Working in multi-talker mode is viable under certain conditions, such as the fusion of audio and video stimuli along with smart adaptive beamforming of received audio signals. In this article, the authors verify part of the researched novel framework, which focuses on adapting to dynamic interlocutor’s location changes in the engagement zone of humanoid robots during the multi-talker conversation. After evaluating the framework, the authors confirm the necessity of a complementary and independent method of increasing the interlocutor’s signal isolation accuracy. It is necessary when video analysis performance plummets. The authors described the leading cause as insufficient performance during dynamic conversations. The video analysis cannot derive a new configuration when the interlocutor’s speech apparatus moves beyond the expected margin and the video frame rate drops.

This paper discusses the reduction of background noise in an industrial environment to extend *** the Industry 4.0 era,the mass development of voice control(speech recognition)in various industrial applications is possible,especially as related to augmented reality(such as hands-free control via voice commands).As Industry 4.0 relies heavily on radiofrequency technologies,some brief insight into this problem is provided,including the Internet of things(IoT)and 5G *** study was carried out in cooperation with the industrial partner Brose CZ spol.s.r.o.,where sound recordings were made to produce a *** experimental environment comprised three workplaces with background noise above 100 dB,consisting of a laser/magnetic welder and a press.A virtual device was developed from a given dataset in order to test selected commands from a commercial speech recognizer from *** tested a hybrid algorithm for noise reduction and its impact on voice command recognition *** virtual devices,the study was carried out on large speakers with 20 participants(10 men and 10 women).The experiments included a large number of repetitions(100 times for each command under different noise conditions).Statistical results confirmed the efficiency of the tested *** welding environment efficiency was 27%before applied filtering,76%using the least mean square(LMS)algorithm,and 79%using LMS+independent component analysis(ICA).Magnetic welding environment efficiency was 24%before applied filtering,70%with LMS,and 75%with LMS+*** workplace environment efficiency showed no success before applied filtering,was 52%with LMS,and was 54%with LMS+ICA.

Human detection for critical missions with unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) support becomes more and more important in the actual context when tension at borders builds up for an increasing number of countries. Although convolutional neural networks are continuously evolving, the required computational resources pose a great problem when implemented on portable embedded systems such as UAVs, with limited processing power and autonomy. This demand becomes even more drastic when running real-time human detection and tracking. This paper proposes an improved implementation of the YOLOv.7, trained on a custom dataset, for real-time human detection and tracking with confidence scores above 80% on NVIDIA Jetson TX2 neural processing unit equipped on DJI Matrice 100 UAV. With the recent advancements in drone technology, there has been an increase in the development of human detection and tracking techniques for various applications, especially near borders. In this research, we propose methods to enhance people detection performance in diverse outdoor scenarios. Our dataset design includes a wide range of lighting and color changes, different target distances, angles, and postures. The experimental data consists of images taken in various environmental situations, such as changing the drone’s flight height and capturing pictures in intensive light. To evaluate the performance of our proposed method, we enhanced the generic YOLOv5 model using the gathered data, and calculated key performance indicators, including loss functions, recall, accuracy, and mAP50. We compared the performance of our enhanced model against the standard YOLOv5 model and its versions on the same testing set.

This article presents the problem of designing a nonlinear observer for an active magnetic suspension system. The design process of the nonlinear Luenberger observer (also known as the Kazantzis-Kravaris-Luenberger observer) is discussed. Particular attention was paid to the main nonlinearity of the system - the electromagnetic force, which was modeled applying the function describing the change in inductance as a function of the distance of the levitating object from the electromagnet surface. Theoretical analyses were confirmed by the results of experimental studies in which the task of moving the sphere between the given positions using current control was carried out. control tasks were conducted in the real-time regime on an embedded platform. The measured signals and estimated velocity were analyzed in the context of future implementations in control applications.
