The Internet of Things (IoT) systems include a massive number of connected devices. The communication between these devices requires a huge amount of communication. Thus, it is very crucial for an IoT system to reduce communication volumes by minimizing the amount of data transmission. There are several approaches to achieving the goal of data transmission reduction, such as data compression and dual prediction. Dual prediction schemes received more attention in comparison to data compression. The mainstream techniques for proposing dual prediction schemes in the literature can be classified into two main groups, namely, filter-based and deep learning-based methods. The filter-based methods, such as the 1-D Kalman filter, are lightweight in terms of running time and the model’s memory requirements. On the other hand, deep learning-based methods require more memory space and training time, but deep learning models are more accurate as predictive models in comparison to filter-based methods in dual prediction schemes. There are very limited efforts to utilize machine learning methods in dual prediction schemes as a compromise between the aforementioned mainstream techniques. In this work, we extended one of these limited efforts, which utilizes boosting ensemble learning as a machine learning predictive method in a proposed dual prediction scheme. The current work proposes exploring the performance gap between the three main approaches to ensemble learning, namely, boosting, stacking, and bagging. The three proposed ensemble learning models are evaluated on a real dataset and compared against state-of-the-art methods. The obtained results show that among the ensemble learning models, boosting and bagging models are better than the stacking model, but the three proposed ensemble learning models outperformed the state-of-the-art methods of comparison. Fruit diseases seriously affect the production of the agricultural sector,which builds financial pressure on the country’s *** manual inspection of fruit diseases is a chaotic process that is both time and cost-consuming since it involves an accurate manual inspection by an ***,it is essential that an automated computerised approach is developed to recognise fruit diseases based on leaf *** to the literature,many automated methods have been developed for the recognition of fruit diseases at the early ***,these techniques still face some challenges,such as the similar symptoms of different fruit diseases and the selection of irrelevant *** processing and deep learning techniques have been extremely successful in the last decade,but there is still room for improvement due to these ***,we propose a novel computerised approach in this work using deep learning and featuring an ant colony optimisation(ACO)based *** proposed method consists of four fundamental steps:data augmentation to solve the imbalanced dataset,fine-tuned pretrained deep learning models(NasNetMobile andMobileNet-V2),the fusion of extracted deep features using matrix length,and finally,a selection of the best features using a hybrid ACO and a Neighbourhood Component Analysis(NCA).The best-selected features were eventually passed to many classifiers for final *** experimental process involved an augmented dataset and achieved an average accuracy of 99.7%.Comparison with existing techniques showed that the proposed method was effective.

Virus detection software is widely used for servers, systems, and devices that seek to maintain security and reliability. Although these programs provide an excellent safety level, the traditional defense methods fail to detect new Malware. The more advanced approach relies on predicting malicious behavior with dynamic analysis of the process executed. This paper presents a new method for detecting malware using machine learning algorithms applied to data obtained from the Cuckoo sandbox. The Cuckoo sandbox isolates the file being analyzed, providing detailed dynamic analysis reports. The machine learning algorithms were compared and the most important features were identified. The results were obtained using six popular classifiers, including SVM, Random Forest, and LightGBM, and the XGBOOST algorithm had the highest accuracy, at an average of 97%. However, the research on machine learning-based malware analysis is limited in terms of computational complexity and detection accuracy. © 2023, ICST Institute for Computer sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

With the global increase in the popularity of cryptocurrencies, the need for anomaly detection and fraudulent behavior is reaching an all-time high. In our paper, we propose a novel method of anomaly detection with the use of Numerical Association Rule Mining with Differential Evolution. The experiment was conducted by using the Dogecoin blockhain, and the dataset contained all of the transactions from one month. Our results contained 303 rules, with the best fitness function value of 0.8.

Speech emotion recognition(SER)is an important research problem in human-computer interaction *** representation and extraction of features are significant challenges in SER *** the promising results of recent studies,they generally do not leverage progressive fusion techniques for effective feature representation and increasing receptive *** mitigate this problem,this article proposes DeepCNN,which is a fusion of spectral and temporal features of emotional speech by parallelising convolutional neural networks(CNNs)and a convolution layer-based *** parallel CNNs are applied to extract the spectral features(2D-CNN)and temporal features(1D-CNN)representations.A 2D-convolution layer-based transformer module extracts spectro-temporal features and concatenates them with features from parallel *** learnt low-level concatenated features are then applied to a deep framework of convolutional blocks,which retrieves high-level feature representation and subsequently categorises the emotional states using an attention gated recurrent unit and classification *** fusion technique results in a deeper hierarchical feature representation at a lower computational cost while simultaneously expanding the filter depth and reducing the feature *** Berlin Database of Emotional Speech(EMO-BD)and Interactive Emotional Dyadic Motion Capture(IEMOCAP)datasets are used in experiments to recognise distinct speech *** efficient spectral and temporal feature representation,the proposed SER model achieves 94.2%accuracy for different emotions on the EMO-BD and 81.1%accuracy on the IEMOCAP dataset *** proposed SER system,DeepCNN,outperforms the baseline SER systems in terms of emotion recognition accuracy on the EMO-BD and IEMOCAP datasets.

In comparison to conventional book-printed content, electronic "publishing"has allowed users to import files to either a personal computer or an e-book reader to read text in a digital format. Reduced printing costs and reduced time to market by streamlined drafting, proofing, and printing methods are the benefits of the publishing industry over the conventional printed book (p-book). It prevents binding, distribution and shipping. The intent of this paper is to explore the strategic use of e-commerce in the transformation of the publishing industry. The first part of the paper discusses the strategic use of e-commerce/Web-Based Business in the transition from a single distribution channel mass producer of printed books to a multiple distribution channel that will include e-books and print on demand technology in the publishing industry. Emphasis is put on management techniques in the global marketplace for the use of emerging information technologies. The second section of this paper addresses the transfer in competitive influence between the different levels of the supply chain of the publishing industry, including the latest trends in electronic publishing from the stakeholders' point of view. Expected to serve as the base for development within the digitized print industry. As e-publishing becomes popular and moves towards maturity, to allow a "mainstream"status, common standards must emerge and combine. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper presents a novel Multi-Objective Adaptive Clustering (MOAC) algorithm that addresses current limitations in existing multi-objective optimization methods. While current algorithms often struggle with premature convergence and diversity preservation, the MOAC algorithm proposes a novel clustering-based approach to search space by partitioning. The algorithm combines cluster evolution with an adaptive parameter control mechanism to achieve significant improvements in balancing exploration-exploitation and diversity maintenance. MOAC employs k-means clustering for population partitioning, combined with cluster-based genetic operators, and an efficient diversity preservation scheme. Extensive experiments across different ZDT, MMF, and UF test suites demonstrate that MOAC's performance is superior, which achieves outstanding hypervolume and IGD values in complex multi-modal problems. The algorithm shows strength in handling complex Pareto fronts, and comprehensive statistical analysis through the Friedman rankings test with a 2.21 rank. Moreover. The results reveal that MOAC is a robust approach for complex multi-objective optimization problems, particularly maintaining solution diversity and achieving consistent convergence across different problems.

Smart city promotes the unification of conventional urban infrastructure and information technology (IT) to improve the quality of living andsustainable urban services in the city. To accomplish this, smart cities necessitate collaboration among the public as well as private sectors to install ITplatforms to collect and examine massive quantities of data. At the same time,it is essential to design effective artificial intelligence (AI) based tools to handlehealthcare crisis situations in smart cities. To offer proficient services to peopleduring healthcare crisis time, the authorities need to look closer towardsthem. Sentiment analysis (SA) in social networking can provide valuableinformation regarding public opinion towards government actions. With thismotivation, this paper presents a new AI based SA tool for healthcare crisismanagement (AISA-HCM) in smart cities. The AISA-HCM technique aimsto determine the emotions of the people during the healthcare crisis time, suchas COVID-19. The proposed AISA-HCM technique involves distinct operations such as pre-processing, feature extraction, and classification. Besides,brain storm optimization (BSO) with deep belief network (DBN), called BSODBN model is employed for feature extraction. Moreover, beetle antennasearch with extreme learning machine (BAS-ELM) method was utilized forclassifying the sentiments as to various classes. The use of BSO and BASalgorithms helps to effectively modify the parameters involved in the DBNand ELM models respectively. The performance validation of the AISA-HCMtechnique takes place using Twitter data and the outcomes are examinedwith respect to various measures. The experimental outcomes highlighted theenhanced performance of the AISA-HCM technique over the recent state ofart SA approaches with the maximum precision of 0.89, recall of 0.88, Fmeasure of 0.89, and accuracy of 0.94.

Due to the possibilities provided by such technologies to provide people with live immersive virtual worlds, Extended Reality (XR) technologies such as virtual (VR), augmented (AR), and mixed reality (MR) have grown. The role of XR has a highly effective and efficient technology in virtual laboratories (VL) as experiments can be performed almost anywhere. During the laboratory activities, students are facing the issue of dealing with dangerous equipment such as Semiconductor fabrication furnace, which has a high temperature. In recent years, modern sensors such as Leap Motion Controller can track human movements and analyses the accuracy. This work presents a novelty approach of design training that can tracks body movements. Moreover, it provides warring alerts to trainer when it comes closer to dangerous places. While she/he is making wrong hand/body movement. When user do the experiment a semiconductor furnace training is operation in a VL. To illustrate more, this training enables the trainee to prevent his/her burning during the experiment according to safety and social distancing standards as well. Thus, Unity 3D has the capability to measure the following: accuracy, quality and efficiency of the system. XR training is significantly considering as safe technology to avoid user’s accidents.
