Online social gaming is an emerging Internet application that combines online gaming and online social networking functionality for the benefit of millions of daily users. While researchers have investigated the structure of (social) networks for decades, the activity characteristics and the community structure of online social gaming remain relatively unknown. To address this situation, in this work we investigate the BBO Fans club for online bridge. First, we introduce a method to collect and analyze data from BBO Fans and its underlying gaming platform. Our method is novel in that it addresses the lack of a strict definition of social relationship between BBO Fans players, and it defines several player types with implications on community formation and operation. Second, we use the proposed method to collect and analyze a 40-day BBO Fans dataset comprising over 140,000 unique players and over 3,000,000 unique play sessions. Third, we compare the characteristics of BBO Fans with other large social networking and online gaming applications. We find in particular that BBO Fans generates similar levels of activity as but has different community characteristics than similarly-sized games on FaceBook, the largest social network in the world.

This paper presents a practical implementation of a custom wireless access point with display module to view the communication and configuration parameters. For the display module we design a hierarchy menu system, with control buttons that enable the user to scroll to specific types of information and select between parameters. The display module is very useful for embedded systems with limited resources because it offers status information about connected users, ROM/RAM usage, IP address, connection types, transfer rates, bandwidth, etc. without the need to enter the configuration menu using web interface.

In this paper we introduce an adaptive fuzzy neural network framework for classification of data stream using a partially supervised learning algorithm. The framework consists of an evolving granular neural network capable of processing nonstationary data streams using a one-pass incremental algorithm. The granular neural network evolves fuzzy hyperboxes and uses nullnorm based neurons to classify data. The learning algorithm performs structural and parametric adaptation whenever environment changes are reflected in input data. It needs no prior statistical knowledge about data and classes. Computational experiments show that the fuzzy granular neural network is robust against different types of concept drift, and is able to handle unlabeled examples efficiently.

Grid is a hardware and software infrastructure which allows the sharing of flexible, secure and coordinated resources among dynamic collections of individuals, organizations and resources. The resources that are utilized in a Grid network are complex. There could be computing resources (PDA, PCs, workstations, servers, and clusters), storage resources (hard-disks, memory), Input-Output resources (sensors, networks, printers) or logical resources (users, timers etc) [1]. With the evolution of Grid systems and with the high capacity data transfer, will occur security issues. This topic is known in the Grid field as some of the necessary element to ensure the safeguard of the resources. Networks are recognized as a critical infrastructure which grew over the years and which continues to grow, because of the increasing dependence on computer systems. The system configuration, operational requirements for individual components, success criteria and stress on the components, can change from phase to phase. Furthermore, the duration of any phase can use deterministic or random models. All these changes and possibilities affect the system reliability. Thus, in this paper, we analyze the danger's system reliability from this point of view.
