Abstract having a suitable model is one of the most important steps in active noise and vibration control systems. There are many applications in which the derived numerical model does not show the system behavior appropriately. In such cases, obtaining a model using system identification methods can play a special role. To this aim, in this paper the problem of identification of a flexible plate which is attached to upper side of an enclosure is addressed. The frequency response of the plate is measured between the two specific points and the data are applied to the several subspace-based frequency domain identification algorithms with and without Instrumental Variable method. Since the real system, by nature, is stable and the models identified in all cases are unstable, in the next step stabilization algorithm with different initial values is used to extract the stable part of the system. Finally, the qualities of the stabilized identified models are evaluated by calculating the RMS error between the measured and identified models.

Different type dynamic systems in functional work phase lose performance and it's necessary to establish normal operation level by using external influence. External influence can be defined as recovery method. In practice exists different possibilities how to resume performance of system and the main objective is to select the most efficient solution. In the article new approach for normal operation recovery selection is defined, including each recovery and recoveries complex assessment for optimal solution selection. For optimal solution choice benefit and disadvantage criteria are proposed. For practical implementation in case of medicine, arterial hypertension evaluation and pathogenesis therapy selection is described.

Mathematical models are constructed and used as a methodology of various functioning systems structure investigation and performance analysis. The main goal of mathematical model usage is to perform wholesome diagnostics and correct work resumption of investigated system. In the article topological modeling method has been investigated by giving fundamental basics and application spheres by examples. Authors propose model construction method with an example from medicine by creating multiple diseases (arterial hypertension, atherosclerosis and diabetes mellitus) evolution topological model with formal aspects. Developed modeling method and united diseases model can be used to prognosticate evolution of diseases, perform inspection of used therapies and provide information for optimal therapy complex selection.

The agent's decision mechanism should take into account only the events which can influence the agent's decision. That is way it is necessary to embed the event processing technology into multi-agent systems decision mechanism. From the stimuli received by the agent, there are selected only the ones which can influence their behaviour and based on this information the complex event processing module gives as output complex events. These complex events result from a series of operations like grouping, aggregation, sorting, filtering, merging, splitting or duplication of events. This paper focus on multilayer feedforward neural networks, the most popular and widely-used paradigms in many applications, including energy forecasting Precisely, it provides a multilayer perceptron (MLP) architecture, capable to forecast the DPcg (difference between the electricity produced and consumed) in relation with solar radiation, for shortterm horizon. The forecasting accuracy and precision, in capturing nonlinear interdependencies between the load and solar radiation of this structure is illustrated and discussed using a data based obtain from an experimental photovoltaic amphitheatre of minimum dimension 0.4kV/10kW.

In this paper we study the problem of designing SVM classifiers when the kernel matrix, K, is affected by uncertainty. Specifically K is modeled as a positive affine combination of given positive semi definite kernels, with the coefficients ranging in a norm-bounded uncertainty set. We treat the problem using the Robust Optimization methodology. This reduces the uncertain SVM problem into a deterministic conic quadratic problem which can be solved in principle by a polynomial time Interior Point (IP) algorithm. However, for large-scale classification problems, IP methods become intractable and one has to resort to first-order gradient type methods. The strategy we use here is to reformulate the robust counterpart of the uncertain SVM problem as a saddle point problem and employ a special gradient scheme which works directly on the convex-concave saddle function. The algorithm is a simplified version of a general scheme due to Juditski and Nemirovski (2011). It achieves an O(1/T2) reduction of the initial error after T iterations. A comprehensive empirical study on both synthetic data and real-world protein structure data sets show that the proposed formulations achieve the desired robustness, and the saddle point based algorithm outperforms the IP method significantly.

The paper presents a method of validation of the informatics systems designed for the business environment, through their implementation and use in an exercise company. As opposed to the audit of administration informatics systems or the well-known software testing methods, the method we propose evaluates the manner in which the software applications adapt to the integral pass through an information processing flow, corresponding to some basic functions of the company (supply, production, distribution, etc.). In this manner we obtain complete and good quality results, at reduced costs of the evaluation process.

This paper deals with a three-phase inverter controller design for monobloc configuration of small swirl turbine. The aim is an phasing of the system to grid. A simulation design is described which leads to cascade controller with simple structure: lower loop is used for amplitude control and upper loop for phase control. First the highly nonlinear detailed three-phase inverter with switching components and diodes is modeled. Then based on RMS measurement a compensated LTI model is extracted which is used by H-infinity loop-shaping controller synthesis for both controllers design. Lastly design results are verified by simulations applying original three-phase inverter model taking into account high level of disturbances. Resulting system meets with reserve desired behaviour.
