In this work, an attempt is made for the first time to use the measurement pattern generated by morphological transformation quantified by Hausdorff fractal dimension (HFD) and classified with ensemble learning based on bagging. The proposed work uses three morphological transformations for image preprocessing: hit-and-miss transform (HMT), white (WHT), and black top-hat (BHT). The pattern texture of US breast images is described by extracting the HFD from the regions of interest (ROI) after the ultrasound (US) images have been preprocessed. The main objective of this study was achieved by comparatively analyzing the classification performance of features using the Random Forest (RF), Extra Trees (ET) classifier, and bagging ensemble method based on XGBoot classifier. In presented study, the XGBoost classifier and BHT image processing method give an accuracy of 89.8% in a binary classification, benign versus malignant breast cancer. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents an insight into the smart metering field. The paper address specifics of different network hierarchy structures (wide area networks, neighborhood area networks, and home area networks) and topologies used for this purpose (mesh, point-to-point, virtual point-to-point, or broadcast networks). Next, we focus on listing and describing some of the most commonly used communication technologies (both wired and wireless, such as power line communication, public switched telephone network, digital subscriber line, radiofrequency, in-home radio frequency, wireless local area network, or mobile network communications), their characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages utilized for remote and smart metering. © 2022 Croatian Society MIPRO.

Drone-based predictive structure analysis is a rapidly growing field that has the potential to revolutionize infrastructure and building inspection. In this review of the research, we give a general overview of how drones could increase the effectiveness and precision of structural analysis, particularly for keeping an eye on difficult-to-reach locations. The usage of drones for 3D mapping, inspection, and monitoring of diverse constructions, such as concrete buildings, bridges, tunnels, and dams. The investigations show that drone-based inspection can produce 3D models and high-resolution photos, allowing for remote monitoring and the early identification of possible problems. The findings show that drones may greatly boost infrastructure management's safety and effectiveness, making them an important tool for predictive structural research. © 2023 IEEE.

In the context of detecting dangerous illnesses of the patient affected by skin lesions, this study is focused on the problem of improving the classification of melanoma vs. normal nevus considering neural network and new proposed features based on high and low pixels intensity, and densities of the pattern detected with hit-or-miss (HoM) morphological transform. A large set of features from color spaces such as RGB (red, green, and blue), HSV (hue, saturation, and value) and L∗a∗b∗ (lightness variable L∗, chromaticity indices a∗ and b∗) were initially extracted and grouped in two parts: the first group includes first and second order features, and the second group contains hybrid features (a mix of first order, second order features and proposed features). The dimensionality of the features from these two groups is considerably reduced with principal component analysis (PCA) statistical method and fed three different types of neural network (NN): Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN), Cascade-Forward Neural Network (CFNN) and Pattern Recognition Neural Network (PRNN). From this corroboration of hybrid features, color space and NN, the L∗a∗b∗ color space with CFNN provided accuracy (ACC) of 0.897, F1-score of 0.91 and area under the ROC curve (AUC) of 0.896, respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper various BLE protocols for communication between remote or Android applications and intelligent dual channel (cool and warm white) LED lamps were reverse engineered. Three protocols were fully decoded and several partially. Replay attack is tested and confirmed working. Demo C++ library was developed and a proof-of-concept firmware for esp32 based development board was used to verify the decoding and the attacks applicability. © 2023 IEEE.

This work is devoted to a detailed description of the quality flags of the Sampled Values protocol of the IEC 61850 standard for digital current and voltage transformers. The relevance of this article is due to the fact that the quality flags are not strictly and in detail described in the standard itself, therefore, manufacturers of equipment for digital current and voltage transformers fill in the quality flags if there are problems with data or device at their own discretion. The first part provides information on the structure of interaction between elements of a digital measuring system, describes the advantages of using quality flags in digital data transmission protocols relative to traditional transformers. In the second part, special attention is paid to the interpretation of quality flags in the IEC 61850 standard and the lack of a clear formulation of their applicability in real devices. The third part offers new interpretation of these quality flags with an example of use based on the developed measuring system. At the end of the article, evidence of the correct operation of the described quality flags is provided using a test bench and equipment for analyzing the Sampled Values protocol.

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition is the main and currently remains the most promising method of automated control of complex dynamic systems. In this article the development of a software package installed on embedded Linux-based systems for managing and monitoring energy facilities is discussed. The main part of the article consists of 3 sections. The first section describes the structural diagrams of the entire software package. The UML diagrams of individual software modules designed for processing and transferring data to other devices are presented. The second section describes the structure and appearance of the web interface, describes possible scenarios for user interaction with the interface. At the end, the results of testing performed using a specially created test bench are presented. The entire software base of the developed complex was implemented by the authors of this article. The developed software package has unique characteristics in terms of functionality in conditions of limited resources, and therefore is fully suitable for managing energy facilities based on embedded systems.

These tool and procedures are utilized to earlier uncover of tuberculosis (TB) illness. Additionally arrange the sort of TB.
