One major goal of digital twin technology applied in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Industry is the mapping of roads and road environments with their associated information. Such digital twins can support cost-effective testing, simulations, and the production of mapping backgrounds for automated vehicles and generally for Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) developments. The efficient workflow that leads from data acquisition to finished products depends on a number of requirements and knowledge sets. The main contribution of the paper is a general methodology of creating HD-map from point cloud and image data set. Accordingly, the most widely used survey techniques are presented and the requirements for the objects to be derived are summarized. The paper then outlines a general implementation procedure as an expert knowledge through a real-life example, where the results obtained for the ZalaZONE Automotive Proving Ground are demonstrated. © 2023 IEEE.

Vehicle dynamics simulation is widely used in the automotive industry. The usability of each model depends on how well it can replicate the behaviour of the real vehicle. Each simulation model must go through a thorough investigation process- model validation- before use. Accordingly, the research introduces a comprehensive methodological framework for vehicle dynamics model validation using a sophisticated vehicle dynamics measurement system and a machine learning algorithm. The validation process of a two-wheel vehicle model (bicycle model) is presented where the authors’ previously proposed work is exploited as a base and further developed, i.e. by using a Genetic Algorithm (GA) the vehicle parameters (yaw inertia, axle cornering stiffness) are estimated in an automatized fashion.

An existing challenge in power systems is the implementation of optimal demand management through dynamic pricing. This paper encompasses the design, analysis and implementation of a novel on-line pricing scheme based on coalitional game theory. The setting consists of a network with multiple energy retailers competing to attract consumers by announcing a price in a hierarchical leader-follower structure. The process of coalition formation under such a pricing scheme can be viewed as a game for which we show that a Stackelberg equilibrium exists, i.e., given a price, consumers will respond by conforming to a reciprocal power consumption quantity. We propose a coalition formation algorithm and perform a game-theoretic stability analysis on the resulting coalitions. We integrate the pricing setting with a resistive micro-grid dynamic model. In this context we analyse the behaviour of the integrated system, bridging the gap between market and physical layers of the problem. Simulations provide a comparison of profits generated by the proposed scheme against a more traditional single retailer scheme, while simultaneously showing convergence towards a steady-state equilibrium. It is well-known that fractional-order discrete-time systems have a major advantage over their integer-order counterparts, because they can better describe the memory characteristics and the historical dependence of the underlying physical phenomenon. This paper investigates chaos in the fractional- order Arnold map via 0-1 test algorithm for chaos. A number of chaotic attractors are generated from the system dynamics, indicating that the behaviour of the fractional-order map becomes unpredictable, independently of the fractional-order values. © 2021 IEEE.

The work reported in this paper concerns a study of chaos control of fractional-order maps, especially the two-dimensional fractional-order Duffing map, which is outlined here in the sense of the Caputo h-difference operator. For the purpose of stabilizing the dynamics of the established map, some simple linear control laws are proposed and verified numerically. The chaos control is accomplished by introducing a novel result which its proof relies on selecting a suitable Lyapunov function and proper linear control law. Several numerical simulations are performed to emphasize the influence of the established scheme. © 2021 IEEE.

In this paper, are presented some possibilities concerning the implementation of a test-driven development as a programming method. Here is offered a different point of view for creation of advanced programming techniques (build tests before programming source with all necessary software tools and modules respectively). Therefore, this nontraditional approach for easier programmer's work through building tests at first is preferable way of software development. This approach allows comparatively simple programming (applied with different object-oriented programming languages as for example JAVA, XML, PYTHON etc.). It is predictable way to develop software tools and to provide help about creating better software that is also easier to maintain. Test-driven programming is able to replace more complicated casual paradigms, used by many programmers.

In this paper, authors introduce PHP5's XML implementation and show how to read, parse, and write a short and uncomplicated XML file using Simple XML in a PHP environment. The possibilities for mutual work of PHP5 language and XML standard are described. The details of parsing process with Simple XML are also cleared. A practical project PHP-XML-MySQL presents the advantages of XML implementation in PHP modules. This approach allows comparatively simple search of XML hierarchical data by means of PHP software tools. The proposed project includes database, which can be extended with new data and new XML parsing functions.

In this paper, are presented some possibilities for application of an algebraic method which handles XML hierarchical data structures and makes faster the XML search mechanism. The article briefly presents the concepts of Web Services, Service-Oriented Architecture and other modern software paradigms for organization of the processes over internet. The accelerating techniques for XML navigation through linear algebra tools are also discussed. Web Services use the internet as the communication medium and focus on the internet-based standards, which include the Simple Object Access Protocol for transmitting data, Web Services Description Language for defining services, and other message interactions. The presented paper offers one different point of view concerning the building of an algebraic formalism for navigation over XML hierarchy. This nontraditional approach, based on the linear algebra theory, leads to easier interfac. for XML search techniques that could eliminate some existing language constructions. © 2010 IEEE.
