The paper aims to develop an automated breast mass characterization system for assisting the radiologist to analyze the digital mammograms. Mammographic Image Analysis Society (MIAS) database images are used in this study. Fuzzy C-means technique is used to segment the mass region from the input image. GLCM texture features namely contrast, correlation, energy and homogeneity are obtained from the region of interest. The texture features extracted from gray level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM) are computed at distance d=1 and θ=0 o , 45 o , 90 o , 135 o . These with three classifiers namely adaboost, back propagation neural network and sparse representation classifiers are used for characterizing the region containing either benign mass or malignant mass. The experimental results show the SRC classifier is more effective with an accuracy of 93.75% and with the Mathew's correlation coefficient (MCC) of 87.35%.

Automatic classification cardiac views is the first step to automate wall motion analysis, computer aided disease diagnosis, measurement computation etc. In this paper a fully automatic classification of cardiac view in echocardiogram is proposed. The system is built based on a machine learning approach which characterizes two features 1) Histogram features and 2) Statistical features. In this system four standard views parasternal short axis (PSAX), parasternal long axis (PLAX), apical two chamber (A2C) and apical four chamber (A4C) views are classified. Experiments over 200 echocardiogram images show that the proposed method with an accuracy of 87.5% can be effectively used in cardiac view classification.

The cloud computing paradigm is considered as the next-generation of IT technology. It is also the internet based technology, where the users can share resources among the enormous cloud service provider, such as cloud partners and cloud vendors. Cloud computing makes high quality of service and high availability, so that users can simply access to prefer cloud with internet device. This makes many advantages and drawbacks for the users to create and store data in the cloud service provider. One is the data management and software may not be fully trustworthy in the cloud, therefore the security is an important aspect of quality of service. The purpose of this article is to concentrate on cloud data storage security and to manage the user's data in the cloud by Implementation of kerberos authentication service. I believe this novel article is the background for the next opportunity of growing the cloud security.

A prototype concurrent engineering tool has been developed for the preliminary design of composite topside structures for modern navy warships. This tool, named GELS for the Concurrent engineering of Layered Structures, provides designers with an immediate assessment of the impacts of their decisions on several disciplines which are important to the performance of a modern naval topside structure, including electromagnetic interference effects (EMI), radar cross section (RCS), structural integrity, cost, and weight. Preliminary analysis modules in each of these disciplines are integrated to operate from a common set of design variables and a common materials database. Performance in each discipline and an overall fitness function for the concept are then evaluated. A graphical user interface (GUI) is used to define requirements and to display the results from the technical analysis modules. Optimization techniques, including feasible sequential quadratic programming (FSQP) and exhaustive search are used to modify the design variables to satisfy all requirements simultaneously. The development of this tool, the technical modules, and their integration are discussed noting the decisions and compromises required to develop and integrate the modules into a prototype conceptual design tool.

In this article a multimedia computer-assisted learning (MCAL) system is presented. The major objective of this work was to investigate the potential of using such systems as tools for transferring instructional course information through various types of computer media as opposed to the classic CAL systems. The philosophy and techniques employed to design the system are investigated. Usage of the implemented system and its merits have been illustrated through its application to teach engineering students and technicians the theory and concepts of marine radar. system design, implementation, test, and revision phases are presented and discussed.
