With the help of network densification,network coverage as well as the throughput can be improved via ultra-dense networks(UDNs).In tandem,Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)communications have recently garnered much attention because of their high agility as well as widespread *** this paper,a cognitive UAV is proposed for wireless nodes power pertaining to the IoT ground ***,the UAV is included in the IoT system as the source of power for the wireless nodes as well as for resource *** quality of service(QoS)related to the cognitive node was considered as a utility function based on pricing scheme that was modelled as a non-cooperative game theory in order to maximise users’net utility ***,an energy efficiency non-cooperative game theory power allocation with pricing scheme(EE-NGPAP)is proposed to obtain an efficient power control within IoT wireless ***,uniqueness and existence of the Nash equilibrium have been demonstrated mathematically and through *** results show that the proposed energy harvest algorithm demonstrated considerable decrease in transmitted power consumption in terms of average power reduction,which is regarded to be apt with the 5Gnetworks’***,the proposed algorithm requires around 4 iterations only to converge to NE which makes the algorithm more suitable in practical heterogeneous scenarios.

This study proposes a framework for the collaborative development of global start-up innovators in a multigenerational digital environment. Intergenerational collaboration has been identified as a strategy to support entrepreneurs during their formative years. However, integrating and fostering intergenerational collaboration remains elusive. Therefore, this study aims to identify competencies for successful global startups through intergenerational knowledge transfer. We used a systematic literature review to identify a competency set consisting of growth virtues, effectual creativity, technical domain, responsive teamwork, values-based organization, sustainable networking, cultural awareness, and facilitating intergenerational safety. The competency framework serves as a foundation for knowledge management research on the global innovation readiness of people to collaborate across generations in the digital age. Owing to high thermal performances and stable properties, multiple applications of nanomaterials have been studied in different industrial and engineering processes. Ongoing continuous research in nanofluid suggested different applications of nanomaterials in catalysis, aerospace engineering, oil industry, various optical devices, medical imaging etc. The objective for exploring current investigation is to disclose the thermal impact of Oldroyd-B nanofluid comprising the buoyancy driven flow. The heat and mass transfer analysis is predicted with insight of Brownian motion and thermophoresis phenomenon. The flow is subject to bidirectional surface maintaining the uniform velocity. The zero-mass constraints are utilized for analyzing the flow phenomenon. The analytical treatment is suggested regarding the computations of developed system. Fundamental of thermal transport phenomenon are suggested with physical aspects. It is observed that velocity profile enhances with applications of buoyancy forces. The temperature profile reduces due to velocity ratio parameter. Current results present applications in cooling processes, thermal management devices, heating control, extrusion processes, chemical systems etc. © 2025

Muscle weakness is one of the main reasons for the impaired gait patterns. Weakness in hip abductor muscle results in pelvic instability during the stance phase. Therefore, subject specicity plays an important role in designing an orthotic for a patient with weaker or paralyzed muscles. This study is aimed to design a patient-specic walking aiding orthotics for a patient with a paralyzed hip. First an efficient mechanism has been designed to perform the locomotion of the leg followed by an engineering material selection. Then a dynamic study of the affected leg has been conducted to identify the demanded patient-specific forces and torques. Later, engineered orthotic has been tested for possible failures using finite element analysis. The proposed device will provide a solution to the gait difficulties of this patient while minimizing the unnecessary loadings on his controlateral hip. © 2019 IEEE.

Recognizing handwritten characters, the accuracy of the optical character recognition is usually not relatively high due to every person having their unique way of writing characters. Therefore, we focus on finding a high recognition accuracy of optical character recognition by using a backpropagation neural network. The input layer of the backpropagation neural network is the pixel number of the one-character image, which is 784 input nodes that will be the input layer of the neural network. Then the output layer of the neural network will be the 10-digit characters which are 0 to 9. The dataset that used for this research has a total of 280, 000 data. The output of the neural network will a computerized digit representing the recognized digit characters. The performance measurement is the recognition accuracy where the recognized data and the expected output data are compared and calculated. Additionally, the dataset was applied with salt and pepper noise to represent the corrupted data and use a median filter to repair the image. The recognition accuracy for the corrupted image and the corrected image are obtained and discussed. © 2021 IEEE.

Epileptic seizure prediction has the potential to promote epilepsy care and treatment. However, the seizure prediction accuracy does not satisfy the application requirements. In this paper, a novel framework for seizure prediction is proposed by learning synchronization patterns. For better representation, bag-of-wave (BoWav) feature extraction is proposed for modeling synchronization pattern of electroencephalogram (EEG) signal. An interictal codebook and preictal codebook, representing the local segments, are constructed by a clustering algorithm. Within a period of EEG signal on all electrodes, local segments are projected onto the learned codebooks. The proposed feature expresses the synchronization pattern of EEG signal with the histogram feature. Moreover, extreme learning machine (ELM) is used to classify the sequence of features. Experiments are performed on the Kaggle seizure prediction challenge dataset and the CHB-MIT dataset. The experiment on the CHB-MIT achieves a sensitivity of 88.24% and a false prediction rate per hour of 0.25. © 2018, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Diabetic Retinopathy is the leading cause of blindness in the last 100 years. The traditional screening process for DR and its stages takes a lot of time, and it is not practical. Using machine learning techniques and image processing, we can automate detecting diabetic retinal disease and disease stage with acceptable performance. In this work, we have used multiple deep convolution neural networks (CNN) with the same architecture of InceptionV3. Each of the pre-trained Inception V3 architecture is retrained with 2200 preprocessed and leveled images. The dataset is preprocessed using multiple high performing and effective image processing techniques. Then the newly trained models are used for identifying the level of DR. In the final stage, we use a voting scheme for classifying the level of DR from the output of each model. We have achieved 90.5% accuracy in binary classification (Normal/DR) and 81.1% accuracy in 5-class classification. © 2020 IEEE.

Semantic Web is the vision to make Internet data machine-readable to achieve information retrieval with higher granularity and personalisation. Semantic annotation is the process that binds machine-understandable descriptions into Web resources such as text and images. Hence, the success of Semantic Web depends on the wide availability of semantically annotated Web resources. However, there remains a huge amount of unannotated Web resources due to the limited annotation capability available. In order to address this, machine learning approaches have been used to improve the automation process. This Systematic Review aims to summarise the existing state-of-the-art literature to answer five Research Questions focusing on machine learning driven semantic annotation automation. The analysis of 40 selected primary studies reveals that the use of unitary and combination of machine learning algorithms are both the current directions. Support Vector Machine (SVM) is the most-used algorithm, and supervised learning is the predominant machine learning type. Both semi-automated and fully automated annotation are almost nearly achieved. Meanwhile, text is the most annotated Web resource;and the availability of third-party annotation tools is in-line with this. While Precision, Recall, F-Measure and Accuracy are the most deployed quality metrics, not all the studies measured the quality of the annotated results. Robust Optimal Higher-order-observer-based Dynamic Sliding Mode Control for VTOL Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

This paper investigates the precise trajectory tracking of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV) capable of vertical take-off and landing(VTOL) subjected to external disturbances. For this reason, a robust higher-order-observer-based dynamic sliding mode controller(HOB-DSMC) is developed and optimized using the fractional-order firefly algorithm(FOFA). In the proposed scheme, the sliding surface is defined as a function of output variables, and the higher-order observer is utilized to estimate the unmeasured variables,which effectively alleviate the undesirable effects of the chattering phenomenon. A neighboring point close to the sliding surface is considered, and as the tracking error approaches this point, the second control is activated to reduce the control input. The stability analysis of the closed-loop system is studied based on Lyapunov stability theorem. For a better study of the proposed scheme, various trajectory tracking tests are provided, where accurate tracking and strong robustness can be simultaneously ensured. Comparative simulation results validate the proposed control strategy′s effectiveness and its superiorities over conventional sliding mode controller(SMC) and integral SMC approaches.
