We propose a generalization of Zhandry's compressed oracle method to random permutations, where an algorithm can query both the permutation and its inverse. We show how to use the resulting oracle simulation to bound the success probability of an algorithm for any predicate on input-output pairs, a key feature of Zhandry's technique that had hitherto resisted attempts at generalization to random permutations. One key technical ingredient is to use strictly monotone factorizations to represent the permutation in the oracle's database. As an application of our framework, we show that the one-round sponge construction is unconditionally preimage resistant in the random permutation model. Visual impairment affects the ability of people to live a life like normal people. Such people face challenges in performing activities of daily living, such as reading, writing, traveling and participating in social gatherings. Many traditional approaches are available to help visually impaired people;however, these are limited in obtaining contextually rich environmental information necessary for independent living. In order to overcome this limitation, this paper introduces a novel wearable vision assistance system that has a hat-mounted camera connected to a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (8GB RAM) with artificial intelligence (AI) technology to deliver real-time feedback to a user through a sound beep mechanism. The key features of this system include a user-friendly procedure for the recognition of new people or objects through a one-click process that allows users to add data on new individuals and objects for later detection, enhancing the accuracy of the recognition over time. The system provides detailed descriptions of objects in the user’s environment using a large vision language model (LVLM). In addition, it incorporates a distance sensor that activates a beeping sound using a buzzer as soon as the user is about to collide with an object, helping to ensure safety while navigating their environment. A comprehensive evaluation is carried out to evaluate the proposed AI-based solution against traditional support techniques. Comparative analysis shows that the proposed solution with its innovative combination of hardware and AI (including LVLMs with IoT), is a significant advancement in assistive technology that aims to solve the major issues faced by the community of visually impaired people. © 2024, CC BY.

We present GauKGT5, a sequence-to-sequence model proposed for knowledge graph completion (KGC). Our research extends the KGT5 model, a recent sequence-to-sequence link prediction (LP) model. GauKGT5 takes advantage of textual characteristics inherent in the knowledge graph, exhibiting a small model size. However, KGT5's proficiency in link prediction necessitates the ensemble with a knowledge graph embedding model, which itself poses challenges due to its substantial size and expense. By integrating the Gated Attention Unit into the KGT5 model and directly applying it to the encoder-decoder structure, we achieve improved contextual dependency capturing within the sequence, resulting in enhanced prediction accuracy, accelerated training speed, and enhanced computational efficiency. At the same time, we introduce parallel computing as a means to enhance the efficiency of model training and inference within the XPU distributed computing environment. © 2023 IEEE.

The development of a crowd digital twin offers significant potential for enhancing public safety, urban planning, and event management. A key challenge in creating such a digital twin lies in the efficient and accurate acquisition of crowd-related data, particularly through object detection models deployed on resource-constrained devices. Through a series of experiments, we compare TinyML and Edge approaches in terms of detection accuracy, inferencing time, and resource utilization. Our findings highlight the trade-offs inherent in selecting detection models for crowd digital twin applications, underscoring the importance of aligning model choice with specific deployment needs.

Technologies continue to evolve and develop as practically all activities and services such as commerce, business, and online education can be terminated. Tragically, the commemorative service track and the handling service still run a similar cycle as more seasoned individuals have done previously. Here, the recommended app will help customers deal with the memory service faster and easier. The term "Islam"means identification with God and man, and complete surrender to God in contemplations, sayings, beliefs, and activities. Longitude in Islamic culture is sufficient and seen as a typical piece of life. Muslims consider that change begins with one country and then another, not an end. A Muslim's corpse is referred to in Arabic as a "burial service."I-JenzCare is a stage where service providers and customers can coordinate their needs in serving the remembrance service plan. I-JenzCare is a unique idea on the basis that no similar application or framework has been established regarding dealing with Islamic burial services in Malaysia yet. This research introduces new characteristics of the traditional Islamic burial service services practiced in the Malay community. I-JenzCare uses an innovative Analytic Hierarchy (AHP) that requires only a mid-end cell phone to keep everything according to the best customer experience principles. To illustrate this, the framework is a useful application for individuals who need immediate assistance in dealing with burial services in Malaysia. © 2021 IEEE.

We study the addition of shape constraints (SC) and their consideration during the parameter identification step of symbolic regression (SR). SC serve as a means to introduce prior knowledge about the shape of the otherwise unknown model function into SR. Unlike previous works that have explored SC in SR, we propose minimizing SC violations during parameter identification using gradient-based numerical optimization. We test three algorithm variants to evaluate their performance in identifying three symbolic expressions from synthetically generated data sets. This paper examines two benchmark scenarios: one with varying noise levels and another with reduced amounts of training data. The results indicate that incorporating SC into the expression search is particularly beneficial when data is scarce. Compared to using SC only in the selection process, our approach of minimizing violations during parameter identification shows a statistically significant benefit in some of our test cases, without being significantly worse in any instance. © 2024, CC BY-NC-SA.

With the improvement of innovation that has become increasingly unexpected and modern, the use of cell phones has become the primary option in supervising various issues of life. The Covid-19 episode is starting to take the course to move from learning strategies to open distance learning. Open distance learning is an idea where students rate addresses from different locations. Among the exercises affected by this change is the way to record student participation and collaboration through web addresses, rather than the usual way of being in a similar classroom while talking. Global Positioning System (GPS) is a global satellite path frame that provides area and time synchronization. This methodology can help teachers monitor their students' attitudes throughout the learning meeting. GPS activity is based on the triangulation technique where the area is determined by estimating the distance to the satellites. Accordingly, iHadir was recommended to overcome the issue of pursuing student participation. iHadir is a versatile application framework that can find the student's area during a learning meeting. This app can be used as another option in checking student engagement during web-based learning. IHadir will help increase the validity of sharing records during web-based learning. © 2021 IEEE.

Refactoring plays a critical role in enhancing the quality of software systems, enabling them to accommodate growing user bases, feature sets, and performance demands. Software reusability is an essential aspect of software quality. It is crucial in modern software development as it offers several benefits, including increased productivity, improved code quality, and cost-effectiveness. However, there is a lack of studies investigating how specific refactoring techniques affect reusability. Therefore, this study aims to explore the effects of code refactoring on software reusability. This study was conducted in four stages: selecting refactoring techniques, selecting a large dataset, selecting software metrics to measure the reusability, and applying the refactoring techniques. The five most common refactoring techniques (Extract Interface, Encapsulate Field, Extract Class, Inline Class, and Inline Method) used in practices were selected and applied in the jEdit dataset. The refactoring techniques were carried out 338 times through five experiments in the jEdit dataset. The finding reveals that Extract Interface, Encapsulate Field, and Extract Class significantly improve the code reusability while Inline Class and Inline Method impair it. Developers and software architects can use this knowledge to make well-informed judgments about refactoring techniques and develop more robust and reusable software systems.

With the rising acceptance of virtual network functions (VNFs) as a replacement for traditional network functions, the optimal placement of VNFs has become a crucial task for ensuring constant performance within constrained resources. This research investigates the challenge of mapping and scheduling VNFs as a multi-objective optimization problem. The state-of-the-art methods have focused on optimizing the mapping or scheduling of VNFs while considering one or two objectives continuously. In this study, we aim to optimize two objectives: minimizing the link capacity cost and maximizing the average resource utilization of each virtual machine. To address this problem, an adaptation of the NSGA-III optimization algorithm is proposed and thoroughly evaluated through a set of experiments. In terms of objective values, the results outlined that the proposed method outperformed the other methods of comparison by a significant margin. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
