Artificial Bee Colony Based Gabor Parameters Optimizer (ABC-GPO) for Modulation Classification

Modulation classification is one of the essential requirements in the various cognitive radio applications where prior information about the incoming signal is unknown. The modulation classification using a pattern recognition approach can be achieved in 2 modules: first, parameters are extracted from the noisy signal, and then feature selection is carried out using a Gabor filter network (GFN). In the second module, features are exploited for classification purposes. The modulation formats considered for the purpose of classification are BPSK, QPSK, 8PSK, 16PSK, 64PSK, 4FSK, 8FSK, 16FSK, QAM, 8QAM, 16QAM, 32QAM, and 64QAM. The Gabor filter parameters and weights of the adaptive filter are attuned using the Delta rule and recursive least square (RLS) algorithm until the cost function is minimized. In the end, the artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm is used to optimize the Gabor parameters as well as the classifier's performance. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) supported medicinal image examination is extensively accepted due to its reputation and improved accuracy. The investigational outcome obtained with DLS along with a chosen classifier helps to achieve better detection results than the traditional and machine-learning methods. The proposed research examines the performance of pre-trained VGG16 and VGG19 schemes in detecting the brain tumour (Glioma/Glioblastoma) grade using different pooling methods. The classification is performed using SoftMax with five-fold cross-validation, and the products are compared and presented. The brain tumour images considered in this study are collected from The Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA) dataset. This work considered 2000 images (1000 Glioma and 1000 Glioblastoma) of axial-plane with dimension of 224×224×3 pixels for the assessment, and the attained results are compared. The experimental outcome achieved with Python® confirms that the VGG16 with average-pooling provides a better classification accuracy (>99%) with Decision Tree (DT) compared with other methods considered. © 2022 IEEE.

The noise of e-commerce businesses has seen the extension of number of the online businesses global. Buyers now are opted with online business commerce which is greatly benefit compared to traditional businesses. It is undeniable e-commerce enterprises contribute more profits, comparing to "bricks-and-mortal"traditional enterprises, but not to be avoided the problems and challenges faced by the e- commerce marketplace. This study emphasizes the problems and challenges of e-commerce and a set of recommended solutions to those problems and challenges. Those problems are trust, readiness and security. For each of the problems, proposed solutions are presented. Companies have conducted business electronically by applying a range of electronic commerce solutions. In the current situation, a corporation enters the electronic market by building trading partner agreements with sellers or wholesalers of their choice. These deals may include any items that cannot be agree electronically, like terms of transfer, payment devices, or implementation rules. After discovering the right market relationships, a company must choose the elements of their electronic commerce system. In this paper have been formulate current ecommerce problems, challenges and their effective solutions. In future, e-commerce marketplace should concentrate more on securing payment, e-banking and e-government. With that, problems and challenges in e-commerce can be reduce. © 2021 IEEE.

Compared with rasterization rendering, ray tracing rendering can improve the image’s visual effect and make the image look more realistic. Real-time ray tracing requires very high computing power of graphics processing unit (GPU). When the number of GPUs is limited and the performance of a single GPU cannot be fully utilized, high rendering latency will occur. In this paper, we propose Multi-Queue Concurrent Pipeline Rendering (MQCPR), a novel ray-tracing parallel rendering scheme based on GPU multi-queue. This scheme divides the image area into multiple parts and uses multi-queue of GPU to enable the computation and transmission tasks in the rendering process to be executed simultaneously, which can maximize the performance of a single GPU and improve the graphics rendering speed. MQCPR may keep the GPU busy to make full use of the GPU resources. Experiments illustrate that in the case of a single GPU, compared with the single queue serial rendering scheme, the number of frames per second (FPS) is increased by 1.5 times after using MQCPR. © 2023 SPIE. Emotion recognition in conversation (ERC) is a prominent research topic in natural language processing, widely applicable in various scenarios. However, accessing external commonsense knowledge and related dialogue topics, along with the complexity of fusing utterances, presents significant challenges. In this paper, we introduce a Topic-based Multilayer Knowledge Filtering (TMKF) model to enhance dialog emotion recognition accuracy. TMKF acquires commonsense knowledge for each utterance and employs two Variational Autoencoder (VAE) modules to extract global and speaker-level dialogue topics. We utilize Global Knowledge Filtering (GKF) and Local Knowledge Filtering (LKF) to obtain topic-specific knowledge representations after filtering commonsense information through global and local topic hierarchies. Subsequently, we leverage relational graphs to convolve commonsense knowledge with utterances, resulting in knowledge-constrained utterance representations for classification. Our proposed model is evaluated through extensive experiments on four widely used benchmark datasets for conversational emotion recognition. The results underscore the effectiveness of TMKF, which significantly outperforms other methods in standard metric evaluations.

In recent years, cross-modal retrieval has a wide range of applications in fields such as information retrieval and multimedia processing, where the key is to find relevant data in another modality through one modal query. In cross-modal graphic retrieval, mutual attention mechanisms are commonly used to interact image and text features. However, this interaction mechanism makes it difficult to extract separate visual and textual features for subsequent indexing steps, especially in large-scale retrieval tasks. Furthermore, in image representation, non-semantic information in image features can lead to inaccuracies in the alignment of image and text features. Therefore this paper proposes a Transformer and Feature Enhancement Method (TSFE) for Image-Text Retrieval. The method better fuses the underlying features and the higher level features by using a hierarchical Transformer coding structure on two separate branches, image and text, to proofread and localise the final output features. The Feature Enhanced Attention (FEA) module is designed in order to infer non-semantic information in the image and enhance the features of salient regions. Channel-space attention and max pooling is introduced on top of Transformer encoder self-attention to filter redundant and interfering information from channel and spatial dimensions. Experiments on Flickr30k dataset and MS-COCO dataset in this paper show improved performance in cross-modal retrieval, thus validating the effectiveness and sophistication of the proposed method.

Medical Visual Question Answering (Med-VQA) is a sophisticated multimodal technology within the medical domain that utilizes natural language processing and artificial intelligence techniques. It serves as a tool in the medical field to provide information and answers, aiming to correctly respond to medical questions related to specific professional medical images. The primary goal is to assist patients in understanding their physical condition and provide decision support for healthcare professionals. While Generalized Visual Question Answering has seen significant advancements, challenges persist in the medical domain. Firstly, medical data has inherent limitations, such as the scarcity of annotated medical datasets and the complexity of medical images (including factors like noise, artifacts, and low contrast). Secondly, in terms of cross-modal fusion, there exists an intricate relationship between medical images and textual information. The complexity of the relationship between medical images and medical text, as well as the incorporation of global contextual details, pose challenges. To address these issues, this paper proposes the Feature-Enhanced Network with Conditional Mixing. This innovative approach aims to overcome the scarcity and complexity of medical images without the need for additional datasets. Simultaneously, to tackle the challenge of cross-modal fusion and information interaction and to address the complex relationship between medical images and text, we propose the Cross-Adaptive Fusion Network. Experimental results conducted on the VQA-RAD dataset demonstrate noticeable improvements in accuracy compared to mainstream Med-VQA models.

Multimodal sentiment analysis(MSA) aims to synthesize multiple pieces of information, including textual, visual, and auditory information, to more accurately infer sentiment polarity. Due to the existence of complex and diverse affective causal relationships between different modalities, they interact with each other and constitute a multidimensional expression of human emotions. In the face of unbalanced data, i.e., when there are significant differences in the number of samples between different categories, the attention mechanism of the model tends to focus on spurious correlations in the training data, seriously impairing the model’s generalization ability and leading to bias, unbalanced prediction, and false correlation identification problems. To address the above problems, this study proposes a new multimodal fusion method based on the "within-sample sampling" and "cross-sample sampling" front door adjustment methods in causal inference strategies: the multi-head causal attention fusion method (MCAF). This method aims to capture potential causal relationships between different modalities through different attention heads, helping the model focus more on key causal features and avoid paying too much attention to false correlations in the training data. This helps improve the generalization performance of the model, make the decision-making process of the model more interpretable, and enhance the accuracy and robustness of the model for multimodal sentiment analysis tasks, making it more suitable for practical application scenarios.

The most critical task in personalized news recommendation is to perform exact matching between candidate news and users’ interests. Existing news recommendation methods usually model users’ interests from historical clicked news items without considering candidate news, which makes it difficult to precisely match candidate news with users’ interests. Moreover, it is challenging to distinguish similar news when forming a vector representation. Simply adding candidate news to the user interest modeling process without considering word-level information does not provide sufficient discrimination for recommending appropriate news. In this paper, we propose a news recommendation model with candidate-aware fine-grained interaction information (CAFI). In our approach, we propose a fine-grained interaction module that matches candidate news items and text fragments of each historical news item at each semantic granularity to achieve interaction between the two at the word level and help similar historical news form more specific and accurate representations. In addition, our proposed gated self-attention mechanism utilizes the candidate news features as channel moderation gates to implement the process of filtering out information that is irrelevant to the candidate news for learning user interest representations, thereby better matching the candidate news to specific user interests. Experiments conducted on the large real-world Microsoft News Dataset (MIND) show that our model significantly outperforms the previously developed models in terms of all metrics.
