concurrent anomalies in multi-threaded *** con-straint-based techniques are leveraged into race detection,which is able to find all the races that can be found by any oth-er sound race ***,this constraint-based approach has serious limitations on helping programmers analyze and understand data ***,it may report a large number of false positives due to the unrecognized dataflow propa-gation of the ***,it recommends a wide range of thread context switches to schedule the reported race(in-cluding the false one)whenever this race is exposed during the constraint-solving *** ad hoc recommendation imposes too many context switches,which complicates the data race *** address these two limitations in the state-of-the-art constraint-based race detection,this paper proposes DFTracker,an improved constraint-based race detec-tor to recommend each data race with minimal thread context ***,we reduce the false positives by ana-lyzing and tracking the dataflow in the *** this means,DFTracker thus reduces the unnecessary analysis of false race *** further propose a novel algorithm to recommend an effective race schedule with minimal thread con-text switches for each data *** experimental results on the real applications demonstrate that 1)without removing any true data race,DFTracker effectively prunes false positives by 68%in comparison with the state-of-the-art constraint-based race detector;2)DFTracker recommends as low as 2.6-8.3(4.7 on average)thread context switches per data race in the real world,which is 81.6%fewer context switches per data race than the state-of-the-art constraint based race ***,DFTracker can be used as an effective tool to understand the data race for programmers.

A Method for Fast Feature Selection Utilizing Cross-Similarity within the Context of Fuzzy Relations

Feature selection methods rooted in rough sets confront two notable limitations:their high computa-tional complexity and sensitivity to noise,rendering them impractical for managing large-scale and noisy *** primary issue stems from these methods’undue reliance on all *** overcome these challenges,we introduce the concept of cross-similarity grounded in a robust fuzzy relation and design a rapid and robust feature selection ***,we construct a robust fuzzy relation by introducing a truncation ***,based on this fuzzy relation,we propose the concept of cross-similarity,which emphasizes the sample-to-sample similarity relations that uniquely determine feature importance,rather than considering all such relations *** studying the manifestations and properties of cross-similarity across different fuzzy granularities,we propose a forward greedy feature selection algorithm that leverages cross-similarity as the foundation for information *** algorithm significantly reduces the time complexity from O(m2n2)to O(mn2).Experimental findings reveal that the average runtime of five state-of-the-art comparison algorithms is roughly 3.7 times longer than our algorithm,while our algorithm achieves an average accuracy that surpasses those of the five comparison algorithms by approximately 3.52%.This underscores the effectiveness of our *** paper paves the way for applying feature selection algorithms grounded in fuzzy rough sets to large-scale gene datasets.

Computer vision(CV)algorithms have been extensively used for a myriad of applications *** the multimedia data are generally well-formatted and regular,it is beneficial to leverage the massive parallel processing power of the underlying platform to improve the performances of CV *** Instruction Multiple data(SIMD)instructions,capable of conducting the same operation on multiple data items in a single instruction,are extensively employed to improve the efficiency of CV *** this paper,we evaluate the power and effectiveness of RISC-V vector extension(RV-V)on typical CV algorithms,such as Gray Scale,Mean Filter,and Edge *** our examinations,we show that compared with the baseline OpenCV implementation using scalar instructions,the equivalent implementations using the RV-V(version 0.8)can reduce the instruction count of the same CV algorithm up to 24x,when processing the same input ***,the actual performances improvement measured by the cycle counts is highly related with the specific implementation of the underlying RV-V *** our evaluation,by using the vector co-processor(with eight execution lanes)of Xuantie C906,vector-version CV algorithms averagely exhibit up to 2.98x performances speedups compared with their scalar counterparts.

Job Resumes Recommendation using Integration of Fuzzy Discernibility Matrix Feature Selection and Convolutional Neural Network Multi-label Text Classification

The manual analysis of job resumes poses specific challenges, including the time-intensive process and the high likelihood of human error, emphasizing the need for automation in content-based recommendations. Recent advancements in deep learning, particularly Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for Multi-label Text Classification (MLTC), offer a promising solution for addressing these challenges through artificial intelligence. While CNN is renowned for its robust feature extraction capabilities, it faces specific challenges such as managing high-dimensional data and poor data interpretability. To address these limitations, this study employs the Fuzzy Discernibility Matrix (FDM) feature selection technique to determine the relevance of skills for each job vacancy. FDM assigns weights to the features of each job category and ranks their relevance based on the highest scores, which are then utilized in the MLTC CNN model. The integration of FDM and MLTC CNN serves as the foundation for generating content-based recommendations derived from key features in job resumes. This study produces a content-based job recommendation system that displays the top three job categories, accompanied by explanations of the skills supporting each selected category. These recommendations also consider cosine similarity values between analyzed items and the integrated results of FDM and MLTC CNN. The application of FDM for feature weighting has been proven to enhance multi-label text classification outcomes by providing better insights during the feature selection process. With a recall of 97.26%, precision of 94.81%, and accuracy of 98.58%, the MLTC model integrating FDM feature selection and CNN demonstrates robust performance characteristics in content-based job recommendation tasks. © 2025 Slovene Society Informatika.
