Recently a growing interest can be observed in the field of financial forecasting and especially in the field of cryptocurrency market forecasting. This proved to be an outstandingly complex problem because of the many special characteristics of these markets. Making accurate predictions requires the proper usage and fine tuning of the most modern algorithms. The goal of our research was to find the optimal data division method for the LSTM neural network-based prediction of the exchange rate of Bitcoin and fine-tune the model to achieve the lowest mean percentage error possible. To fulfill this goal, two binning methods, namely transaction time-based, and transaction quantity-based binning methods were evaluated from the viewpoint of the Bitcoin exchange rate prediction. We came to the conclusion that time-based binning method outperforms the other tested method and the granularity of the optimal time division was also established. Experimental results show, that the 20-minute and 30-minute prediction interval are the most suitable choices in case of a limited amount of training data and for making more trading decisions. In case of markets with a higher commission, or when more training data are available the 2-hour prediction is recommended. Our results show that on the proper time division-based LSTM prediction method is suitable for developing successful short term trading strategies for Bitcoin markets. © 2019 IEEE.

Landauer’s limit on heat dissipation during information erasure is critical as devices shrink, requiring optimal pure-state preparation to minimise errors. However, Nernst’s third law states this demands infinite resources in energy, time, or control complexity. We address the challenge of cooling quantum systems with finite resources. Using Markovian collision models, we explore resource trade-offs and present efficient cooling protocols (that are optimal for qubits) for coherent and incoherent control. Leveraging thermodynamic length, we derive bounds on heat dissipation for swap-based strategies and discuss the limitations of preparing pure states efficiently. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. One of the greatest challenges for the success of mobile banking is to attract the user's intention to use it. Based on the literature, this study investigated the effect of three main factors (Perceived risk, perceived trust in the provider and perceived trust in technology) that affect the behavioral intention to use mobile banking. The data collected by 113 participants via an online questionnaire. The collected data analyzed using AMOS 18 to measure the research hypotheses. The finding illustrates that the highest influence on the user's intention to use mobile banking is perceived trust in bank provider which shows the t value of 18.7 and P-value © 2019 IEEE.

In this paper, we study how to alleviate highway traffic congestions by encouraging plug-in electric and hybrid vehicles to stop at charging stations around peak congestion times. Specifically, we focus on a case study and simulate the adoption of a dynamic charging price depending on the traffic congestion. We use real traffic data of the A13 highway stretch between The Hague and Rotterdam, in The Netherlands, to identify the Cell Transmission Model. Then, we apply the algorithm proposed in [1](Part I: Theory) to different scenarios, validating the theoretical results and showing the benefits of our strategy in terms of traffic congestion alleviation. Finally, we carry out a sensitivity analysis of the proposed algorithm and discuss how to optimize its performance. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

South Africa has one of the highest rates of sexual violence in the world, and with this technology era being the information age, it is not suprising that people are turning to social media to voice their views on this matter. As tweets on sexual violence grow continually, extracting insights from such data demands a robust, real-time, and scalable tools with flexibility in the database schema. Elasticsearch (ES) is an example of a free-license search engine written in Java and developed on Apache Lucene that meets the stated requirements. On the other hand, Kibana facilitates intuitive dashboard development, visual exploration, and real-time analysis of an index in ES through an intuitive graphical user interface. This study demonstrates how gender was inferred and evaluated through the integration of deep neural networks and Google's TensorFlow. We used the AFINN model to infer sentiment analysis as our measure of gender disparity in this instance. The Indexer, built of Node. js, and defined as the hub of the system connects with the Twitter streaming API to ingest tweets found within the boundaries of sexual violence. This system runs persistently with tweets through the ES search engine and visualised in Kibana.

We are experiencing an unprecedented healthcare crisis caused by the newly-discovered corona-virus disease (COVID-19). The outbreaks of COVID-19 reveal the frailties of existing healthcare systems. Therefore, the digital transformation of healthcare systems becomes an inevitable trend. During this process, the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) plays a crucial role while intrinsic vulnerabilities of security and privacy deter the wide adoption of IoMT. In this article, we present a blockchain-enabled IoMT to address the security and privacy concerns of IoMT systems. We also discuss the solutions brought by blockchain-enabled IoMT to COVID-19 from five different perspectives.
