This paper presents a finite-time adaptive observer for a class of linear systems to achieve state observation and parameter estimation simultaneously. Different from classical adaptive observers based on the state observation error, the adaptive law in the developed observer is designed based on the parameter estimation error and the sliding mode term, where the parameter estimation error is extracted by auxiliary variables and algebraic operations. As a result, the coupling effect between parameter estimation and state observation is highly reduced such that the finite-time convergence of the parameter estimation error can be explicitly given. Besides, the persistent excitation condition of the system can be online verified by calculating minimal eigenvalue of the designed auxiliary variable. For the observer design, a time delay is introduced in order to achieve the state observation error converging to zero in finite time. Finally, comparative simulation results for a robotic arm is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed finite-time adaptive observer.

In this paper,aiming at the copper melting process,the relevant process variable parameters are coupled with each other,complicated and change with the production cycle,which leads to the anomaly detection of copper melting *** accuracy of copper melting data,we propose an Anomaly Transformer model based on the Transformer model,which replaces the original Self-Attention mechanism with Anomaly-Attention mechanism,to realize accurate and reliable copper melting process data anomaly *** order to realize accurate and reliable anomaly detection of copper melting process ***,the degree of anomaly of copper melting process data at each time point is measured by the correlation dispersion,and the KL dispersion distance value is utilized to quantify the degree of *** value of KL dispersion to quantify the change of the value of each neighboring time point,and secondly,the above quantized distance value is transform the its attention mechanism into the anomaly attention mechanism form.,in order to present the anomaly deviation and weight of each time point,and distinguish normal points from anomaly points,and finally,the trained anomaly Transformer model is analyzed on the test set for anomaly ***,the trained anomaly Transformer model is analyzed on the test set for anomaly detection,and the results are analyzed and interpreted using F1 evaluation *** experimental results show that in the production process dataset of copper *** application of correlation-based discretization brings a certain 3.7%improvement in the F1 *** addition of the anomalous attention module achieved 43.4% performance improvement,and the final combination of the combination of the combined KL dispersion and the anomaly attention module yielded an F1 score of 71.31,achieving a better anomaly detection result.

Aiming at the problem that the ice-copper grade prediction process is difficult to effectively capture the long-term dependency relationship between data,which leads to low prediction accuracy,it is proposed to construct a model using the powerful long-term memory capability and bidirectional information prediction ability of bidirectional long and short-term memory network(BiLSTM) model,and further optimize the model by using the genetic algorithm(GA) to achieve accurate prediction of ice-copper ***,the genetic algorithm was used to find the optimal hyperparameter combination of the ***,the predicted values of the BiLSTM model optimized by the genetic algorithm are compared with the predicted values of the existing methods and the unoptimized Bi LSTM model using different evaluation ***,the SHAP method is used to give the overall and local interpretation of the prediction results of the BiLSTM *** experimental results show that the RMSE of the BiLSTM model optimized by the genetic algorithm is reduced by at least 3.05%,the MAE is reduced by at least 2.75%,the MAPE is reduced by at least 3.29%,and the R2 is increased by at least 1.51%,which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method in solving the problem of ice-copper grade prediction,and the SHAP method is able to explain the output of the Bi LSTM model efficiently and increase the transparency of the *** SHAP method can effectively explain the output of the BiLSTM model and increase the transparency of the model.

This paper proposes an adaptive prescribed-time(PT) parameter estimation method for nonlinear systems subject to unknown switched parameters. The notable feature of the PT parameter estimation is that the estimated parameters can converge to their true values within a finite settling time that can be selected regardless of the initial condition. To achieve the objective,the nonlinear system is first transformed as a linear system with parameter jump behaviour. To address the inherent unknown parameters,a set of auxiliary filtered variables are introduced to extract the parameter error information. Then,a time-varying function concerning on the parameter jump and prescribed convergence time of the estimated parameters is designed. With the obtained parameter estimation error and time-varying function,an adaptive PT parameter estimation algorithm is constructed to guarantee the accuracy and convergence time of the estimated parameters. Theoretical studies are conducted to confirm the convergence of the estimated parameters,and make a comparison between the suggested adaptive law and both finite-time(FT)and fixed-time(FxT) schemes. Numerical simulation results of the parameter estimation performance are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Parameter estimation of Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell(PEMFC) is important for its modeling and controller design. However, the nonlinear parameterization property of PEMFC makes it difficult to obtain the precise value of the parameter embedded in the nonlinear function. In this paper, we propose an adaptive nonlinear parameter estimation algorithm to solve the nonlinear problem of PEMFC. To separate the parameter embedded in the nonlinear function, a linear parameterization method based on direct differential and filter design is first applied to the PEMFC model. In this way, the nonlinear function is transformed into a linearly parameterized function with an exponentially decaying remainder that can guarantee the unknown parameters' convergence. Because the direct differential operation introduces the derivation signal of the system input in the linearly parameterized function, the prescribed-time robust differentiator is used to achieve its fast convergence. Later, the adaptive parameter estimation algorithm driven by the parameter estimation error is applied. Because there is no need to construct any observer/predictor, the calculation efficiency is enhanced. Finally, the comparative experiment of the differentiator and the model validation experiment are conducted. The experiment results show that the prescribed-time robust differentiator has a fast convergence rate and the parameter estimation algorithm achieves the nonlinear parameter estimation with a high accuracy.

This paper presents an approach for robust target detection and localization in the context of UAV autonomous landing with partially occluded targets. Since the performance of the autonomous landing system largely depends on the accurate detection and positioning of the landing target, it is very important to deal with the local occlusion caused by obstacles or environmental factors. In order to improve the overall performance of the system, we propose a fault-tolerant target detection method and target completion strategy. The proposed target detection method combines image processing technology with feature extraction algorithm, which can recognize and locate the landing target even in the case of occlusion. The target completion strategy aims to recover the missing part of the occluded target and make the detection and location algorithm execute more reliably. We perform experiments on image data sets with different horizontal object occlusion to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. The results show that our method successfully detects and locates the landing target under different occlusion levels, and significantly improves the performance of UAV autonomous landing system in the real scene. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Wave energy, as one of the promising renewable energy sources, is contained in the motion of the sea wave. The conversion efficiency of wave energy can be improved by the converter device and the corresponding control strategy. In this paper, an adaptive dynamic programming (ADP)-based output-feedback optimal control approach is proposed for lever-type wave energy converter (WEC) with mechanical motion rectification (MMR)-based power takeoff (PTO). The main advantage of the designed MMR-based PTO is that the bidirectional motion of the float can be obtained, which can directly convert irregular, bidirectional wave motions into regular, unidirectional generator rotations, accordingly. The Euler-Lagrange equation is employed to establish the dynamic model of the designed lever-type WEC. Moreover, the d-Iq-axis model of permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is incorporated with the dynamic model of lever-type WEC, by which a fair comprehensive WEC model can be characterised. Then, the extended state observer (ESO) is introduced to accommodate the unknown nonlinear dynamics. Different with the traditional control strategy designed for WEC that requires measurement of all the system states, an output-feedback optimal control based on ADP is suggested in this paper, in which a novel adaptive law based on parameter estimation error is applied to solve the modified algebraic Riccati equation (MARE) online. Finally, simulation results are provided to illustrate the feasibility of the developed WEC and efficiency of the proposed method. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Medical Body Area Networks (MBANs) increasingly utilize wireless communication technologies to enhance the freedom and convenience for patients and caregivers. Currently, radio frequency (RF) is the prevalent medium in healthcare applications;however, the potential for electromagnetic interference with precision medical equipment remains a concern. This study introduces a novel design and implementation of a medical healthcare information system using the newly developed Wireless Visible Light Communication (VLC) technology, also known as Light Fidelity (Li-Fi). Visible Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), expected to soon surpass traditional incandescent and fluorescent bulbs as the primary light source due to their energy efficiency, facilitate this technology. In this research, patient health is monitored using sensors, with results displayed on an LCD. An LED lightbulb transmits the data as light signals, which are captured by a photo-detector at the receiver's end. This setup not only displays the output on an LCD but also alerts caregivers through an auditory signal, beeping every 15 seconds for respiration and every 30 seconds for heart rate monitoring. Moreover, these lighting fixtures serve dual functions: illumination and wireless data transmission, using the rapid switching capability of LEDs. This prototype VLC-based system offers a promising alternative for data services and monitoring in hospital areas where RF use is restricted. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents an Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Network(ANFN) for enhancing the performance of nonlinear feedforward active noise control systems. The proposed controller is a combination of the fuzzy logic technique and adaptive neural network. The Filtered-X Least Mean Square(FXLMS) algorithm is used to update the weights of the nonlinear ANFN controller. The convergence of the proposed control system is also proven by using a discrete Lyapunov function, and simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
