The article analyses the model of behavior of the Russian participants of volunteer computing (VC) using platform BOINC. In contrast to the literature data based on sociological surveys our study based on clustering technique shows that the thematic preferences are deceive of the Russian participants of VC motives. And practically there is no any effect on the behavior of a team or individual activity, quantitatively expressed as crédits. Copyright © by the paper's authors. We consider three types of set-systems that have interesting applica-tions in algebraic combinatorics and representation theory: Maximal collections of the so-called strongly separated, weakly separated, and chord separated subsets of a set [n] = {1, 2, . . . , n}. These collections are known to admit nice geomet-ric interpretations;namely, they are bijective, respectively, to rhombus tilings on the zonogon Z(n, 2), combined tilings on Z(n, 2), and fine zonotopal tilings (or "cubillages") on the 3-dimensional zonotope Z(n, 3). We describe interrela-tions between these three types of set-systems in 2[n], by studying interrelations between their geometric models. In particular, we completely characterize the sets of rhombus and combined tilings properly embeddable in a fixed cubillage, explain that they form distributive lattices, give efficient methods of extending a given rhombus or combined tiling to a cubillage, and etcS.05E10, 05B45 Copyright © 2018, The Authors. Gravitation fields approximation for some kinds of small celestial bodies on the base field of four attracting centers

The paper discusses the approximation of the potential of small celestial bodies with irregular mass distribution among four mass points. Examples of Geographos asteroid (1620) and Churyumov-Gerasimenko comet (67P) are used to illustrate the calculation of such potential approximations limitations values on the surface of those celestial bodies. Distribution of the values is depicted on six projections of the bodies onto three mutually perpendicular planes. Also points of surfaces in which approximated values of potential reach absolute minimum and maximum are shown.

On fusion schemes for multiclass object classification with reject in a given ensemble of sources

Given ensemble of the different modality sources, we investigated two data fusion schemes for constructing metric-based multiclass classifiers with a reject option. The decisions made for the composite objects given by the collections of the source objects of the same class with one object per each source. The fusion schemes are based on using different compositions. The first scheme uses the composition of the decisions on the objects of the individual sources and this scheme is known as the fusion by the weighted majority vote or WMV scheme. The second scheme uses the composition in a form of the general dissimilarity measure between any pair of the composite objects. This scheme is original and it is called by GDM scheme. We constructed multiclass classifiers as the appropriate collections of NN or SVM elementary 'class-vs-all' classifiers. We performed classification experiments in the ensemble of decorrelated components of face RGB images. We shown that GDM scheme gives fewer error rates with respect to WMV scheme.

Numerical 3-d model experiments on global climate sensitivity to solar constant variations

The aim of the study is to show an important role of the solar radiation flux in positive feedback 'temperature - surface albedo' during the transition to glaciation regimes observed in the history of the Earth. The study is based on a three-dimensional hydrodynamic global climate coupled model, including ocean model with real depths and continents configuration, sea ice evolution model and energy - moisture balance atmosphere model. A series of numerical experiments were carried out to assess the impact of changes in solar radiation flux on the global climate. It is assumed that the solar constant gradually decreases discretely compared to the current value and in each case is determined the steady climatic mode. Simulation period is about 2000 years. Gradual increase in the sea ice area and a catastrophic increase at the end of stage 3, when the oceans are completely covered with ice (so called 'snow ball Earth') are get. These results are naturally explained by the presence of the 'temperature decrease - glaciation' positive feedback. The stage 3 maximum surface air temperature is -30° C, the minimum -80°C. Strong temperature and ice cover changes lead to significant changes in the horizontal and vertical thermohaline ocean circulation. The vertical thermohaline circulation has the weakened horizontal velocities in the north direction in the ocean upper layers and increased in the direction of the equator in the deep layers (in contrast to the present situation). This paper presents an approach to solving control problems of heat processes with phase transitions. It is based on the simultaneous use of three basic elements. First, the statement of a boundary value problem, that describes the process of heat transfer, is reformulated in terms of enthalpy. The second element is a special iterative algorithm for solving nonlinear systems of finite-difference equations obtained as a result of approximation of the initial-boundary value problem. The third element of the proposed approach is connected with the fact that the gradient of the cost function of the optimal control problem is calculated using the Fast Automatic Differentiation technique. The above-indicated approach is illustrated here by solving the problem of controlling the interface evolution in the process of molten metal crystallization in casting. The underlying mathematical model of the process is based on a three-dimensional non-stationary two-phase initial-boundary value problem of the Stefan type. The controls are determined numerically by solving the optimal control problems with the help of gradient optimization methods.

Modeling of global and regional climate response to solar radiation management

Global warming climate changes are observed in recent decades. These changes largely associated with anthropogenic increases in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The problem and opportunity of the global climate stabilization at a current level by means of geoengineering methods are investigated. The study is based on a three-dimensional hydrodynamic global climate coupled model, including ocean model with real depths and continents configuration, sea ice evolution model and energy and moisture balance atmosphere model. The climate prediction calculations up to the year 2100, using different CO2 growth scenario are carried out on the first stage. A series of numerical experiments were carried out to assess the possibility of climate stabilization at the level of the year 2010 by controlling emissions into the stratosphere of aerosol, reflecting a part of the incoming solar radiation. Evolution and sedimentation equation for sulphur aerosol mass calculation is considered. A uniform and zonal stratospheric aerosol space distribution was investigated. It is shown that by this way it is impossible to achieve the space and seasonal uniform approximation to the existing climate, although it is possible significantly reduce the greenhouse warming effect. The Pareto optimal frontier was investigated and visualized for two parameters - atmospheric temperature MSD for the winter and summer seasons. Speed-independent fused multiply-add-subtract unit is offered together with test environment providing full verification of its performance and workability in all range of the environment conditions. It complies with IEEE 754 Standard, and performs double and single precision operations at three operands. The unit is implemented as a two-channel with a common input and output. Each channel is a pipeline with four stages. Multiplier is implemented on the modified Booth algorithm using self-timed redundant code. The unit was designed on a base of standard CMOS process with 65 nm design rules and has 3.15 Gigaflops performance and less than 2 ns latency.

The results of development of multi-core recurrent dataflow architecture (MRDA) focused on effective implementation of parallel digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms are being presented. All stages of MRDA development are integrated into a single iterative design cycle including mathematical modeling tools (imitational model); hardware modeling tools (VHDL-model); FPGA prototype and tools for developing the software meant to run on MRDA. Comparative assessments of effectiveness of DSP algorithms implemented on MRDA in relation to tradition DSP-processor are being presented.

A problem of identification control synthesis is considered. This problem arises when it is necessary to perform a control system synthesis for an object which mathematical model is unknown. To solve the identification control synthesis problem, we use a numerical method of the network operator. The method allows finding both the structure and the parameters of mathematical expressions in the form of integer matrices using evolutionary algorithms for mathematical model identification and for control synthesis of identified model. Experimental data for identification were obtained from mobile robot. Then an automated control synthesis was performed for identified model. To prove the computational results the synthesized control was implemented in real mobile robot. The results of application of network operator method to identification control synthesis for mobile robot are presented.
