This research introduces the design and implementation of an advanced IoT-based home security system aimed at improving both convenience and safety for homeowners. The system integrates a smart doorbell with a mobile application, enabling real-time alerts for guest arrivals. Key features include fac.al recognition for automated door unlocking and notification of unrecognized visitors. When an unknown fac. is detected, the system sends an image along with a notification to the homeowner via a Telegram bot. The architecture incorporates the ESP32-CAM microcontroller for fac. detection, a solenoid lock for automatic door access, and an ultrasonic sensor to detect visitor presence. Extensive testing under various environmental conditions was conducted to assess the system's performance, particularly in terms of fac. recognition accuracy and notification delivery. The results indicate that the system significantly enhances home security by ensuring timely notifications and automating door access for verified individuals. While the system performs reliably in well-lit environments, challenges remain in low-light conditions. Software testing confirmed the robustness of the underlying logic. This innovative IoT solution overcomes the limitations of traditional security systems, offering a more secure, user-friendly, and efficient alternative for modern home security. © 2025 IEEE.

Computer-based learning model acts as an important supplement to traditional teaching method that commonly using pen, paper or any material, which apply multi-senses application for students with dyslexia. The need to improve learning style for students with dyslexia raised by many researchers, teachers and also parents. Students with dyslexia have poor fluency in reading, writing, spelling, short-term memory and also other related disorders. Additionally, they often suffer emotions like frustration and low selfesteem due to lack of achievement, which in the end develop behaviour difficulties. In this research, we proposed a computer-based learning model to address dyslexia language-based processing difficulties that considers both student's cognitive and emotion. The proposed model intended for students with dyslexia in primary school to learn the Malay language using the machine learning (ML) approach to provide an adaptive learning environment. This allows students with dyslexia to learn in ways that are tailored to suit a specific individual with minimal teacher intervention. © 2015 ACM.

Metaphor is a representation of object and situation that have meaning and comparable to real thing to convey the message to people. The purpose of using metaphor is to fac.litate in making communication more direct and effective for particular user communities. This study reveals design metaphor issues for paddy farmer population in agriculture domain in Malaysia. The work is motivated by the ICT-Based Agriculture Flagship Blueprint of the Malaysia Government, an initiative to equips agriculture stakeholders in Malaysia including farmers with ICT knowledge on multiple platforms e.g. kiosk, personal computer or mobile device. The metaphors design is deemed to have a huge potential to improve user interfac. usability of agriculture applications for paddy farmers in Malaysia.

In hydroponic plants, adequate nutrition and environmental temperature stability of nutrients are most important to maintain the fertility of the hydroponic plants. By monitoring nutrient flow and environmental temperature stability for hydroponics automatically, it will be easier for a farmer to monitor all of hydroponic plants. This paper, propose a tool for detecting and controlling the flow of food nutrients on the hydroponic plants using the ESP8266 circuit. First step, the sensor will detect the high nutrient solution and temperature around the hydroponic plants, then forward to microcontroller. By the microcontroller will be forwarded to the ESP8266 circuit module and send it to the Android Smartphone. The detection results of the proximity and temperature sensors that sent via ESP8266 will be used as parameters for flowing nutrients or not, and the parameters for turning on the cooling fan or not. The detection results of those sensors are sent to the smartphone by the ESP8266 circuit module, and then forwarded to the Android smartphone in real time. The data sent by ESP8266 module to *** and android application has an average delay of 2.8 seconds on *** and 4.2 seconds on android application. This difference delay occurs because of the data entry is influenced of internet signals hotspots. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

data Management in mobile computing environments poses great challenges to the database researchers. One of the important challenges is to provide a data replication solution that maintains the consistency and improves the availability of replicated data. This paper addresses this problem for large scale distributed information systems that operate in mobile environments. Our solution represents a new binary hybrid replication strategy, in terms of its components and approach. The new strategy encompasses two components: replication architecture to provide a solid infrastructure for improving data availability and replication method to transfer data updates in a manner that achieves the consistency of data. The new strategy is a hybrid of both pessimistic and optimistic replication approaches, in order to exploit the features of each. The proposed strategy supports higher data availability and lower rate of inconsistencies as well as supports the mobility of users.

Nowadays heart attack is becoming a very deadly disease of human. This attack cannot be predicted, but it can be known from the human heartbeat which is a very vital health parameter of the human cardiovascular system. Heart rate reflects the health conditions of the human cardiovascular system that determined by such as stress at work, before or after sports and the psychology fac.or. Unfortunately, some people do not know their heart rate before or after doing an activity. This paper proposes of measuring technique of heart rate by using pulse sensor, Arduino microcontroller, and Android Smartphone. It is based on the principle of measuring the variation of blood volume in our body using a light source and detector. We also measure the heart rate by using the ECG or EKG (electrocardiogram) waveform as the comparison result of the pulse sensor with ECG waveform. The sensor consists of an infrared light-emitting-diode (LED) and a photodiode. The LED transmits an infrared light into the fingertip which is reflected back from the blood inside of finger arteries. The results show that this tool can detect the value of the heart rate and is displayed on the screen of an Android. The sensor takes under 10 seconds to detect the value of the heart rate. Notification via SMS will be sent the heart rate such as under normal conditions (BPM, Beat Per Minute 100). © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper discusses the formal validation for spatial information databases integration framework (SIDIF). A SIDIF database is a large, organized body of persistent data, usually associated with computerized software designed to update, query, and retrieve components of the data stored within the system. One of the common difficulties fac.d by the developer is in designing a robust database system. Even so, in order to solve this matter, developers have to focus their efforts on the formal specifications. The formal specification is supposed to reduce the overall development time. Formal specifications can be used to provide an unambiguous and precise supplement to natural language descriptions. Besides, it can be rigorously validated and verified leading to the early detection of specification errors. Consequently, to validate this problem formally, we specify the SIDIF database framework using Z language and prove by using Z/EVES theorem proven tool. By using this kind of tools, it may help to reduce time, energy and mistake compared to manual theorem proving which can be error task and tedious.

Towards a balanced specification language for distributed object computing patterns

Despite the benefits offered by distributed object computing, there are a lot of key challenges that need to be addressed when developing distributed applications. Design patterns help alleviate those challenges by shifting the developer's focus towards high-level design concerns rather than platform-specific details. However, the inherent ambiguity of existing textual and graphical descriptions of design patterns does not help users understand and apply them easily. Formal specification of design patterns is not meant to replace existing means of pattern descriptions, but to complement them in order to achieve accuracy and allow rigorous reasoning about them. The main problem of existing formal specification languages for design patterns is lack of completeness. This is mainly because they tend to focus on specifying either the structural or behavioural aspect of design patterns, but not both of them. We propose a simple yet balanced pattern specification language (BPSL) that is intended to achieve equilibrium by specifying both aspects of design patterns. The language combines two subset of logic, one from first-order logic and one from temporal logic of actions.
