Traditional unlearnable strategies have been proposed to prevent unauthorized users from training on the 2D image data. With more 3D point cloud data containing sensitivity information, unauthorized usage of this new type data has also become a serious concern. To address this, we propose the first integral unlearnable framework for 3D point clouds including two processes: (i) we propose an unlearnable data protection scheme, involving a class-wise setting established by a category-adaptive allocation strategy and multi-transformations assigned to samples;(ii) we propose a data restoration scheme that utilizes class-wise inverse matrix transformation, thus enabling authorized-only training for unlearnable data. This restoration process is a practical issue overlooked in most existing unlearnable literature, i.e., even authorized users struggle to gain knowledge from 3D unlearnable data. Both theoretical and empirical results (including 6 datasets, 16 models, and 2 tasks) demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed unlearnable framework. Cloud-based AI services offer numerous benefits but also introduce vulnerabilities, allowing for tampering with deployed DNN models, ranging from injecting malicious behaviors to reducing computing resources. Fingerprint samples are generated to query models to detect such tampering. In this paper, we present Intersecting-Boundary-Sensitive Fingerprinting (IBSF), a novel method for black-box integrity verification of DNN models using only top-1 labels. Recognizing that tampering with a model alters its decision boundary, IBSF crafts fingerprint samples from normal samples by maximizing the partial Shannon entropy of a selected subset of categories to position the fingerprint samples near decision boundaries where the categories in the subset intersect. These fingerprint samples are almost indistinguishable from their source samples. We theoretically establish and confirm experimentally that these fingerprint samples' expected sensitivity to tampering increases with the cardinality of the subset. Extensive evaluation demonstrates that IBSF surpasses existing state-of-the-art fingerprinting methods, particularly with larger subset cardinality, establishing its state-of-the-art performance in black-box tampering detection using only top-1 labels. Intelligent electronic devices(IEDs)are interconnected via communication networks and play pivotal roles in transmitting grid-related operational data and executing control *** the context of the heightened security challenges within smart grids,IEDs pose significant risks due to inherent hardware and software vulner-abilities,as well as the openness and vulnerability of communication *** grid security,distinct from traditional internet security,mainly relies on monitoring network security events at the platform layer,lacking an effective assessment mechanism for ***,we incorporate considerations for both cyber-attacks and physical faults,presenting security assessment indicators and methods specifically tailored for ***,we outline the security monitoring technology for IEDs,considering the necessary data sources for their security ***,we classify IEDs and establish a comprehensive security monitoring index system,incorporating factors such as running states,network traffic,and abnormal *** index system contains 18 indicators in 3 ***,we elucidate quantitative methods for various indicators and propose a hybrid security assessment method known as GRCW-hybrid,combining grey relational analysis(GRA),analytic hierarchy process(AHP),and entropy weight method(EWM).According to the proposed assessment method,the security risk level of IEDs can be graded into 6 levels,namely 0,1,2,3,4,and *** higher the level,the greater the security ***,we assess and simulate 15 scenarios in 3 categories,which are based on monitoring indicators and real-world situations encountered by *** results show that calculated security risk level based on the proposed assessment method are consistent with actual ***,the reasonableness and effectiveness of the proposed index system and assessment method are validated.

Digital transformation (DT) is an essential need for Higher Education Institution (HEI) in the era of modern technology to improve the quality of education and operational efficiency. This research develops a DT model using Object-Process Methodology (OPM), which integrates objects and processes into a single structured framework. This research utilized the results of a systematic literature review that had been carried out in previous studies to identify key components and challenges in DT. In detail, the OPM model was developed to map the interactions between technology infrastructure, business processes, human resources, and change management. Further, the model validation was conducted through three experts’ judgments. Therefore, the results show that our OPM model helps HEI to plan and implement DT strategies more effectively, improving the efficiency and quality of education. Hence, the author encourages HEI to use OPM model like in this study as a strategy to implement DT. © 2024 IEEE.

As a crucial member of the evolutionary computation (EC), ant colony optimization (ACO) converges to the optimal result through a continuous process of iterative optimization. However, determining the convergence status of an ant colony remains a challenging task without well-established methods. To this end, this paper proposes a global evaluation indicator - average absolute eigenvalue of pheromone matrix (AAEPM) by constructing a pheromone matrix and analyzing its eigenvalue variations. This indicator aims to assess the convergence status of the ant colony during the evolutionary process. Experimental results show that the AAEPM is correlated with the convergence status of ACO and is not significantly influenced by algorithm parameters and problem scale. © 2024 IEEE.

Stable learning aims to learn a model that generalizes well to arbitrary unseen target domain by leveraging a single source domain. Recent advances in stable learning have focused on balancing the distribution of confounders for each feature to eliminate spurious correlations. However, previous studies treat all features equally without considering the difficulties of confounder balancing associated with different features, and regard irrelevant features as confounders, deteriorating generalization performance. To tackle these issues, this article proposes a novel triplex learning (TriL) based stable learning algorithm, which performs sample reweighting, causal feature selection, and representation learning to remove spurious correlations. Specifically, first, TriL adaptively assigns weights to the confounder balancing term of each feature in accordance with the difficulties of confounder balancing, and aligns the confounder distribution of each feature by learning a group of sample weights. Second, TriL integrates the sample weights into a weighted cross-entropy model to compute causal effects of features for excluding irrelevant features from the confounder set. Finally, TriL relearns a set of sample weights and uses them to guide a new supervised dual-autoencoder containing two classifiers to learn feature representations. TriL forces the results of two classifiers to remain consistent for removing spurious correlations by using a cross-classifier consistency regularization. Extensive experiments on synthetic and two real-world datasets show the superiority of TriL compared with seven methods. © 2024 IEEE.

The proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and ubiquitous connectivity has led to uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) playing key role as edge servers, revolutionizing the wireless communications landscape by facilitating computing and caching resources closer to ground users (GUs). This advancement significantly alleviates core network loads, reduces latency, and guarantees content availability even in congested or remote areas. However, jointly optimizing UAV caching strategies and trajectories gives rise to a multi-task optimization (MTO) problem. This paper introduces a novel multi-task geo-temporal caching (MT-GTC) framework that addresses the interplay between UAV caching mechanisms and trajectory optimization in a cohesive manner. Leveraging a proposed multi-task learning (MTL) model for joint optimization of UAV caching and trajectory design, we develop a federated learning cloud-assisted knowledge distillation (FL-CAKD) scheme to preserve data privacy and adapt to data heterogeneity. FL-CAKD transfers knowledge from a cloud model orchestrator (CMO), which houses a large and sophisticated teacher model, to a lightweight on-device MTL student models using soft target distributions instead of large model parameters, significantly reducing communication costs. MT-GTC optimizes caching and trajectories to maximize cache hits and minimize latency. Evaluations on real-world mobility datasets demonstrate up to 95% cache hit rates and 21% lower delays compared to baselines. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Air Pollution Monitoring By Integrating Local and Global Information in Self-Adaptive Multiscale Transform Domain

As the deadliest form of pollution, air pollution had a prolonged severe damage to the human health and life safety of nearly 99% of the world's population. Facing to the problem that billions of tons of pollutants discharged into the air per year by industrial activities, this paper proposed a novel image-based air pollution monitor (IAPM) by incorporating local and global information in the self-adaptive multiscale transform domain, so as to achieve the timely and effective leakage detection of typical air pollutants from a single image. To be specific, this paper first developed a screen-shaped module according to two significant findings in visual neuroscience, which include the high sensitivity of human eyes to horizontal and vertical stimuli and the center-surround inhibition, by designing and fusing the square module, horizontal strip module and vertical strip module parallelly for simulating the behaviour of human eyes to extract local features. Second, the learnable weights and proportional mapping were applied to incorporate the screen-shaped module and lightweight vision transformer as backbone, towards more richly exploiting and fusing local and global information just as the way a brain perceives external stimuli. Third, a new self-adaptive multiscale transform domain method was devised based on two motivations from the visual characteristics of multiscale perception and the brain characteristics of self-adaptive domain transform to modify the backbone by using the operations of pooling and pointwise convolution. Extensive experiments implemented on the datasets of carbon particulate matters and ethylene leakage confirmed the superior monitoring performance of the proposed IAPM model beyond the state-of-the-art (SOTA) peers by an accuracy gain of about 4%. Furthermore, the proposed IAPM model only required 0.089 GFLOPs and 0.15 million model parameters, remarkably outperforming SOTA competitors in computational efficiency and storage resources. © 1999-2
