Medical image segmentation is an important task in the field of medical image processing, and deep learning-based methods have made significant progress in this area. However, traditional segmentation models have limitations when dealing with complex and diverse medical images, and they lack interactivity. To overcome these limitations, the SAM adapter is introduced into the SAM algorithm to provide greater flexibility and scalability. We also introduce an object detection interactive algorithm to enhance the interactivity of the model. The SAM adapter allows for customized model adjustments to adapt to different medical image segmentation tasks and datasets. By finetuning the SAM adapter using the AdaLORA method, we propose the AdaSAMed algorithm, which enables researchers to conveniently develop adaptive and accurate segmentation models, thus promoting further advancement in medical image segmentation of gastrointestinal tumors.

In this study, unidentified flying machines are built with real-time monitoring in mid-course settings for obstacle avoidance in mind. The majority of the currently available methods are implemented as comprehensive monitoring systems, with significant success in monitored applications like bridges, railways, etc. So, the predicted model is developed exclusively for specific monitoring settings, as opposed to the broad conditions that are used by the current approaches. Also, in the design model, the first steps are taken by limiting the procedure to specific heights, and the input thrust that is provided for take up operation is kept to a minimum. Due to the improved altitudes, the velocity and acceleration units have been cranked up on purpose, making it possible to sidestep intact objects. In addition, Advanced Image Mapping Localization (AIML) is used to carry out the implementation process, which identifies stable sites at the correct rotation angle. Besides, Cyphal protocol integration improves the security of the data-gathering process by transmitting information gathered from sensing devices. The suggested system is put to the test across five different case studies, where the designed Unmanned aerial vehicle can able to detect 25 obstacles in the narrow paths in considered routs but existing approach can able to identify only 14 obstacle in the same routes.

Medical images are private integrations comprising private patient information owned by various hospitals and relevant research institutes, and the generated image data can be utilized to infer physical health conditions. In recent years, more and more AI researchers have used medical images as datasets for their analysis purposes, which will cause relevant personnel to worry about their privacy. As a distributed machine learning framework, federated learning can effectively solve the problem of data privacy. It participates in and completes model training without sharing personal data, with strong universality and good results. In this work, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen (X-Ray) as well as other typical medical imaging modes are used as research objects to summarize, analyze and look forward to the previous work related to federal learning in the field of medical image analysis. On the one hand, this survey classifies and compares the existing federal learning framework and algorithm for different medical image datasets;on the other hand, it discusses the relevant federal studies that are widely used in medical images, analyses the problems that need to be solved in the field of medical images, and looks forward to future studies. © 2023, The Authors. The localization of image splicing involves identifying pixels in an image that have been spliced from other images, necessitating the discernment of splicing features. Despite significant advancements driven by the rise of social media and deep learning, existing methods exhibit limitations, often neglecting the integration of coarse and precise features and lacking the ability to understand objects. This leads to erroneous predictions in identifying spliced regions. This paper proposes Segment Anything Model with Integrated Compression and Edge artifacts (SAM-ICE) for the localization of image splicing, addressing these limitations by fusing forged edge features and compression artifact features. Leveraging SAM’s object understanding ability, our method identifies spliced regions using the fused features as guidance. Specifically, we employ Edge Artifact Extractor (EAE) to extract fine high-frequency edge splicing features and Compression Artifact Extractor (CAE) to extract coarse compression artifact features. By combining these features, our method utilizes coarse-fine features to accurately pinpoint the spliced portions of the image. Experimental results demonstrate the superior accuracy, robustness, and generalizability of our method compared to the state-of-the-arts.

In the field of binocular stereo matching, remarkable progress has been made by iterative methods like RAFT-Stereo and CREStereo. However, most of these methods lose information during the iterative process, making it difficult to generate more detailed difference maps that take full advantage of high-frequency information. We propose the Decouple module to alleviate the problem of data coupling and allow features containing subtle details to transfer across the iterations which proves to alleviate the problem significantly in the ablations. To further capture high-frequency details, we propose a Normalization Refinement module that unifies the disparities as a proportion of the disparities over the width of the image, which address the problem of module failure in cross-domain scenarios. Further, with the above improvements, the ResNet-like feature extractor that has not been changed for years becomes a bottleneck. Towards this end, we proposed a multi-scale and multi-stage feature extractor that introduces the channel-wise self-attention mechanism which greatly addresses this bottleneck. Our method (DLNR) ranks 1st on the Middlebury leaderboard, significantly outperforming the next best method by 13.04%. Our method also achieves SOTA performance on the KITTI-2015 benchmark for D1-fg. To solve the problem that a large number of noise labels lead to the reduction of the efficiency of existing aggregation Algorithmic efficiency and the difficulty of extending existing methods to the privacy protection framework, a noise label oriented privacy protection Federated learning aggregation algorithm PP-ASNL is proposed. This algorithm is mainly divided into two parts: a client-side noise label sample detection model and a server-side model rating aggregation mechanism. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has higher model accuracy and Rate of convergence than the existing methods.

How can we test AI performance? This question seems trivial, but it isn't. Standard benchmarks often have problems such as in-distribution and small-size test sets, oversimplified metrics, unfair comparisons, and short-term outcome pressure. As a consequence, good performance on standard benchmarks does not guarantee success in real-world scenarios. To address these problems, we present Touchstone, a large-scale collaborative segmentation benchmark of 9 types of abdominal organs. This benchmark is based on 5,195 training CT scans from 76 hospitals around the world and 5,903 testing CT scans from 11 additional hospitals. This diverse test set enhances the statistical significance of benchmark results and rigorously evaluates AI algorithms across out-of-distribution scenarios. We invited 14 inventors of 19 AI algorithms to train their algorithms, while our team, as a third party, independently evaluated these algorithms. In addition, we also evaluated pre-existing AI frameworks—which, differing from algorithms, are more flexible and can support different algorithms—including MONAI from NVIDIA, nnU-Net from DKFZ, and numerous other open-source frameworks. We are committed to expanding this benchmark to encourage more innovation of AI algorithms for the medical domain.

Considering the tumor aggressive nature and the significant changes in anatomical structure, aligning the preoperative and follow up scans of glioma patients remains a challenge due to the presence of regions with absent correspondence. To address this challenge, this work proposed a novel bidirectional unsupervised deformable image registration framework for image pairs with missing correspondence based on an auxiliary-image-aided intensity-consistency constraint (ICC) strategy. Specifically, for any fixed and moving image pairs, we introduced an auxiliary image and warped it directly to fixed/moving image or warped it twice through a transition of moving/fixed image. By comparing the difference between these warped images, the weighting maps to identify and exclude regions with absent correspondence between fixed and moving image pairs can be generated. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed framework, we combined it with several deep learning-based registration models and tested it on BraTS-Reg challenge dataset, the results demonstrated that the proposed ICC strategy can improve the registration performance for all the models, with the improvement of average target registration error (TRE) and success rate (SR) being up to 44.9% and 66.7%, respectively. Comparing against the best existing forward-backward consistency strategy for dealing with missing correspondence registration, our auxiliary-image-aided ICC strategy can also decrease average TRE by 2.9%, demonstrating the superiority of the proposed framework. The present work is not limited to the glioma images, it can be used to address the registration problems for any image pairs with absent correspondence or inconsistent intensity.

Edge computing has emerged as a killer technology for a hyper-connected world due to its distributed architecture and customer-proximity property. Combined edge nodes with the cloud data center, a cloud-edge computing paradigm is formed, whose resource ecosystem calls for competitive pricing and optimal resource allocation. However, it is not feasible to realize global information-based optimization since some information is kept private to their owners. To solve this challenge, this paper develops the user-independent hierarchical reverse game and the user-assisted hierarchical reverse game to depict the relationship among the resource provider, the resource tenant, and the resource user. The aim is to seek the optimal strategies for players without revealing any private information. The common trait of both games is to force the players to report the optimal strategies based on their actual private information. This salient trait can produce privacy-preservation optimization since there is no requirement for the players to release their individual information directly, and the optimal strategies of other players can be deduced naturally. The difference between the user-independent hierarchical reverse game and the user-assisted one is that the game rules are stipulated entirely by the provider and the tenants (edge nodes) in the former, while some game rules can be customized according to the advice of users in the latter. This leads the user-independent hierarchical reverse game is more concise and easy to guarantee the incentive compatibility constraint, while the user-assisted hierarchical reverse game can attract more users since the game rules can adapt to their economic status, requirements, and preferences. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Metabolic engineering for biomass production using microorganisms’ cell has received considerable attention in recent years. This is due to the biomass products being extensively used in the field of food additives, supplements, pharmaceuticals, and polymer materials. In this paper, ethanol production in Escherichia coli (E. coli) is the desired product. Sugarcane and corn are often used to produce ethanol. However, one of the problems to produce adequate amounts of ethanol is that large areas are needed to plant sugarcane and corn. Furthermore, the amount of time for the process of dry milling and wet milling is high, which are 40 to 50 hours and 24 to 48 hours, respectively. The wet laboratory is also having limitation on the production of ethanol in microorganisms because the amount of the ethanol produced is not satisfying. Hence, a lot of metabolic engineering techniques is introduced to enhance the production of ethanol in E. coli, such as gene knockout strategy, but the production is yet to meet the demand. Therefore, this paper proposes a hybrid algorithm of Particle Swarm Optimization with the Artificial Bee Colony algorithm (PSOABC) to identify the optimal set of gene knockout strategy to improve the ethanol production in E. coli. A list of genes to knockout, production of the desired product, and growth rate are presented in this paper. PSOABC has shown better performance in terms of production, growth rate and accuracy.
