This proposed research is concerned with the development of a Semantic Web representation of supply chains deploying and manufacturing semiconductors. The so-called digital twin is a prototype for virtualizing the electronic component supplier (ECS) value chain, aiming for a holistic digitalization across the entire product life cycle. With its unique advantages, Semantic Web will contribute to overcoming current Big Data issues and to getting one step closer to smart factories. This includes enhanced smart collaboration between both business and project partners. Furthermore, it is shown in first business use cases how the developed ontology is supporting selected applications to manage data more efficiently and to build a comprehensive knowledge representation. © The Author(s) 2020.

At present, there are a lot of researches on the metric about static source code. However, there are few studies about automatic code generation. Based on the quality and efficiency of automatic code generation, this paper proposes the metric model including six metric characteristics. Then, three automatic code generation tools are used to measure the experimental source code. Finally, the experimental results showed that the metric of automatic code generation is effective.

The work presented in this paper focuses on formulating the development of time-dependent electromagnetic field laws through the application of Gauss's divergence theorem. The first part of the discussion looks at the basic ideas of electromagnetism. It focuses on how classical formulations of the laws of electromagnetism can be adapted to account for non-stationary conditions, especially regarding magnetic fluids that don't conduct electricity. It is suggested that employing Gauss's divergence theorem could help improve the computational analysis of these generalized equations, which would make them more useful in magnetic fluid dynamics. The paper examines the intricate interactions between non-conductive particles and conductive fluids under magnetic fields. By putting these interactions into a single theoretical framework, this work aims to help us understand non-stationary electromagnetic phenomena and how they affect many different scientific and engineering fields. The concluding section of the study examines the prospective practical applications of these extended equations. They could enable the development of more advanced electromagnetic devices and systems. Creating a strong set of analytical tools that can find new scientific paths and useful applications is the main goal of the study, particularly in the areas of electromagnetic induction and fluid dynamics. This research offers potential for substantial progress in both theoretical comprehension and technological advancement, The proposed method is applicable to real-world systems such as ferrofluid-based cooling, magnetic dampers, plasma generators, and smart electromagnetic devices. These applications demonstrate the practical benefits of coupling field behavior with boundary dynamics using Gauss's theorem. © 2025

For the problem of heterogenous fleet dynamic vehicle rounting, a memetic algorithm was proposed to optimize the minimum vehicle number and transportation cost. In order to improve the global exploration ability of the algorithm, an improved distribution estimation algorithm is used in the pre-optimization phase of global search, Quantum genetic algorithm is used in real - time optimization. The client node reset and 2-opt algorithm are adopted to enhance the local search ability of the algorithm. Finally, the validity of the algorithm is verified by simulation experiments.

Vision transformers (ViTs) inherited the success of NLP but their structures have not been sufficiently investigated and optimized for visual tasks. One of the simplest solutions is to directly search the optimal one via the widely used neural architecture search (NAS) in CNNs. However, we empirically find this straightforward adaptation would encounter catastrophic failures and be frustratingly unstable for the training of superformer. In this paper, we argue that since ViTs mainly operate on token embeddings with little inductive bias, imbalance of channels for different architectures would worsen the weight-sharing assumption and cause the training instability as a result. Therefore, we develop a new cyclic weight-sharing mechanism for token embeddings of the ViTs, which enables each channel could more evenly contribute to all candidate architectures. Besides, we also propose identity shifting to alleviate the many-to-one issue in superformer and leverage weak augmentation and regularization techniques for more steady training empirically. Based on these, our proposed method, ViTAS, has achieved significant superiority in both DeiT- and Twins-based ViTs. For example, with only 1.4G FLOPs budget, our searched architecture has 3.3% ImageNet-1k accuracy than the baseline DeiT. With 3.0G FLOPs, our results achieve 82.0% accuracy on ImageNet-1k, and 45.9% mAP on COCO2017 which is 2.4% superior than other ViTs. Copyright © 2021, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This paper describes the determination of the fault location in the power system. This problem is solved in two steps: by determining the line on which the fault occurred using the classification algorithm of the decision tree and determining the fault location on the line by linear regression. In the first step, the decision tree algorithm is used to classify the short circuit and to determine the faulted line based on the information about the residual voltages (voltage dips) on the buses due to the occurrence of a short circuit. In the second step, linear regression is used to find the fault location on the faulted line. The algorithm is tested using the 39-bus IEEE test system.

Time delay estimation using fixed-time terminal sliding mode control (TDEFxSMC) for unknown nonlinear systems with uncertainty and external disturbances is presented in this study. Firstly, the notion of fixed-time terminal sliding mode control (FxSMC) is outlined and thoroughly examined. Using the FxSMC scheme, nonsingular fixed-time control, non-chatter control inputs, and high performance tracking positions have been achieved. To estimate the unknown dynamics, proposed method incorporates a TDE scheme. The Lyapunov theorem is applied to find whether the proposed system can achieve its stability in a fixed-time. The effectiveness of the suggested method is evaluated and demonstrated by presenting the results of the proposed method implemented to the nonlinear robot dynamics.

This work presents a system developed to determine changes in the impedance of an eddy current probe placed above a conductive disc containing two layers of different diameters. In the first step, an analytical model was derived with an employment of the truncated region eigenfunction expansion (TREE) method. The final formula for the probe impedance change was presented in a closed form, which makes it possible to implement it in any programming language or computer algebra system. The mathematical model was implemented in MATLAB and used to design probes and to determine the optimal test parameters. In the next step, two eddy current probes with a single coil with different geometric dimensions were constructed. Impedance measurements were carried out using an LCR meter for three sets of double-layer discs. The tested discs were made of materials with different electrical conductivities. The upper and lower layers of the disc also differed in terms of the geometric dimensions, i.e., the diameter and thickness. The tests were performed for the operating frequency of the probe ranging from 1 kHz to 10 kHz. In all cases, a very good agreement was obtained between the measurement and the calculation results. Both the error in the changes in resistance and the error in the changes in reactance did not exceed 3.5%.

Streamlined weirs, as a nature-inspired type of weirs, has gained tremendous attention among hydraulic engineers mainly due to their well-known performance with high discharge coefficient. Computational fluid dynamic (CDF) is considered as a robust tool to predict discharge coefficient. To bypass the computational cost of CFD-based assessment, the present study proposes data-driven modelling techniques, as an alternative to CFD simulation, to predict discharge coefficient based on an experimental dataset. To this end, after splitting the dataset by k-fold cross-validation technique, the performance assessment of classical and hybrid machine-deep learning (ML-DL) algorithms is undertaken. Amongst ML techniques, linear regression (LR), random forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM), k-nearest neighbours (KNN), and decision tree (DT) algorithms are studied . In the context of DL, long short-term memory (LSTM), convolutional neural network (CNN), gated recurrent unit (GRU) and their hybrid forms such as LSTM-GRU, CNN-LSTM and CNN-GRU techniques are compared by different error metrics. It is found that the proposed three-layer hierarchical DL algorithm consisting of a convolutional layer coupled with two subsequent GRU levels, which is also hybridized by LR method (i.e., LR-CGRU), leads to lower error metrics. It is an enormous challenge for intelligent robots or vehicles to detect and avoid collisions at night because of poor light conditions. Thermal cameras capture the night scenes with temperature maps, often showing in different pseudo-colour modes to enhance the visual effects for the human eyes. Since the features of approaching objects could have been well enhanced in the pseudo colour outputs of a thermal camera, colour cues could likely help the collision detector - lobula giant movement detector (LGMD) to pick up the collision cues nicely. However, no investigation has been published on this aspect, and it is unclear whether the LGMD-like visual neural networks can take pseudo-colour information as inputs for collision detection in extremely dim conditions. In this study, we proposed a model consisting of three sub-networks, each dealing with one specific opponent colour channel, i.e., black-white, red-green, and yellow-blue. A collision alarm will be triggered if any channel’s output has exceeded its threshold for a few successive frames. Systematical experiments have been carried out to verify the proposed neural network with different thermal pseudo-colour modes in various nighttime scenarios. Our experiments demonstrated that the proposed bioinspired collision detection system works well in detecting colliding objects in direct collision courses at low light conditions quickly. The proposed method showed its potential to be part of the sensor systems for future robots or vehicles at night or in other extreme light conditions to avoid fatal collisions. © 2023, The Authors.
